صۤۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ذِی ٱلذِّكۡرِ

قرآن کی قسم ہے جو سراسر نصیحت ہے

Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder...

Saaad; wal-Qur-aani ziz zikr

بَلِ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِی عِزَّةࣲ وَشِقَاقࣲ

بلکہ جو لوگ منکر ہیں وہ محض تکبر اور مخالفت میں پڑے ہیں

But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension.

Balil lazeena kafaroo fee 'izzatilnw wa shiqaaq

كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن قَرۡنࣲ فَنَادَوا۟ وَّلَاتَ حِینَ مَنَاصࣲ

ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی قومیں ہلاک کر دی ہیں سو انہوں نے بڑی ہائے پکار کی اور وہ وقت خلاصی کا نہ تھا

How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape.

Kam ahlaknaa min qablihim min qarnin fanaadaw wa laata heena manaas

وَعَجِبُوۤا۟ أَن جَاۤءَهُم مُّنذِرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡۖ وَقَالَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ هَـٰذَا سَـٰحِرࣱ كَذَّابٌ

اور انہوں نے تعجب کیا کہ ان کے پاس انہیں میں سے ڈرانے والا آیا اور منکروں نے کہا کہ یہ تو ایک بڑا جھوٹا جادوگر ہے

And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar.

Wa 'ajibooo an jaaa'a hum munzirum minhum wa qaalal kaafiroona haazaa saahirun kazzaab

أَجَعَلَ ٱلۡـَٔالِهَةَ إِلَـٰهࣰا وَ ٰ⁠حِدًاۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَیۡءٌ عُجَابࣱ

کیا اس نے کئی معبودوں کو صرف ایک معبود بنایا ہے بے شک یہ بڑی عجیب بات ہے

Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing."

Aja'alal aalihata Ilaahanw Waahidan inna haazaa lashai'un 'ujaab

وَٱنطَلَقَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِنۡهُمۡ أَنِ ٱمۡشُوا۟ وَٱصۡبِرُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ ءَالِهَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَیۡءࣱ یُرَادُ

اور ان میں سے سردار یہ کہتے ہوئے چل پڑے کہ چلو اور اپنے معبودوں پر جمے رہو بے شک اس میں کچھ غرض ہے

And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended.

Wantalaqal mala-u minhum anim shoo wasbiroo 'alaaa aalihatikum innna haazaa lashai 'uny yuraad

مَا سَمِعۡنَا بِهَـٰذَا فِی ٱلۡمِلَّةِ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا ٱخۡتِلَـٰقٌ

ہم نے یہ بات اپنے پچھلے دین میں نہیں سنی یہ تو ایک بنائی ہوئی بات ہے

We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication.

Maa sami'naa bihaazaa fil millatil aakhirati in haazaaa illakh tilaaq

أَءُنزِلَ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ مِنۢ بَیۡنِنَاۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِی شَكࣲّ مِّن ذِكۡرِیۚ بَل لَّمَّا یَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِ

کیا ہم میں سے اسی پر نصیحت اتاری گئی بلکہ انہیں تو میری نصیحت میں بھی شک ہے بلکہ انہوں نے میرا ابھی عذاب بھی نہیں چکھا

Has the message been revealed to him out of [all of] us?" Rather, they are in doubt about My message. Rather, they have not yet tasted My punishment.

'A-unzila 'alaihiz zikru mim baininaa; bal hum fee shakkim min Zikree bal lammaa yazooqoo 'azaab

أَمۡ عِندَهُمۡ خَزَاۤىِٕنُ رَحۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡوَهَّابِ

کیا ان کے پاس تیرے خدائے غالب فیاض کی رحمت کے خزانے ہیں

Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower?

Am'indahum khazaaa 'inu rahmati Rabbikal 'Azeezil Wahhab

أَمۡ لَهُم مُّلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۖ فَلۡیَرۡتَقُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَسۡبَـٰبِ

یا انہیں آسمانوں اور زمین کی حکومت اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے حاصل ہے تو سیڑھیاں لگا کر چڑھ جائیں

Or is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend through [any] ways of access.

Am lahum mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa falyartaqoo fil asbaab

جُندࣱ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهۡزُومࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ

وہاں ان کے لشکر شکست پائیں گے

[They are but] soldiers [who will be] defeated there among the companies [of disbelievers].

Jundum maa hunaalika mahzoomum minal Ahzaab

كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحࣲ وَعَادࣱ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ ذُو ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ

ان سے پہلے قوم نوح اور عاد اور میخوں والا فرعون

The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes,

Kazzabat qablahum qawmu Lootinw-wa 'Aadunw wa Fir'awnu zul awtaad

وَثَمُودُ وَقَوۡمُ لُوطࣲ وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ لۡـَٔیۡكَةِۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ

اور ثمود اور لوط کی قوم اور بن والے بھی جھٹلا چکے ہیں یہی وہ لشکر ہیں

And [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies.

Wa Samoodu wa qawmu Lootinw wa Ashaabul 'Aykah; ulaaa'ikal Ahzaab

إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ

ان سب نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا تھا پس میرا عذاب آ موجود ہوا

Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified.

In kullun illaa kazzabar Rusula fahaqqa 'iqaab

وَمَا یَنظُرُ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ إِلَّا صَیۡحَةࣰ وَ ٰ⁠حِدَةࣰ مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقࣲ

اور یہ ایک ہی چیخ کے منتظر ہیں جسے کچھ دیر نہیں لگے گی

And these [disbelievers] await not but one blast [of the Horn]; for it there will be no delay.

Wa maa yanzuru haaa ulaaa'i illaa saihatanw waahidatam maa lahaa min fawaaq

وَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبۡلَ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡحِسَابِ

اور کہتے ہیں اے رب ہمارے! ہمارا حصہ ہمیں حساب کے دن سے پہلے ہی دے دے

And they say, "Our Lord, hasten for us our share [of the punishment] before the Day of Account"

Wa qaaloo Rabbanaa 'ajjil lanaa qittanaa qabla Yawmil Hisaab

ٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا یَقُولُونَ وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلۡأَیۡدِۖ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابٌ

ان کی اِن باتوں پر صبر کر اور ہمارے بندے داؤد کو یاد کر جو بڑا طاقتور تھا بے شک وہ رجوع کرنے والا تھا

Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah].

Isbir 'alaa maa yaqooloona wazkur 'abdanaa Daawooda zal aidi aidi innahooo awwaab

إِنَّا سَخَّرۡنَا ٱلۡجِبَالَ مَعَهُۥ یُسَبِّحۡنَ بِٱلۡعَشِیِّ وَٱلۡإِشۡرَاقِ

بے شک ہم نے پہاڑوں کو اس کے تابع کر دیا تھا کہ وہ شام اور صبح کو تسبیح کرتے تھے

Indeed, We subjected the mountains [to praise] with him, exalting [Allah] in the [late] afternoon and [after] sunrise.

Innaa sakhkharnal jibaala ma'ahoo yusabbihna bil'ashaiyi wal ishraaq

وَٱلطَّیۡرَ مَحۡشُورَةࣰۖ كُلࣱّ لَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابࣱ

اور پرندوں کو بھی جو جمع ہوجاتے تھے ہر ایک اس کے تابع تھا

And the birds were assembled, all with him repeating [praises].

Wattayra mahshoorah; kullul lahooo awwaab

وَشَدَدۡنَا مُلۡكَهُۥ وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَفَصۡلَ ٱلۡخِطَابِ

اورہم نے اس کی سلطنت کو مضبوھ کر دیا تھا اور ہم نے اسے نبوت دی تھی اور مقدمات کے فیصلے کرنے کا سلیقہ (دیا تھا)

And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and discernment in speech.

Wa shadadnaa mulkahoo wa aatainaahul Hikmata wa faslal khitaab

۞ وَهَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلۡخَصۡمِ إِذۡ تَسَوَّرُوا۟ ٱلۡمِحۡرَابَ

اور کیا آپ کو دو جھگڑنے والوں کی خبر بھی پہنچی جب وہ عبادت خانہ کی دیوار پھاند کر آئے

And has there come to you the news of the adversaries, when they climbed over the wall of [his] prayer chamber -

Wa hal ataaka naba'ul khasm; iz tasawwarul mihraab

إِذۡ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ دَاوُۥدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنۡهُمۡۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفۡۖ خَصۡمَانِ بَغَىٰ بَعۡضُنَا عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ فَٱحۡكُم بَیۡنَنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تُشۡطِطۡ وَٱهۡدِنَاۤ إِلَىٰ سَوَاۤءِ ٱلصِّرَ ٰ⁠طِ

جب وہ داؤد کے پاس آئے تو وہ ان سے گھبرایا کہا ڈر نہیں دو جھگڑنے والے ہیں ایک نے دوسرے پر زیادتی کی ہے پس آپ ہمارے درمیا ن انصاف کا فیصلہ کیجیئے اور بات کو دور نہ ڈالیئے اور ہمیں سیدھی راہ پر چلائیے

When they entered upon David and he was alarmed by them? They said, "Fear not. [We are] two adversaries, one of whom has wronged the other, so judge between us with truth and do not exceed [it] and guide us to the sound path.

Iz dakhaloo 'alaa Daawooda fafazi'a minhum qaaloo la takhaf khasmaani baghaa ba'dunaa 'alaa ba'din fahkum bainanaaa bilhaqqi wa laa tushtit wahdinaaa ilaa Sawaaa'is Siraat

إِنَّ هَـٰذَاۤ أَخِی لَهُۥ تِسۡعࣱ وَتِسۡعُونَ نَعۡجَةࣰ وَلِیَ نَعۡجَةࣱ وَ ٰ⁠حِدَةࣱ فَقَالَ أَكۡفِلۡنِیهَا وَعَزَّنِی فِی ٱلۡخِطَابِ

بے شک یہ میرا بھائی ہے اس کے پاس ننانوے دنبیاں ہیں اور میرے پاس صرف ایک دنبی ہے پس اس نے کہا مجھے وہ بھی دے دے اور اس نے مجھے گفتگو میں دبا لیا ہے

Indeed this, my brother, has ninety-nine ewes, and I have one ewe; so he said, 'Entrust her to me,' and he overpowered me in speech."

Inna haazaaa akhee lahoo tis'unw wa tis'oona na'jatanw wa liya na'jatunw waahidah; faqaala akfilneeha wa 'azzanee filkhitaab

قَالَ لَقَدۡ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعۡجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِۦۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِیرࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡخُلَطَاۤءِ لَیَبۡغِی بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَقَلِیلࣱ مَّا هُمۡۗ وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّـٰهُ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعࣰا وَأَنَابَ ۩

کہا البتہ اس نے تجھ پر ظلم کیا جو تیری دنبی کو اپنی دنبیوں میں ملانے کا سوال کیا گور اکثر شریک ایک دوسرے پر زیادتی کیا کرتے ہیں مگر جو ایماندار ہیں اور انہوں نے نیک کام بھی کیے اور وہ بہت ہی کم ہیں اور داؤد سمجھ گیا کہ ہم نے اسے آزمایا ہے پھر اس نے اپنے رب سے معافی مانگی اور سجدہ میں گر پڑا اور توبہ کی

[David] said, "He has certainly wronged you in demanding your ewe [in addition] to his ewes. And indeed, many associates oppress one another, except for those who believe and do righteous deeds - and few are they." And David became certain that We had tried him, and he asked forgiveness of his Lord and fell down bowing [in prostration] and turned in repentance [to Allah].

Qaala laqad zalamaka bisu 'aali na'jatika ilaa ni'aajihee wa inna kaseeram minal khulataaa'i la-yabghee ba'duhum 'alaa ba'din illal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati wa qaleehum maa hum; wa zanna Daawoodu annamaa fatannaahu fastaghrara Rabbahoo wa kharra raaki'anw wa anaab

فَغَفَرۡنَا لَهُۥ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابࣲ

پھر ہم نے اس کی یہ غلطی معاف کر دی اور اس کے لیے ہمارے ہاں مرتبہ اور اچھا ٹھکانہ ہے

So We forgave him that; and indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return.

Faghafarnaa lahoo zaalik; wa inna lahoo 'indanaa lazulfaa wa husna ma aab

یَـٰدَاوُۥدُ إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَـٰكَ خَلِیفَةࣰ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱحۡكُم بَیۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ فَیُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدُۢ بِمَا نَسُوا۟ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡحِسَابِ

اے داؤد! ہم نے تجھے زمین میں بادشاہ بنایا ہے پس تم لوگو ں میں انصاف سے فیصلہ کیا کرو اور نفس کی خواہش کی پیروی نہ کرو کہ وہ تمہیں الله کی راہ سے ہٹا دے گی بے شک جو الله کی راہ سے گمراہ ہوتے ہیں ان کے لیے سخت عذاب ہے اس لیے کہ وہ حساب کے دن کوبھول گئے

[We said], "O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah." Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account.

Yaa Daawoodu innaa ja'alnaaka khaleefatan fil ardi fahkum bainan naasi bilhaqqi wa laa tattabi'il hawaa fayudillaka 'an sabeelil laah; innal lazeena yadilloona 'an sabeelil laah; lahum 'azaabun shadeedum bimaa nasoo Yawmal Hisaab

وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا بَـٰطِلࣰاۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ۚ فَوَیۡلࣱ لِّلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

اور ہم نے آسمان اور زمین کو اور جو کچھ ان کے بیچ میں ہے بیکار تو پیدا نہیں کیا یہ تو ان کا خیال ہے جو کافر ہیں پھرکافروں کے لیے ہلاکت ہے جو آگ ہے

And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire.

Wa ma khalaqnas samaaa'a wal arda wa maa bainahumaa baatilaa; zaalika zannul lazeena kafaroo; fawi lul lillazeena kafaroo minan Naar

أَمۡ نَجۡعَلُ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ كَٱلۡمُفۡسِدِینَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ نَجۡعَلُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ كَٱلۡفُجَّارِ

کیا ہم کردیں گے ان کو جو ایمان لائے اور نیک کام کیے ان کی طرح جو زمین میں فساد کرتے ہیں یا ہم پرہیز گاروں کو بدکاروں کی طرح کر دیں گے

Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked?

Am naj'alul lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati kalmufisdeena fil ardi am naj'alul muttaqeena kalfujjaar

كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ إِلَیۡكَ مُبَـٰرَكࣱ لِّیَدَّبَّرُوۤا۟ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ وَلِیَتَذَكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ

ایک کتاب ہے جو ہم نے آپ کی طرف نازل کی بڑی برکت والی تاکہ وہ اس کی آیتوں میں غور کریں اور تاکہ عقلمند نصحیت حاصل کریں

[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.

Kitaabun anzalnaahu ilaika mubaarakul liyaddabbarooo Aayaatihee wa liyatazakkara ulul albaab

وَوَهَبۡنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنَۚ نِعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابٌ

اور ہم نے داؤد کو سلیمان عطا کیا کیسا اچھا بندہ تھا بےشک وہ رجوع کرنے والا تھا

And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah].

Wa wahabnaa li Daawooda Sulaimaan; ni'mal 'abd; innahoo awwaab

إِذۡ عُرِضَ عَلَیۡهِ بِٱلۡعَشِیِّ ٱلصَّـٰفِنَـٰتُ ٱلۡجِیَادُ

جب اس کے سامنے شام کے وقت تیز رو گھوڑے حاضر کیے گئے

[Mention] when there were exhibited before him in the afternoon the poised [standing] racehorses.

Iz 'urida 'alaihi bil'ashiy yis saafinaatul jiyaad

فَقَالَ إِنِّیۤ أَحۡبَبۡتُ حُبَّ ٱلۡخَیۡرِ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّی حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتۡ بِٱلۡحِجَابِ

تو کہا میں نے مال کی محبت کو یاد الہیٰ سے عزیز سمجھا یہاں تک کہ آفتاب غروب ہو گیا

And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]."

Faqaala inneee ahbabtu hubbal khairi 'an zikri Rabbee hattaa tawaarat bilhijaab

رُدُّوهَا عَلَیَّۖ فَطَفِقَ مَسۡحَۢا بِٱلسُّوقِ وَٱلۡأَعۡنَاقِ

ان کو میرے پاس لوٹا لاؤ پس پنڈلیوں اور گردنوں پر (تلوار) پھیرنے لگا

[He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks.

Ruddoohaa 'alaiya fatafiqa masham bissooqi wal a'naaq

وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ وَأَلۡقَیۡنَا عَلَىٰ كُرۡسِیِّهِۦ جَسَدࣰا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ

اور ہم نے سلیمان کو آزمایا تھا اور اس کی کرسی پر ایک دھڑ ڈال دیا تھا پھر وہ رجوع ہوا

And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned.

Wa laqad fatannaa Sulaimaana wa alqainaa 'alaa kursiyyihee jasadan summa anaab

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ لِی وَهَبۡ لِی مُلۡكࣰا لَّا یَنۢبَغِی لِأَحَدࣲ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِیۤۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡوَهَّابُ

کہا اے میرے رب! مجھے معاف کر اور مجھے ایسی حکومت عنایت فرما کہ کسی کو میرے بعد شایاں نہ ہو بے شک تو بہت بڑا عنایت کرنے والا ہے

He said, "My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower."

Qaala Rabbigh fir lee wa hab lee mulkal laa yambaghee li ahadim mim ba'de inaka Antal Wahhab

فَسَخَّرۡنَا لَهُ ٱلرِّیحَ تَجۡرِی بِأَمۡرِهِۦ رُخَاۤءً حَیۡثُ أَصَابَ

پھر ہم نے ہوا کو اس کے تابع کر دیا کہ وہ اس کے حکم سے بڑی نرمی سے چلتی تھی جہاں اسے پہنچنا ہوتا تھا

So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed,

Fasakhkharnaa lahur reeha tajree bi amrihee rukhaaa'an haisu asaab

وَٱلشَّیَـٰطِینَ كُلَّ بَنَّاۤءࣲ وَغَوَّاصࣲ

اور شیطان کو جو سب معمار اور غوطہ زن تھے

And [also] the devils [of jinn] - every builder and diver

Wash Shayaateena kulla bannaaa'inw wa ghawwaas

وَءَاخَرِینَ مُقَرَّنِینَ فِی ٱلۡأَصۡفَادِ

اور دوسروں کو جو زنجیروں میں جکڑے ہوئے تھے

And others bound together in shackles.

Wa aakhareena muqarraneena fil asfaad

هَـٰذَا عَطَاۤؤُنَا فَٱمۡنُنۡ أَوۡ أَمۡسِكۡ بِغَیۡرِ حِسَابࣲ

یہ ہماری بخشش ہے پس احسان کر یا اپنے پاس رکھ کوئی حساب نہیں

[We said], "This is Our gift, so grant or withhold without account."

Haazaa 'ataaa'unaa famnun aw amsik bighairi hisaab

وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابࣲ

اور البتہ (سلیمان) کے لیے ہمارے پاس مرتبہ اورعمدہ مقام ہے

And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return.

Wa inna lahoo 'indanaa lazulfaa wa husna ma-aab

وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَاۤ أَیُّوبَ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥۤ أَنِّی مَسَّنِیَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ بِنُصۡبࣲ وَعَذَابٍ

اور ہمارے بندے ایوب کو یاد کر جب اس نے اپنے رب کو پکارا کہ مجھے شیطان نے تکلیف اور عذاب پہنچایا ہے

And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment."

Wazkur 'abdanaaa Ayyoob; iz naada Rabbahooo annee massaniyash Shaitaanu binus binw wa 'azaab

ٱرۡكُضۡ بِرِجۡلِكَۖ هَـٰذَا مُغۡتَسَلُۢ بَارِدࣱ وَشَرَابࣱ

اپنا پاؤں (زمین پر مار) یہ ٹھنڈا چشمہ نہانے اور پینے کو ہے

[So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink."

Urkud birijlika haaza mughtasalum baaridunw wa sharaab

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥۤ أَهۡلَهُۥ وَمِثۡلَهُم مَّعَهُمۡ رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنَّا وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِی ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ

اور ہم نے ان کو ان کے اہل و عیال اور کتنے ہی اور بھی اپنی مہربانی سے عنایت فرمائے اور عقلمندوں کے لیے نصیحت ہے

And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding.

Wa wahabnaa lahoo ahlahoo wa mislahum ma'ahum rahmatam minna wa zikraa li ulil albaab

وَخُذۡ بِیَدِكَ ضِغۡثࣰا فَٱضۡرِب بِّهِۦ وَلَا تَحۡنَثۡۗ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَـٰهُ صَابِرࣰاۚ نِّعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابࣱ

اور اپنے ہاتھ میں جھاڑو کا مٹھا لے کر مارے اور قسم نہ توڑ بے شک ہم نے ایوب کو صابر پایا وہ بڑے اچھے بندے الله کی طرف رجوع کرنے والے تھے

[We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah].

Wa khuz biyadika dighsan fadrib bihee wa laa tahnas, innaa wajadnaahu saabiraa; ni'mal 'abd; innahooo awwaab

وَٱذۡكُرۡ عِبَـٰدَنَاۤ إِبۡرَ ٰ⁠هِیمَ وَإِسۡحَـٰقَ وَیَعۡقُوبَ أُو۟لِی ٱلۡأَیۡدِی وَٱلۡأَبۡصَـٰرِ

اور ہمارے بندوں ابراھیم اور اسحاق اور یعقوب کو یاد کر جو ہاتھو ں اور آنکھوں والے تھے

And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision.

Wazkur 'ibaadanaaa Ibraaheema wa Is-haaqa wa Ya'qooba ulil-aydee walabsaar

إِنَّاۤ أَخۡلَصۡنَـٰهُم بِخَالِصَةࣲ ذِكۡرَى ٱلدَّارِ

بے شک ہم نے انہیں ایک خاص فضیلت دی یعنی ذکر آخرت کے لیے چن لیا تھا

Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter].

Innaaa akhlasnaahum bi khaalisatin zikrad daar

وَإِنَّهُمۡ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُصۡطَفَیۡنَ ٱلۡأَخۡیَارِ

اور بے شک وہ ہمارے نزدیک برگزیدہ بندوں میں سے تھے

And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding.

Wa innahum 'indanaa laminal mustafainal akhyaar

وَٱذۡكُرۡ إِسۡمَـٰعِیلَ وَٱلۡیَسَعَ وَذَا ٱلۡكِفۡلِۖ وَكُلࣱّ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَخۡیَارِ

اور اسماعیل اور الیسع اور ذوالکفل کو بھی یاد کر اور یہ سب نیک لوگو ں میں سے تھے

And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding.

Wazkur Ismaa'eela wal Yasa'a wa Zal-Kifli wa kullum minal akhyaar

هَـٰذَا ذِكۡرࣱۚ وَإِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ لَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابࣲ

یہ نصیحت ہے اور بے شک پرہیز گاروں کے لئے اچھا ٹھکانا ہے

This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return

Haazaa zikr; wa inna lilmuttaqeena lahusna ma aab

جَنَّـٰتِ عَدۡنࣲ مُّفَتَّحَةࣰ لَّهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡوَ ٰ⁠بُ

ہمیشہ رہنے کے باغ ہیں ان کے لئے ان کے دروازے کھولے جائیں گے

Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them.

Jannaati 'adnim mufat tahatal lahumul abwaab

مُتَّكِـِٔینَ فِیهَا یَدۡعُونَ فِیهَا بِفَـٰكِهَةࣲ كَثِیرَةࣲ وَشَرَابࣲ

وہاں تکیہ لگا کر بیٹھیں گے وہاں بہت سے میوے اور شراب طلب کریں گے

Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink.

Muttaki'eena feehaa yad'oona feehaa bifaakihatin kaseeratinw wa sharaab

۞ وَعِندَهُمۡ قَـٰصِرَ ٰ⁠تُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ أَتۡرَابٌ

اور ان کے پاس نیچی نگاہ والی ہم عمر عورتیں ہوں گی

And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age.

Wa 'indahum qaasiraatut tarfi atraab

هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِیَوۡمِ ٱلۡحِسَابِ

یہی ہے جس کا تم سے حساب کے دن کے لیے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہے

This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account.

Haaza maa too'odoona li Yawmil Hisaab

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَرِزۡقُنَا مَا لَهُۥ مِن نَّفَادٍ

بے شک یہ ہمارا رزق ہے جو کبھی ختم نہیں ہوگا

Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion.

Inna haazaa larizqunaa maa lahoo min nafaad

هَـٰذَاۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّـٰغِینَ لَشَرَّ مَـَٔابࣲ

یہی بات ہے اور بے شک سرکشوں کے لیے برا ٹھکانا ہے

This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return -

Haazaa; wa inna littaagheena lasharra ma-aab

جَهَنَّمَ یَصۡلَوۡنَهَا فَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ

یعنی دوزخ جس میں وہ گریں گے پس وہ کیسی بری جگہ ہے

Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place.

Jahannama yaslawnahaa fai'sal mihaad

هَـٰذَا فَلۡیَذُوقُوهُ حَمِیمࣱ وَغَسَّاقࣱ

یہ ہے پھر وہ اس کو چکھیں جو کھولتا ہوا پانی اور پیپ ہے

This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence.

Haazaa falyazooqoohu hameemunw wa ghassaaq

وَءَاخَرُ مِن شَكۡلِهِۦۤ أَزۡوَ ٰ⁠جٌ

اور اس کی شکل اور بھی کئی طرح کی چیزیں ہوں گی

And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds.

Wa aakharu min shak liheee azwaaj

هَـٰذَا فَوۡجࣱ مُّقۡتَحِمࣱ مَّعَكُمۡ لَا مَرۡحَبَۢا بِهِمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ صَالُوا۟ ٱلنَّارِ

یہ ایک جماعت ہے جو تمہارے ساتھ دوزخ میں داخل ہونے والی ہے (متبوع کہیں گے) ان پر خدا کی مار یہ بھی دوزخ ہی میں آ رہے ہیں

[Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire."

Haazaa fawjum muqtahimum ma'akum laa marhabam bihim; innahum saalun Naar

قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ لَا مَرۡحَبَۢا بِكُمۡۖ أَنتُمۡ قَدَّمۡتُمُوهُ لَنَاۖ فَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡقَرَارُ

(تابع ہونے والے) کہیں گے بلکہ تم پر خدا کی مار تم ہی تو اس بلا کو ہمارے سامنے لائے جو بہت ہی برا ٹھکانا ہے

They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement."

Qaaloo bal antum laa marhabam bikum; antum qaddamtumoohu lanaa fabi'sal qaraar

قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا فَزِدۡهُ عَذَابࣰا ضِعۡفࣰا فِی ٱلنَّارِ

تابع کہیں گے اے ہمارے رب! جو اس بلا کو آگے لایا اسے آگ میں دگنا عذاب دے

They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire."

Qaaloo Rabbanaa man qaddama lanaa haaza fazidhu 'azaaban di'fan fin Naar

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالࣰا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَشۡرَارِ

اور کہیں گے کہ جن لوگوں کو ہم دنیا میں برا سمجھتے تھے ہمیں دکھائی کیوں نہیں دیتے

And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst?

Wa qaaloo ma lanaa laa naraa rijaalan kunnaa na'udduhum minal ashraar

أَتَّخَذۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِخۡرِیًّا أَمۡ زَاغَتۡ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَـٰرُ

کیا ہم ان سے (ناحق) تمسخر کرتے تھے یا ان سے ہماری نگاہیں پھر گئی ہیں

Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?"

Attakhaznaahum sikh riyyan am zaaghat 'anhumul absaar

إِنَّ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَحَقࣱّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهۡلِ ٱلنَّارِ

بے شک یہ دوزخیوں کا آپس میں جھگڑنا بالکل سچی بات ہے

Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire.

Inna zaalika lahaqqun takhaasumu Ahlin Naar

قُلۡ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرࣱۖ وَمَا مِنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡوَ ٰ⁠حِدُ ٱلۡقَهَّارُ

کہہ دو میں تو ایک ڈرانے والا ہوں اور الله کے سوا کوئی اور معبود نہیں ہے ایک ہے بڑا غالب

Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing.

Qul innamaaa ana munzirunw wa maa min ilaahim illal laahul Waahidul Qahhaar

رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرُ

آسمانوں اور زمین کا پرودگار اورجو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے غالب بڑا معاف کرنے والا ہے

Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver."

Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumal 'Azeezul Ghaffaar

قُلۡ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظِیمٌ

کہہ دو یہ ایک بڑی خبر ہے

Say, "It is great news

Qul huwa naba'un 'azeem

أَنتُمۡ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضُونَ

تم اس سے منہ پھیرنے والے ہو

From which you turn away.

Antum 'anhu mu'ridoon

مَا كَانَ لِیَ مِنۡ عِلۡمِۭ بِٱلۡمَلَإِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰۤ إِذۡ یَخۡتَصِمُونَ

مجھے فرشتو ں کے متعلق کوئی علم نہیں تھا جب کہ وہ جھگڑ رہے تھے

I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam].

Maa kaana liya min 'ilmim bilmala il a'laaa iz yakhtasimoon

إِن یُوحَىٰۤ إِلَیَّ إِلَّاۤ أَنَّمَاۤ أَنَا۠ نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینٌ

مجھے تو یہی وحی کیا گیا ہے کہ میں تمہیں صاف صاف ڈراؤں

It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner."

Iny-yoohaaa ilaiya illaaa annnamaaa ana nazeerum mubeen

إِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِنِّی خَـٰلِقُۢ بَشَرࣰا مِّن طِینࣲ

جب تیرے رب نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ میں ایک انسان مٹی سے بنانے والا ہوں

[So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay.

Iz qaala Rabbuka lilmalaaa'ikati innee khaaliqum basharam min teen

فَإِذَا سَوَّیۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِی فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِینَ

پھرجب میں اسے پورے طور پر بنا لوں اور اس میں اپنی رو ح پھونک دوں تو اس کے لیے سجدہ میں گر پڑنا

So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."

Fa-iza sawwaituhoo wa nafakhtu feehi mir roohee faqa'oo lahoo saajideen

فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ

پھر سب کے سب فرشتوں نے سجدہ کیا

So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely.

Fasajadal malaaa'ikatu kulluhum ajma'oon

إِلَّاۤ إِبۡلِیسَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ

مگر ابلیس نے نہ کیا تکبر کیا اور کافروں میں سے ہو گیا

Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers.

Illaaa Iblees; istakbara wa kaana minal kaafireen

قَالَ یَـٰۤإِبۡلِیسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسۡجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقۡتُ بِیَدَیَّۖ أَسۡتَكۡبَرۡتَ أَمۡ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَالِینَ

فرمایا اے ابلیس! تمہیں اس کےے سجدہ کرنے سے کس نے منع کیا جسے میں نے اپنے ہاتھوں سے بنایا کیا تو نے تکبر کیا یا تو بڑوں میں سے تھا

[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"

Qaala yaaa Ibleesu maa man'aka an tasjuda limaa khalaqtu biyadai; astakbarta am kunta min 'aaleen

قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَیۡرࣱ مِّنۡهُ خَلَقۡتَنِی مِن نَّارࣲ وَخَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن طِینࣲ

اس نے عرض کی میں اس سے بہتر ہوں مجھے تو نے آگ سے بنایااور اسے مٹی سے بنایا

He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."

Qaala ana khairum minah; khalaqtanee min naarinw wa khalaqtahoo min teen

قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِیمࣱ

فرمایا پھر تو یہاں سے نکل جاکیوں نکہ تو راندہ گیا ہے

[Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled.

Qaala fakhruj minhaa fainnaka rajeem

وَإِنَّ عَلَیۡكَ لَعۡنَتِیۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلدِّینِ

اور تجھ پر قیامت تک میری لعنت ہے

And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense."

Wa inna 'alaika la'nateee ilaa Yawmid Deen

قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِیۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ یُبۡعَثُونَ

عرض کی اے میرے رب! پھر مجھے مردوں کے زندہ ہونے تک مہلت دے

He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."

Qaala Rabbi fa anzirneee ilaa Yawmi yub'asoon

قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِینَ

فرمایا پس تمہیں مہلت ہے

[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved

Qaala fa innaka minal munzareen

إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ

وقت معین کے دن تک

Until the Day of the time well-known."

Ilaa Yawmil waqtil ma'loom

قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغۡوِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ

عرض کی تیری عز ت کی قسم! میں ان سب کو گمراہ کر دوں گا

[Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all

Qaala fabi'izzatika la ughwiyannahum ajma'een

إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِینَ

مگر ان میں جو تیرے خالص بندے ہوں گے

Except, among them, Your chosen servants."

Illaa 'ibaadaka minhumul mukhlaseen

قَالَ فَٱلۡحَقُّ وَٱلۡحَقَّ أَقُولُ

فرمایا حق بات یہ ہے اور میں حق ہی کہا کرتا ہوں

[Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say -

Qaala falhaqq, walhaqqa aqool

لَأَمۡلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكَ وَمِمَّن تَبِعَكَ مِنۡهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ

میں تجھ سے اوران میں سے جو تیرے تابع ہوں گے سب سے جہنم بھر دوں گا

[That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together."

La amla'annna Jahannama minka wa mimman tabi'aka minhum ajma'een

قُلۡ مَاۤ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرࣲ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَكَلِّفِینَ

کہہ دو میں اس پر تم سے کوئی مزدوری نہیں مانگتا اور نہ میں تکلف کرنے والوں میں ہوں

Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious

Qul maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrinw wa maaa ana minal mutakallifeen

إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ

یہ قرآن تو تمام جہان کے لیے نصیحت ہے

It is but a reminder to the worlds.

In huwa illaa zikrul lil'aalameen

وَلَتَعۡلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُۥ بَعۡدَ حِینِۭ

اور تم کچھ مدت کے بعد اس کا حال ضرور جان لوگے

And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time."

Wa lata'lamunna naba ahoo ba'da heen
