Surah Zumar with Urdu & English Translation and Audio - سورۃ الزمر

تَنزِیلُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡحَكِیمِ

یہ کتاب الله کی طرف سے نازل کی گئی ہے جو غالب حکمت والا ہے

The revelation of the Qur'an is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Tanzeelul Kitaabi minal laahil 'Azeezil Hakeem

إِنَّاۤ أَنزَلۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَٱعۡبُدِ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصࣰا لَّهُ ٱلدِّینَ

بے شک ہم نے یہ کتاب ٹھیک طور پر آپ کی طرف نازل کی ہے پس تو خالص الله ہی کی فرمانبرداری مدِ نظر رکھ کر اسی کی عبادت کر

Indeed, We have sent down to you the Book, [O Muhammad], in truth. So worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion.

Innaaa anzalnaaa ilaikal Kitaaba bilhaqqi fa'budil laaha mukhlisal lahud deen

أَلَا لِلَّهِ ٱلدِّینُ ٱلۡخَالِصُۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَ مَا نَعۡبُدُهُمۡ إِلَّا لِیُقَرِّبُونَاۤ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ زُلۡفَىٰۤ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَحۡكُمُ بَیۡنَهُمۡ فِی مَا هُمۡ فِیهِ یَخۡتَلِفُونَۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یَهۡدِی مَنۡ هُوَ كَـٰذِبࣱ كَفَّارࣱ

خبردار! خالص فرمانبرداری الله ہی کے لیے ہے جنہوں نے اس کے سوا اور کارساز بنا لیے ہیں ہم ان کی عبادت نہیں کرتے مگر اس لیے کہ وہ ہمیں الله سے قریب کر دیں بے شک الله ان کے درمیان ان باتوں میں فیصلہ کرے گا جن میں وہ اختلاف کرتےتھے بے شک الله اسے ہدایت نہیں کرتا جو جھوٹا ناشکرگزار ہو

Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position." Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.

Alaa lillaahid deenul khaalis; wallazeenat takhazoo min dooniheee awliyaaa'a maa na'buduhum illaa liyuqar riboonaaa ilal laahi zulfaa; innal laaha yahkumu baina hum fee maa hum feehi yakhtalifoon; innal laaha laa yahdee man huwa kaazibun kaffaar

لَّوۡ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ أَن یَتَّخِذَ وَلَدࣰا لَّٱصۡطَفَىٰ مِمَّا یَخۡلُقُ مَا یَشَاۤءُۚ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥۖ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡوَ ٰ⁠حِدُ ٱلۡقَهَّارُ

اگر الله چاہتا کہ کسی کو فرزند بنائے تواپنی مخلوقات میں سے جسے چاہتا چن لیتا وہ پاک ہے وہ الله ایک بڑا غالب ہے

If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allah, the One, the Prevailing.

Law araadal laahu aiyattakhiza waladal lastafaa mimmaa yakhluqu maa yashaaa'; Subhaanahoo Huwal laahul Waahidul Qahhaar

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ یُكَوِّرُ ٱلَّیۡلَ عَلَى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَیُكَوِّرُ ٱلنَّهَارَ عَلَى ٱلَّیۡلِۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلࣱّ یَجۡرِی لِأَجَلࣲ مُّسَمًّىۗ أَلَا هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرُ

اس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو حکمت سے پیدا کیا وہ رات کو دن پر لپیٹ دیتا ہے اور دن کو رات پر لپیٹ دیتا ہے اور اس نے سورج اور چاند کو تابع کر دیا ہے ہر ایک وقت مقرر تک چل رہا ہے خبرادار! وہی غالب بخشنے والا ہے

He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.

Khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; yukawwirul laila 'alan nahaari wa yukawwirun nahaara 'alaal laili wa sakhkharash shamsa walqamara kulluny yajree li ajalim musammaa; alaa Huwal 'Azeezul Ghaffaar

خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسࣲ وَ ٰ⁠حِدَةࣲ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ ثَمَـٰنِیَةَ أَزۡوَ ٰ⁠جࣲۚ یَخۡلُقُكُمۡ فِی بُطُونِ أُمَّهَـٰتِكُمۡ خَلۡقࣰا مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ خَلۡقࣲ فِی ظُلُمَـٰتࣲ ثَلَـٰثࣲۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمۡ لَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُۖ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصۡرَفُونَ

اس نے تمہیں ایک جان سے پیدا کیا پھر اس نے اس سے اس کی بیوی بنائی اور تمہارے لیے آٹھ نر اور مادہ چارپایوں کے پیدا کیے وہ تمہیں تمہاری ماؤں کے پیٹوں میں ایک کیفیت کے بعد دوسری کیفیت پر تین اندھیروں میں بناتا ہے یہی الله تمہارا رب ہے اسی کی بادشاہی ہے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں پس تم کہاں پھرے جا رہے ہو

He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?

Khalaqakum min nafsinw waahidatin summa ja'ala minhaa zawjahaa wa anzala lakum minal-an'aami samaani yata azwaaj; yakhuluqukum fee butooni ummahaatikum khalqam mim ba'di khalqin fee zulumaatin salaas; zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum lahul mulk; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fa annaa tusrafoon

إِن تَكۡفُرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِیٌّ عَنكُمۡۖ وَلَا یَرۡضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ ٱلۡكُفۡرَۖ وَإِن تَشۡكُرُوا۟ یَرۡضَهُ لَكُمۡۗ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةࣱ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَیُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

اگر تم انکار کرو تو بے شک الله تم سے بے نیاز ہے اور وہ اپنے بندوں کے لیے کفر کو پسند نہیں کرتا اور اگر تم شکر کرو تو وہ اسے تمہارے لیے پسند کرتا ہے اور کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والا دوسرے کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھائے گا پھر اپنے رب ہی کی طرف تمہیں لوٹ کر جانا ہے سو وہ تمہیں بتا دے گا جو کچھ تم کرتے رہے ہو بے شک وہ سینوں کے بھید جاننے والا ہے

If you disbelieve - indeed, Allah is Free from need of you. And He does not approve for His servants disbelief. And if you are grateful, He approves it for you; and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you about what you used to do. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

In takfuroo fa innal laaha ghaniyyun 'ankum; wa laa yardaa li'ibaadihil kufra wa in tashkuroo yardahu lakum; wa laa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa; summa ilaa Rabikum marji'ukum fa-yunabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon; innahoo 'aleemum bizaatissudoor

۞ وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ ضُرࣱّ دَعَا رَبَّهُۥ مُنِیبًا إِلَیۡهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَهُۥ نِعۡمَةࣰ مِّنۡهُ نَسِیَ مَا كَانَ یَدۡعُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِ مِن قَبۡلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلَّهِ أَندَادࣰا لِّیُضِلَّ عَن سَبِیلِهِۦۚ قُلۡ تَمَتَّعۡ بِكُفۡرِكَ قَلِیلًا إِنَّكَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ

اور جب انسان کو تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو اپنے رب کواس کی طرف رجوع کر کے پکارتا ہے پھر جب وہ اسے کوئی نعمت اپنی طرف سے عطا کرتا ہے تو جس کے لیے پہلے پکارتا تھا اسے بھول جاتا ہے اور اس کے لیے شریک بناتا ہے تاکہ اس کی راہ سے گمراہ کرے کہہ دو اپنے کفر میں تھوڑی مدت فائد ہ اٹھا لے بے شک تو دوزخیوں میں سے ہے

And when adversity touches man, he calls upon his Lord, turning to Him [alone]; then when He bestows on him a favor from Himself, he forgets Him whom he called upon before, and he attributes to Allah equals to mislead [people] from His way. Say, "Enjoy your disbelief for a little; indeed, you are of the companions of the Fire."

Wa izaa massal insaana durrun da'aa Rabbahoo muneeban ilaihi summa izaa khawwalahoo ni'matam minhu nasiya maa kaana yad'ooo ilaihi min qablu wa ja'ala lillaahi andaadal liyudilla 'ansabeelih; qul tamatta' bikufrika qaleelan innaka min Ashaabin Naar;

أَمَّنۡ هُوَ قَـٰنِتٌ ءَانَاۤءَ ٱلَّیۡلِ سَاجِدࣰا وَقَاۤىِٕمࣰا یَحۡذَرُ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةَ وَیَرۡجُوا۟ رَحۡمَةَ رَبِّهِۦۗ قُلۡ هَلۡ یَسۡتَوِی ٱلَّذِینَ یَعۡلَمُونَ وَٱلَّذِینَ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَۗ إِنَّمَا یَتَذَكَّرُ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ

(کیا کافر بہتر ہے) یا وہ جو رات کے اوقات میں سجدہ اور قیام کی حالت میں عبادت کر رہا ہو آخرت سے ڈر رہا ہو اور اپنے رب کی رحمت کی امید کر رہا ہو کہہ دو کیا علم والے اور بے علم برابر ہو سکتے ہیں سمجھتے وہی ہیں جو عقل والے ہیں

Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding.

Amman huwa qaanitun aanaaa'al laili saajidanw wa qaaa'imai yahzarul Aakhirata wa yarjoo rahmata Rabbih; qul hal yastawil lazeena ya'lamoona wallazeena laa ya'lamoon; innamaa yatazakkaru ulul albaab

قُلۡ یَـٰعِبَادِ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡۚ لِلَّذِینَ أَحۡسَنُوا۟ فِی هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا حَسَنَةࣱۗ وَأَرۡضُ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٰ⁠سِعَةٌۗ إِنَّمَا یُوَفَّى ٱلصَّـٰبِرُونَ أَجۡرَهُم بِغَیۡرِ حِسَابࣲ

کہہ دو اے میرے بندو جو ایمان لائےہو اپنے رب سے ڈرو ان کے لیے جنھوں نے اس دنیا میں نیکی کی ہے اچھا بدلہ ہے اور الله کی زمین کشادہ ہے بے شک صبر کرنے والوں کو ان کا اجر بے حساب دیا جائے گا

Say, "O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account."

Qul yaa 'ibaadil lazeena aamanut taqoo Rabbakum; lillazeena ahsanoo fee haazihid dunyaa hasanah; wa ardul laahi waasi'ah; innamaa yuwaffas saabiroona ajrahum bighayri hisab

قُلۡ إِنِّیۤ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصࣰا لَّهُ ٱلدِّینَ

کہہ دو مجھے حکم ہوا ہے کہ میں الله کی اس طرح عبادت کروں کہ عبادت کو اس کے لیے خاص رکھوں

Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion.

Qul inneee umirtu an a'budal laaha mukhlisal lahud deen

وَأُمِرۡتُ لِأَنۡ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ

اور مجھے یہ بھی حکم ہوا ہے کہ میں سب سے پہلا فرمانبردار بنوں

And I have been commanded to be the first [among you] of the Muslims."

Wa umirtu li an akoona awwalal muslimeen

قُلۡ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ إِنۡ عَصَیۡتُ رَبِّی عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ

کہہ دو میں بڑے دن کے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہوں اگر اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کروں

Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day."

Qul inneee akhaafu in 'asaitu Rabbee 'azaaba Yawmin 'azeem

قُلِ ٱللَّهَ أَعۡبُدُ مُخۡلِصࣰا لَّهُۥ دِینِی

کہہ دو میں خالص الله ہی کی اطاعت کرتے ہوئے اس کی عبادت کر تا ہوں

Say, "Allah [alone] do I worship, sincere to Him in my religion,

Qulil laaha a'budu mukhlisal lahoo deenee

فَٱعۡبُدُوا۟ مَا شِئۡتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرِینَ ٱلَّذِینَ خَسِرُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَأَهۡلِیهِمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۗ أَلَا ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخُسۡرَانُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ

پھر تم اس کے سوا جس کی چاہو عبادت کرو کہہ دو خسارہ اٹھانے والے وہ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے جان اور اپنے گھر والوں کو قیامت کے روز خسارہ میں ڈال دیا یاد رکھو! یہ صریح خسارہ ہے

So worship what you will besides Him." Say, "Indeed, the losers are the ones who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the manifest loss."

Fa'budoo maa shi'tum min doonih; qul innal khaasireenal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum wa ahleehim yawmal qiyaamah; alaa zaalika huwal khusraanul mubeen

لَهُم مِّن فَوۡقِهِمۡ ظُلَلࣱ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمِن تَحۡتِهِمۡ ظُلَلࣱۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ یُخَوِّفُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦ عِبَادَهُۥۚ یَـٰعِبَادِ فَٱتَّقُونِ

ان کے اوپر بھی آگ کے سائبان ہوں گے اور ان کے نیچے بھی سائبان ہوں گے یہی بات ہے جس کا ا لله اپنے بندوں کو خوف دلاتا ہے کہ اے میرے بندو! مجھ سے ڈرتے رہو

They will have canopies of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allah threatens His servants. O My servants, then fear Me.

Lahum min fawqihim zulalum minan Naari wa min tahtihim zulal; zaalika yukhaw wiful laahu bihee 'ibaadah; yaa 'ibaadi fattaqoon

وَٱلَّذِینَ ٱجۡتَنَبُوا۟ ٱلطَّـٰغُوتَ أَن یَعۡبُدُوهَا وَأَنَابُوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ لَهُمُ ٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰۚ فَبَشِّرۡ عِبَادِ

اور جو لوگ شیطانوں کو پوجنے سے بچتے رہے اور الله کی طرف رجوع ہوئے ان کے لیے خوشخبری ہے پس میرےبندوں کو خوشخبری دے دو

But those who have avoided Taghut, lest they worship it, and turned back to Allah - for them are good tidings. So give good tidings to My servants

Wallazeenaj tanabut Taaghoota ai ya'budoohaa wa anaabooo ilal laahi lahumul bushraa; fabashshir 'ibaad

ٱلَّذِینَ یَسۡتَمِعُونَ ٱلۡقَوۡلَ فَیَتَّبِعُونَ أَحۡسَنَهُۥۤۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ هَدَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمۡ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ

جو توجہ سے بات کو سنتے ہیں پھر اچھی بات کی پیروی کرتے ہیں یہی ہیں جنہیں الله نے ہدایت کی ہے اور یہی عقل والے ہیں

Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allah has guided, and those are people of understanding.

Allazeena yastami'oonal qawla fayattabi'oona ahsanah; ulaaa'ikal lazeena hadaahumul laahu wa ulaaa'ika hum ulul albaab

أَفَمَنۡ حَقَّ عَلَیۡهِ كَلِمَةُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ أَفَأَنتَ تُنقِذُ مَن فِی ٱلنَّارِ

پس کیا جسے عذاب کا حکم ہو چکا ہے (نجات والے کے برابر ہے) کیا آپ اسے چھوڑ سکتے ہیں جو آگ میں ہے

Then, is one who has deserved the decree of punishment [to be guided]? Then, can you save one who is in the Fire?

Afaman haqqa 'alaihi kalimatul 'azaab; afa anta tunqizu man fin Naar

لَـٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّقَوۡا۟ رَبَّهُمۡ لَهُمۡ غُرَفࣱ مِّن فَوۡقِهَا غُرَفࣱ مَّبۡنِیَّةࣱ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُۖ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ لَا یُخۡلِفُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمِیعَادَ

لیکن جو لوگ اپنےرب سے ڈرتے رہے ان کے لیے بالا خانے ہیں جن کے اوپر اوربالا خانے بنے ہوئے ہیں ان کے نیچے نہریں چلتی ہوں گی یہ الله کا وعدہ ہے اور الله اپنے وعدے کے خلاف نہیں کرتا

But those who have feared their Lord - for them are chambers, above them chambers built high, beneath which rivers flow. [This is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in [His] promise.

Laakinil lazeenat taqaw Rabbahum lahum ghurafum min fawqihaa ghurafum mabniyyatun tajree min tahtihal anhaar; wa'dal laah; laa yukhliful laahul mee'aad

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَسَلَكَهُۥ یَنَـٰبِیعَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ثُمَّ یُخۡرِجُ بِهِۦ زَرۡعࣰا مُّخۡتَلِفًا أَلۡوَ ٰ⁠نُهُۥ ثُمَّ یَهِیجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصۡفَرࣰّا ثُمَّ یَجۡعَلُهُۥ حُطَـٰمًاۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَذِكۡرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِی ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ

کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ الله ہی آسمان سے پانی اتارتا ہے پھر اسے چشمے بنا کر زمین میں چلا دیتا ہے پھر اس کے ذریعے سے کھیتی مختلف رنگوں کی اگاتا ہے پھر خوب ابھرتی ہے پھر آپ اسے زردشدہ دیکھتے ہیں پھر اسے ریزہ ریزہ کر دیتا ہے بے شک اس میں عقل مندوں کے لیے عبرت ہے

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky and makes it flow as springs [and rivers] in the earth; then He produces thereby crops of varying colors; then they dry and you see them turned yellow; then He makes them [scattered] debris. Indeed in that is a reminder for those of understanding.

Alam tara annal laaha anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fasalakahoo yanaabee'a fil ardi summa yukhriju bihee zar'am mukhtalifan alwaanuhoo summa yaheeju fatarahu musfarran summa yaj'aluhoo hutaamaa; inna fee zaalika lazikraa li ulil albaab

أَفَمَن شَرَحَ ٱللَّهُ صَدۡرَهُۥ لِلۡإِسۡلَـٰمِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورࣲ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ فَوَیۡلࣱ لِّلۡقَـٰسِیَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مِّن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینٍ

بھلا جس کا سینہ الله نے دین اسلام کے لئے کھول دیا ہے سو وہ اپنے رب کی طرف سے روشنی میں ہے سوجن لوگوں کے دل الله کے ذکر سے متاثر نہیں ہوتے ان کے لیے بڑی خرابی ہے یہ لوگ کھلی گمراہی میں ہیں

So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to [accept] Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord [like one whose heart rejects it]? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah. Those are in manifest error.

Afaman sharahal laahu sadrahoo lil Islaami fahuwa 'alaa noorim mir Rabbih; fa wailul lilqaasiyati quloobuhum min zikril laah; ulaaa'ika fee dalaalim mubeen

ٱللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحۡسَنَ ٱلۡحَدِیثِ كِتَـٰبࣰا مُّتَشَـٰبِهࣰا مَّثَانِیَ تَقۡشَعِرُّ مِنۡهُ جُلُودُ ٱلَّذِینَ یَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُمۡ ثُمَّ تَلِینُ جُلُودُهُمۡ وَقُلُوبُهُمۡ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ یَهۡدِی بِهِۦ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَمَن یُضۡلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنۡ هَادٍ

الله ہی نے بہترین کلام نال کیا ہے یعنی کتاب باہم ملتی جلتی ہے (اس کی آیات) دہرائی جاتی ہیں جس سے خدا ترس لوگوں کے رونگٹے کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں پھر ان کی کھالیں نرم ہوجاتی ہیں اور دل یاد الہیٰ کی طرف راغب ہوتے ہیں یہی الله کی ہدایت ہے اس کے ذریعے سے جسے چاہے راہ پر لے آتا ہے اور جسے الله گمراہ کر دے اسے راہ پر لانے والا کوئی نہیں

Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.

Allahu nazzala ahsanal hadeesi Kitaabam mutashaa biham masaaniy taqsha'irru minhu juloodul lazeena yakhshawna Rabbahum summa taleenu julooduhum wa quloo buhum ilaa zikril laah; zaalika hudal laahi yahdee bihee mai yashaaa'; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad

أَفَمَن یَتَّقِی بِوَجۡهِهِۦ سُوۤءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۚ وَقِیلَ لِلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ذُوقُوا۟ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡسِبُونَ

بھلا جو شخص اپنے منہ کو قیامت کے دن برے عذاب کی سپر بنائے گا اور ایسے ظالموں کو حکم ہوگا جو کچھ تم کیا کرتے تھے اس کا مزہ چکھو

Then is he who will shield with his face the worst of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection [like one secure from it]? And it will be said to the wrongdoers, "Taste what you used to earn."

Afamai yattaqee biwaj hihee sooo'al 'azaabi Yawmal Qiyaamah; wa qeela lizzaali meena zooqoo maa kuntum taksiboon

كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَیۡثُ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ

ان سے پہلے لوگوں نے بھی جھٹلایا تھاپھر ان پر اس طرح عذاب آیا کہ ان کو خبر بھی نہ ہوئی

Those before them denied, and punishment came upon them from where they did not perceive.

Kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fa ataahumul 'azaabu min haisu laa yash'uroon

فَأَذَاقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡخِزۡیَ فِی ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ أَكۡبَرُۚ لَوۡ كَانُوا۟ یَعۡلَمُونَ

پھر الله نے ان کو دنیا ہی کی زندگی میں رسوائی کا مزہ چکھایا اور آخرت کا عذاب تو اور بھی زیادہ ہے کاش وہ جانتے

So Allah made them taste disgrace in worldly life. But the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.

Fa azaaqahumul laahul khizya fil hayaatid dunyaa wa la'azaabul Aakirati akbar; law kaanoo ya'lamoon

وَلَقَدۡ ضَرَبۡنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِی هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلࣲ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ یَتَذَكَّرُونَ

اورہم نے لوگو ں کے لیے اس قرآن میں ہر قسم کی مثال بیان کر دی ہے تاکہ وہ نصیحت پکڑیں

And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example - that they might remember.

Wa laqad darabnaa linnaasi fee haazal Qur-aani min kulli masalil la'allahum yatazakkaroon

قُرۡءَانًا عَرَبِیًّا غَیۡرَ ذِی عِوَجࣲ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ یَتَّقُونَ

وہ عربی زبان کا بے عیب قرآن ہے تاکہ یہ لوگ ڈریں

[It is] an Arabic Qur'an, without any deviance that they might become righteous.

Qur-aanan 'Arabiyyan ghaira zee 'iwajil la'allahum yattaqoon

ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلࣰا رَّجُلࣰا فِیهِ شُرَكَاۤءُ مُتَشَـٰكِسُونَ وَرَجُلࣰا سَلَمࣰا لِّرَجُلٍ هَلۡ یَسۡتَوِیَانِ مَثَلًاۚ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ

الله نے ایک مثال بیان کی ہے ایک غلام ہے جس میں کئی ضدی شریک ہیں اور ایک غلام سالم ایک ہی شخص کا ہے کیا دونوں کی حالت برابر ہے سب تعریف الله ہی کے لیے ہے مگر ان میں سے اکثر نہیں سمجھتے

Allah presents an example: a slave owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah! But most of them do not know.

Darabal laahu masalar rajulan feehi shurakaaa'u mutashaakisoona wa rajulan salamal lirajulin hal tastawi yaani masalaa; alhamdu lillaah; bal aksaruhum laa ya'lamoon

إِنَّكَ مَیِّتࣱ وَإِنَّهُم مَّیِّتُونَ

بے شک آپ کو بھی مرنا ہے اور ان کو بھی مرنا ہے

Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die.

Innaka maiyitunw wa inna hum maiyitunw wa inna hum maiyitoon

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ عِندَ رَبِّكُمۡ تَخۡتَصِمُونَ

پھر بے شک تم قیامت کے دن اپنے رب کے ہاں آپس میں جھگڑو گے

Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute.

Summa innakum Yawmal Qiyaamati 'inda Rabbikum takhtasimoon

۞ فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَبَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلصِّدۡقِ إِذۡ جَاۤءَهُۥۤۚ أَلَیۡسَ فِی جَهَنَّمَ مَثۡوࣰى لِّلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ

پھر اس سے کون زیادہ ظالم ہے جس نے الله پرجھوٹ بولا اور سچی بات کو جھٹلایا جب اس کے پاس آئی کیا دوزخ میں کافروں کا ٹھکانا نہیں ہے

So who is more unjust than one who lies about Allah and denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a residence for the disbelievers?

Faman azlamu mimman kazaba 'alal laahi wa kazzaba bissidqi iz jaaa'ah; alaisa fee Jahannama maswal lilkaafir

وَٱلَّذِی جَاۤءَ بِٱلصِّدۡقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَ

اور جو سچی بات لایا اور جس نے اس کی تصدیق کی وہی پرہیزگار ہیں

And the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous.

Wallazee jaaa'a bissidqi wa saddaqa biheee ulaaa'ika humul muttaqoon

لَهُم مَّا یَشَاۤءُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ جَزَاۤءُ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ

ان کے لیے جو کچھ وہ چاہیں گے ان کے رب کے پاس موجود ہوگا نیکو کارو ں کا یہی بدلہ ہے

They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good -

Lahum maa yashaaa'oona 'inda Rabbihim; zaalika jazaaa'ul muhsineen

لِیُكَفِّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهُمۡ أَسۡوَأَ ٱلَّذِی عَمِلُوا۟ وَیَجۡزِیَهُمۡ أَجۡرَهُم بِأَحۡسَنِ ٱلَّذِی كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ

تاکہ الله ان سے وہ برائیاں دور کر دے جو انہوں نے کی تھیں اور الله ان کو ان کا اجر دے ان نیک کاموں کے بدلہ میں جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے

That Allah may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their due for the best of what they used to do.

Liyukaffiral laahu 'anhum aswa allazee 'amiloo wa yajziyahum ajrahum bi ahsanil lazee kaano ya'maloon

أَلَیۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبۡدَهُۥۖ وَیُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِٱلَّذِینَ مِن دُونِهِۦۚ وَمَن یُضۡلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنۡ هَادࣲ

کیا الله اپنے بندے کو کافی نہیں اور وہ آپ کو ان لوگوں سے ڈراتے ہیں جو اس کے سوا ہیں اور جسے الله گمراہ کر دے تو اسے راہ پر لانے والا کوئی نہیں

Is not Allah sufficient for His Servant [Prophet Muhammad]? And [yet], they threaten you with those [they worship] other than Him. And whoever Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.

Alaisal laahu bikaafin 'abdahoo wa yukhawwi foonaka billazeena min doonih; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad

وَمَن یَهۡدِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّضِلٍّۗ أَلَیۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِعَزِیزࣲ ذِی ٱنتِقَامࣲ

اور جسے الله راہ پر لے آئے تو اسے کوئی گمراہ کرنے والا نہیں کیا الله غالب بدلہ لینے والا نہیں ہے

And whoever Allah guides - for him there is no misleader. Is not Allah Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution?

Wa mai yahdil laahu famalahoo mim mudlil; alai sal laahu bi'azeezin zin tiqaam

وَلَىِٕن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ لَیَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُۚ قُلۡ أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِنۡ أَرَادَنِیَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلۡ هُنَّ كَـٰشِفَـٰتُ ضُرِّهِۦۤ أَوۡ أَرَادَنِی بِرَحۡمَةٍ هَلۡ هُنَّ مُمۡسِكَـٰتُ رَحۡمَتِهِۦۚ قُلۡ حَسۡبِیَ ٱللَّهُۖ عَلَیۡهِ یَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلُونَ

او راگر آپ ان سے پوچھیں آسمانوں اور زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے تو وہ ضرور کہیں گے الله نے کہہ دو بھلا دیکھو تو سہی جنہیں تم الله کے سوا پکارتے ہو اگر الله مجھے تکلیف دینا چاہے تو کیا وہ اس کی تکلیف کو دور کر سکتے ہیں یا وہ مجھ پر مہربانی کرنا چاہے تو کیا وہ اس مہربانی کو روک سکتے ہیں کہہ دو مجھے الله کافی ہے توکل کرنے والے اسی پر توکل کیا کرتے ہیں

And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allah? If Allah intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allah; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."

Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunal laah; qul afara'aitum maa tad'oona min doonil laahi in araadaniyal laahu bidurrin hal hunna kaashi faatu durriheee aw araadanee birahmatin hal hunna mumsikaatu rahmatih; qul hasbiyal laahu 'alaihi tatawakkalul mutawakkiloon

قُلۡ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمۡ إِنِّی عَـٰمِلࣱۖ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

کہہ دو اے میری قوم تم اپنی جگہ پر کام کیے جاؤ میں بھی کر رہا ہوں پھر تمہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا

Say, "O my people, work according to your position, [for] indeed, I am working; and you are going to know

Qul yaa qawmi'maloo 'alaa makaanatikum innee 'aamilun fasawfa ta'lamoon

مَن یَأۡتِیهِ عَذَابࣱ یُخۡزِیهِ وَیَحِلُّ عَلَیۡهِ عَذَابࣱ مُّقِیمٌ

کہ کس پر عذاب آتا ہےجو اسے رسوا کردے اورکس پردائمی عذاب اترتا ہے

To whom will come a torment disgracing him and on whom will descend an enduring punishment."

Mai yaateehi 'azaabuny yukhzeehi wa yahillu 'alaihi 'azaabum muqeem

إِنَّاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ لِلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَلِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا یَضِلُّ عَلَیۡهَاۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ عَلَیۡهِم بِوَكِیلٍ

بے شک ہم نے آپ پر یہ کتاب سچی لوگو ں کے لیے اتاری ہے پھر جو راہ پر آیا سو اپنے لیے اور جو گمراہ ہوا سو وہ گمراہ ہوتا ہے اپنے برے کو اور آپ ان کے ذمہ دار نہیں ہیں

Indeed, We sent down to you the Book for the people in truth. So whoever is guided - it is for [the benefit of] his soul; and whoever goes astray only goes astray to its detriment. And you are not a manager over them.

Innaa anzalnaa 'alaikal Kitaaba linnaasi bilhaqq; famanih tadaa falinafsihee wa man dalla fa innamaa yadillu 'alaihaa wa maaa anta 'alaihim biwakeel

ٱللَّهُ یَتَوَفَّى ٱلۡأَنفُسَ حِینَ مَوۡتِهَا وَٱلَّتِی لَمۡ تَمُتۡ فِی مَنَامِهَاۖ فَیُمۡسِكُ ٱلَّتِی قَضَىٰ عَلَیۡهَا ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَیُرۡسِلُ ٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰۤ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَـَٔایَـٰتࣲ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یَتَفَكَّرُونَ

اللہ ہی جانوں کو ان کی موت کے وقت قبض کرتا ہے اور ان جانوں کو بھی جن کی موت ان کے سونے کے وقت نہیں آئی پھر ان جانوں کو روک لیتا ہے جن پر موت کا حکم فرما چکا ہے اور باقی جانوں کو ایک میعاد معین تک بھیج دیتا ہے بے شک اس میں ان لوگوں کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں جو غور کرتے ہیں

Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

Allaahu yatawaffal anfusa heena mawtihaa wallatee lam tamut fee manaamihaa fa yumsikul latee qadaa 'alaihal mawta wa yursilul ukhraaa ilaaa ajalim musammaa; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawmai yatafakkarron

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُفَعَاۤءَۚ قُلۡ أَوَلَوۡ كَانُوا۟ لَا یَمۡلِكُونَ شَیۡـࣰٔا وَلَا یَعۡقِلُونَ

کیا انہوں نے الله کےسوا اور حمایتی بنا رکھے ہیں کہہ دوکیا اگرچہ وہ کچھ بھی اختیار نہ رکھتے ہوں اور نہ عقل رکھتے ہوں

Or have they taken other than Allah as intercessors? Say, "Even though they do not possess [power over] anything, nor do they reason?"

Amit takhazoo min doonillaahi shufa'aaa'; qul awalaw kaanoo laa yamlikoona shai'aw wa laa ya'qiloon

قُل لِّلَّهِ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةُ جَمِیعࣰاۖ لَّهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ ثُمَّ إِلَیۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ

کہہ دو ہر طرح کی حمایت الله ہی کے اختیار میں ہے آسمانوں اور زمین میں اسی کی حکومت ہے پھر اسی کی طرف تم لوٹائے جاؤ گے

Say, "To Allah belongs [the right to allow] intercession entirely. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Then to Him you will be returned."

Qul lillaahish shafaa'atu jamee'aa; lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi summa ilaihi turj'oon

وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَحۡدَهُ ٱشۡمَأَزَّتۡ قُلُوبُ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ إِذَا هُمۡ یَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ

اور جب ایک الله کا ذکر کیا جاتا ہے تو لوگ آخرت پر یقین نہیں رکھتے ان کے دل نفرت کرتے ہیں اور جب اس کے سوا اوروں کا ذکر کیا جاتا ہے تو فوراً خوش ہو جاتے ہیں

And when Allah is mentioned alone, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion, but when those [worshipped] other than Him are mentioned, immediately they rejoice.

Wa izaa zukiral laahu wahdahush ma azzat quloobul lazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati wa izaa zukiral lazeena min dooniheee izaa hum yastabshiroon

قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ عَـٰلِمَ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ أَنتَ تَحۡكُمُ بَیۡنَ عِبَادِكَ فِی مَا كَانُوا۟ فِیهِ یَخۡتَلِفُونَ

کہہ دو اے الله آسمانوں اور زمین کے پیدا کرنے والے ہر چھپی او رکھلی بات کے جاننے والے تو ہی اپنے بندوں میں فیصلہ کرے گا اس بات میں جس میں وہ اختلاف کر رہے ہیں

Say, "O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, You will judge between your servants concerning that over which they used to differ."

Qulil laahumma faatiras samaawaati wal ardi 'Aalimal Ghaibi washshahaadati Anta tahkumu baina 'ibaadika fee maa kaanoo fee yakhtalifoon

وَلَوۡ أَنَّ لِلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِیعࣰا وَمِثۡلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفۡتَدَوۡا۟ بِهِۦ مِن سُوۤءِ ٱلۡعَذَابِ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۚ وَبَدَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ یَكُونُوا۟ یَحۡتَسِبُونَ

اور اگر ظالموں کے پاس جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سب ہو اور اسی قدر اس کے ساتھ اور بھی ہو تو قیامت کے بڑے عذاب کے معاوضہ میں دے کر چھوٹنا چاہیں گے اور اللہ کی طرف سے انہیں وہ پیش آئے گا کہ جس کا انہیں گمان بھی نہ تھا

And if those who did wrong had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby from the worst of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection. And there will appear to them from Allah that which they had not taken into account.

Wa law anna lillazeena zalamoo maa fil ardi jamee'anw wa mislahoo ma'ahoo laftadaw bihee min sooo'il azaabi Yawmal Qiyaamah; wa badaa lahum minal laahi maa lam yakkoonoo yahtasiboon

وَبَدَا لَهُمۡ سَیِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

اور برے کاموں کی برائی ان پر ظاہر ہو جائے گی اوران کو وہ عذاب کہ جس پر ہنسی کیا کرتے تھے پکڑ لے گا

And there will appear to them the evils they had earned, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

Wa badaa lahum saiyiaatu maa kasaboo wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

فَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ ضُرࣱّ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلۡنَـٰهُ نِعۡمَةࣰ مِّنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَاۤ أُوتِیتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمِۭۚ بَلۡ هِیَ فِتۡنَةࣱ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ

پھر جب آدمی پر کوئی مصیبت آتی ہے تو ہمیں پکارتا ہے پھر جب ہم اسے اپنی نعمت عطا کرتے ہیں تو کہتا ہے یہ تومجھے میری عقل سے ملی ہے بلکہ یہ نعمت آزمائش ہے ولیکن ان میں سے اکثر نہیں جانتے

And when adversity touches man, he calls upon Us; then when We bestow on him a favor from Us, he says, "I have only been given it because of [my] knowledge." Rather, it is a trial, but most of them do not know.

Fa izaa massal insaana durrun da'aanaa summa izaa khawwalnaahu ni'matam minna qaala innamaaa ootee tuhoo 'alaa 'ilm; bal hiya fitna tunw wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

قَدۡ قَالَهَا ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَمَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡسِبُونَ

بے شک یہی بات وہ لوگ کہہ چکے ہیں جو ان سے پہلے تھے پس ان کے نہ کام آیا جو کچھ وہ کماتے رہے

Those before them had already said it, but they were not availed by what they used to earn.

Qad qaalahul lazeena min qablihim famaaa aghnaa 'anhum maa kaanoo yaksiboon

فَأَصَابَهُمۡ سَیِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنۡ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ سَیُصِیبُهُمۡ سَیِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَمَا هُم بِمُعۡجِزِینَ

پھر ان پر ان کے اعمال کی برائی آ پڑی اور ان میں سے جو لوگ ظلم کر رہے ہیں عنقریب ان کو بھی برے نتائج ان برے عملوں کے پہنچیں گے اور وہ عاجز کرنے والے نہیں ہیں

And the evil consequences of what they earned struck them. And those who have wronged of these [people] will be afflicted by the evil consequences of what they earned; and they will not cause failure.

Fa asaabahum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo; wallazeena zalamoo min haaa'ulaaa'i sa yuzeebuhum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo wa maa hum bimu'jizeen

أَوَلَمۡ یَعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَبۡسُطُ ٱلرِّزۡقَ لِمَن یَشَاۤءُ وَیَقۡدِرُۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَـَٔایَـٰتࣲ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یُؤۡمِنُونَ

اور کیا انہیں معلوم نہیں کہ الله ہی روزی کشادہ کر تا ہے جس کی چاہے اور تنگ کرتا ہے بے شک اس میں ان لوگو ں کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں جو ایمان رکھتے ہیں

Do they not know that Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

Awalam ya'lamooo annal laaha yabsutur rizqa limai yashaaa'u wa yaqdir; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqamai yu'minoon

۞ قُلۡ یَـٰعِبَادِیَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَسۡرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِیعًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ

کہہ دو اے میرے بندو جنہوں نے اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کیا ہے الله کی رحمت سے مایوس نہ ہو بے شک الله سب گناہ بخش دے گا بے شک وہ بخشنے والا رحم والا ہے

Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

Qul yaa'ibaadiyal lazeena asrafoo 'alaaa anfusihim laa taqnatoo mirrahmatil laah; innal laaha yaghfiruz zunooba jamee'aa; innahoo Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem

وَأَنِیبُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمۡ وَأَسۡلِمُوا۟ لَهُۥ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن یَأۡتِیَكُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ

اور اپنے رب کی طرف رجوع کرو اور اس کا حکم مانو اس سے پہلے کہ تم پر عذاب آئے پھر تمہیں مدد بھی نہ مل سکے گی

And return [in repentance] to your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you; then you will not be helped.

Wa aneebooo ilaa Rabbikum wa aslimoo lahoo min qabli ai yaatiyakumul 'azaabu summ laa tunsaroon

وَٱتَّبِعُوۤا۟ أَحۡسَنَ مَاۤ أُنزِلَ إِلَیۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبۡلِ أَن یَأۡتِیَكُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ بَغۡتَةࣰ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَشۡعُرُونَ

اور ان اچھی باتوں کی پیروی کرو جو تمہارے رب کی طرف سے نازل کی گئی ہیں اس سے پہلے کہ تم پر ناگہاں عذاب آ جائے اور تمہیں خبر بھی نہ ہو

And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive,

Wattabi'ooo ahsana maaa unzila ilaikum mir Rabbikum min qabli aiyaatiyakumal 'azaabu baghtatanw wa antum laa tash'uroon

أَن تَقُولَ نَفۡسࣱ یَـٰحَسۡرَتَىٰ عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطتُ فِی جَنۢبِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ ٱلسَّـٰخِرِینَ

کہیں کوئی نفس کہنے لگے ہائے افسوس اس پر جو میں نے الله کے حق میں کوتاہی کی اور میں تو ہنسی ہی کرتا رہ گیا

Lest a soul should say, "Oh [how great is] my regret over what I neglected in regard to Allah and that I was among the mockers."

An taqoola nafsuny yaahasrataa 'alaa maa farrattu fee jambil laahi wa in kuntu laminas saakhireen

أَوۡ تَقُولَ لَوۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هَدَىٰنِی لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ

یا کہنے لگے اگر الله مجھے ہدایت کرتا تو میں پرہیزگاروں میں ہوتا

Or [lest] it say, "If only Allah had guided me, I would have been among the righteous."

Aw taqoola law annal laaha hadaanee lakuntu minal muttaqeen

أَوۡ تَقُولَ حِینَ تَرَى ٱلۡعَذَابَ لَوۡ أَنَّ لِی كَرَّةࣰ فَأَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ

یا کہنے لگے جس وقت عذاب کو دیکھے گا کہ کاش مجھے میسر ہو واپس لوٹنا تو میں نیکو کاروں میں سے ہوجاؤں

Or [lest] it say when it sees the punishment, "If only I had another turn so I could be among the doers of good."

Aw taqoola heena taral 'azaaba law anna lee karratan fa akoona minal muhsineen

بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَاۤءَتۡكَ ءَایَـٰتِی فَكَذَّبۡتَ بِهَا وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتَ وَكُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ

ہاں تیرے پاس میری آیتیں آ چکی تھیں سو تو نے انہیں جھٹلایا اور تو نے تکبر کیا اور تو منکروں میں سے تھا

But yes, there had come to you My verses, but you denied them and were arrogant, and you were among the disbelievers.

Balaa qad jaaa'atka Asyaatee fakazzabta bihaa wastak barta wa kunta minal kaafireen

وَیَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ تَرَى ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُم مُّسۡوَدَّةٌۚ أَلَیۡسَ فِی جَهَنَّمَ مَثۡوࣰى لِّلۡمُتَكَبِّرِینَ

اور قیامت کے دن آپ ان لوگوں کو دیکھیں گے جو الله پر جھوٹے الزام لگاتے ہیں کہ ان کے منہ سیاہ ہوں گے کیا دوزخ میں تکبر کرنے والوں کا ٹھکانہ نہیں ہے

And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about Allah [with] their faces blackened. Is there not in Hell a residence for the arrogant?

Wa Yawmal Qiyaamati taral lazeena kazaboo 'alallaahi wujoohuhum muswaddah; alaisa fee Hahannama maswal lilmutakabbireen

وَیُنَجِّی ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّقَوۡا۟ بِمَفَازَتِهِمۡ لَا یَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلسُّوۤءُ وَلَا هُمۡ یَحۡزَنُونَ

اور الله ان لوگوں کو کامیابی کے ساتھ نجات دے گا جو (شرک و کفر سے) بچتےتھے انہیں تکلیف نہیں پہنچے گی اور نہ وہ غمگین ہوں گے

And Allah will save those who feared Him by their attainment; no evil will touch them, nor will they grieve.

Wa yunajjil laahul lazee nat taqaw bimafaazatihim laa yamassuhumus sooo'u wa laa hum uahzanoon

ٱللَّهُ خَـٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَكِیلࣱ

الله ہی ہر چیز کا پیدا کرنے والا ہے اور وہی ہر چیز کا نگہبان ہے

Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs.

Allaahu khaaliqu kulli shai'inw wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'inw Wakeel

لَّهُۥ مَقَالِیدُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرُونَ

آسمانوں اور زمین کی کنجیاں اسی کے ہاتھ میں ہیں اور جو الله کی آیتوں کے منکر ہوئے وہی نقصان اٹھانے والے ہیں

To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. And they who disbelieve in the verses of Allah - it is those who are the losers.

Lahoo maqaaleedus sa maawaati wal ard; wallazeena kafaroo bi ayaatil laahi ulaaa'ika humul khaasiroon

قُلۡ أَفَغَیۡرَ ٱللَّهِ تَأۡمُرُوۤنِّیۤ أَعۡبُدُ أَیُّهَا ٱلۡجَـٰهِلُونَ

کہہ دو اے جاہلو کیا مجھے الله کے سوا اور کی عبادت کرنے کا حکم دیتے ہو

Say, [O Muhammad], "Is it other than Allah that you order me to worship, O ignorant ones?"

Qul afaghairal laahi taamurooonneee a'budu ayyuhal jaahiloon

وَلَقَدۡ أُوحِیَ إِلَیۡكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِكَ لَىِٕنۡ أَشۡرَكۡتَ لَیَحۡبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرِینَ

اور بے شک آپ کی طرف اور ان کی طرف وحی کیا جا چکا ہے جو آپ سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں کہ اگرتم نے شرک کیا تو ضرور تمہارے عمل برباد ہو جائیں گے اور تم نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے ہو گے

And it was already revealed to you and to those before you that if you should associate [anything] with Allah, your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers."

Wa laqad oohiya ilaika wa ilal lazeena min qablika la in ashrakta la yahbatanna 'amalu ka wa latakoonanna minal khaasireen

بَلِ ٱللَّهَ فَٱعۡبُدۡ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلشَّـٰكِرِینَ

بلکہ الله ہی کی عبادت کرو اور جس کے شکر گزار رہو

Rather, worship [only] Allah and be among the grateful.

Balil laahha fa'bud wa kum minash shaakireen

وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ جَمِیعࣰا قَبۡضَتُهُۥ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ وَٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تُ مَطۡوِیَّـٰتُۢ بِیَمِینِهِۦۚ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا یُشۡرِكُونَ

اور انھوں نے الله کی قدر نہیں کی جیسا کہ اس کی قدر کرنے کا حق ہے اور یہ زمین قیامت کے دن سب اسی کی مٹھی میں ہو گی اور آسمان اس کے داہنے ہاتھ میں لپٹے ہوئےہوں گے وہ پاک اور برتر ہے اس سے جو وہ شریک ٹھیراتے ہیں

They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.

Wa maa qadarul laaha haqqa qadrihee wal ardu jamee 'an qabdatuhoo Yawmal Qiyaamit wassamaawaatu matwiyyaatum biyameenih; Subhaanahoo wa Ta'aalaa 'amma yushrikoon

وَنُفِخَ فِی ٱلصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَمَن فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا مَن شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُۖ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِیهِ أُخۡرَىٰ فَإِذَا هُمۡ قِیَامࣱ یَنظُرُونَ

اور صور پھونکا جائے گا تو بے ہوش ہو جاے گا جو کوئی آسمانوں اورجو کوئی زمین میں ہے مگر جسے الله چاہے پھر وہ دوسری دفعہ صور پھونکا جائے گا تو یکایک وہ کھڑے دیکھ رہے ہوں گے

And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on.

Wa nufikha fis Soori fas'iqa man fis samaawaati wa man fil ardi illaa man shaa'al lahu summa nufikha feehi ukhraa fa izaa hum qiyaamuny yanzuroon

وَأَشۡرَقَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبُ وَجِا۟یۤءَ بِٱلنَّبِیِّـۧنَ وَٱلشُّهَدَاۤءِ وَقُضِیَ بَیۡنَهُم بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَهُمۡ لَا یُظۡلَمُونَ

اور زمین اپنے رب کے نور سے چمک اٹھے گی اور کتاب رکھ دی جاوے گی اور نبی اور گواہ لائے جاویں گے اور ان میں انصاف سے فیصلہ کیا جاوے گا اور ان پر ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا

And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record [of deeds] will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought, and it will be judged between them in truth, and they will not be wronged.

Wa ashraqatil ardu binoori Rabbihaa wa wudi'al Kitaabu wa jeee'a bin nabiyyeena wash shuhadaaa'i wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa hum laa yuzlamoon

وَوُفِّیَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ مَّا عَمِلَتۡ وَهُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا یَفۡعَلُونَ

اورہر شخص کو جو کچھ اس نے کیا تھا پورا پورا بدلہ دیا جائے گا اور وہ خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ وہ کر رہے ہیں

And every soul will be fully compensated [for] what it did; and He is most knowing of what they do.

Wa wuffiyat kullu nafsim maa 'amilat wa Huwa a'lamubimaa yaf'aloon

وَسِیقَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًاۖ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءُوهَا فُتِحَتۡ أَبۡوَ ٰ⁠بُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَاۤ أَلَمۡ یَأۡتِكُمۡ رُسُلࣱ مِّنكُمۡ یَتۡلُونَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّكُمۡ وَیُنذِرُونَكُمۡ لِقَاۤءَ یَوۡمِكُمۡ هَـٰذَاۚ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَـٰكِنۡ حَقَّتۡ كَلِمَةُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ عَلَى ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ

اور جو کافر ہیں دوزخ کی طرف گروہ گروہ ہانکے جائیں گے یہاں تک کہ جب اسکے پاس آئیں گے تو اس کے دروازے کھول دیے جائیں گے اور ان سے اس کے داروغہ کہیں گے کیا تمہارے پاس تم ہی میں سے رسول نہیں آئےتھے جو تمہیں تمہارے رب کی آیتیں پڑھ کر سناتے تھے اور آج کے دن کےپیش آنے سے تمہیں ڈراتے تھے کہیں گے ہاں لیکن عذاب کا حکم (علم ازلی میں) منکرو ں پر ہو چکا تھا

And those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they reach it, its gates are opened and its keepers will say, "Did there not come to you messengers from yourselves, reciting to you the verses of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes, but the word of punishment has come into effect upon the disbelievers.

Wa seeqal lazeena kafaroon ilaa jahannama zumaran battaaa izaa jaaa'oohaa futihat abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaaa alam yaatikum Rusulum minkum yatloona 'alaikum Aayaati Rabbikum wa yunziroonakum liqaaa'a Yawmikum haazaa; qaaloo balaa wa laakin haqqat kalimatul 'azaabi 'alal kaafireen

قِیلَ ٱدۡخُلُوۤا۟ أَبۡوَ ٰ⁠بَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۖ فَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرِینَ

کہا جائے گا دوزخ کے دروازوں میں داخل ہو جاؤ اس میں سدا رہو گے پس وہ تکبر کرنے والوں کے لیے کیسا برا ٹھکانہ ہے

[To them] it will be said, "Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant."

Qeelad khuloo abwaaba jahannama khaalideena feeha fabi'sa maswal mutakabbireen

وَسِیقَ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّقَوۡا۟ رَبَّهُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡجَنَّةِ زُمَرًاۖ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءُوهَا وَفُتِحَتۡ أَبۡوَ ٰ⁠بُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَیۡكُمۡ طِبۡتُمۡ فَٱدۡخُلُوهَا خَـٰلِدِینَ

اور وہ لوگ جو اپنے رب سے ڈرتے رہے جنت کی طرف گرو ہ گروہ لے جانے جائیں گے یہاں تک کہ جب وہ اس کے پا پہنچ جائیں گے اور اس کے دروازے کھلے ہوئے ہوں گے اور ان سے اس کے داروغہ کہیں گے تم پر سلام ہو تم اچھے لوگ ہو اس میں ہمیشہ کے لیے داخل ہو جاؤ

But those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it while its gates have been opened and its keepers say, "Peace be upon you; you have become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein," [they will enter].

Wa seeqal lazeenat taqaw Rabbahum ilal Jannati zumaran hattaaa izaa jaaa'oohaa wa futihat abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaa salaamun 'alaikum tibtum fadkhuloohaa khaalideen

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِی صَدَقَنَا وَعۡدَهُۥ وَأَوۡرَثَنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ حَیۡثُ نَشَاۤءُۖ فَنِعۡمَ أَجۡرُ ٱلۡعَـٰمِلِینَ

اوروہ کہیں گے الله کا شکر ہے جس نے ہم سے اپنا وعدہ سچا کیا اور ہمیں اس زمین کا وارث کر دیا کہ ہم جنت میں جہاں چاہیں رہیں پھر کیا خوب بدلہ ہے عمل کرنے والوں کا

And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has fulfilled for us His promise and made us inherit the earth [so] we may settle in Paradise wherever we will. And excellent is the reward of [righteous] workers."

Wa waalull hamdulillaahil lazee sadaqanaa wa'dahoo wa awrasanal arda natabaw wa-u minal jannati haisu nashaaa'u fani'ma ajrul 'aamileen

وَتَرَى ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةَ حَاۤفِّینَ مِنۡ حَوۡلِ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ یُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّهِمۡۚ وَقُضِیَ بَیۡنَهُم بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ وَقِیلَ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ

اور آپ فرشتوں کو حلقہ باندھے ہوئے عرش کے گرد دیکھیں گے اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح پڑھ رہے ہیں اور درمیان انصاف سے فیصلہ کیا جائے گا اور سب کہیں گے سب تعریف الله ہی کے لیے ہے جو سارے جہانوں کا رب ہے

And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, exalting [Allah] with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them in truth, and it will be said, "[All] praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds."

Wa taral malaaa'ikata haaaffeena min hawlil 'Arshi yusabbihoona bihamdi Rabbihim wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa qeelal hamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen
