Surah Talaq with Urdu & English Translation and Audio - سورۃ الطلاق

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّبِیُّ إِذَا طَلَّقۡتُمُ ٱلنِّسَاۤءَ فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ وَأَحۡصُوا۟ ٱلۡعِدَّةَۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمۡۖ لَا تُخۡرِجُوهُنَّ مِنۢ بُیُوتِهِنَّ وَلَا یَخۡرُجۡنَ إِلَّاۤ أَن یَأۡتِینَ بِفَـٰحِشَةࣲ مُّبَیِّنَةࣲۚ وَتِلۡكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَن یَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ ٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ ظَلَمَ نَفۡسَهُۥۚ لَا تَدۡرِی لَعَلَّ ٱللَّهَ یُحۡدِثُ بَعۡدَ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ أَمۡرࣰا

اے نبی جب تم عورتوں کو طلاق دو تو ان کی عدت کے موقع پر طلاق دو اور عدت گنتے رہو اور الله سے ڈرتے رہو جو تمہارا رب ہے نہ تم ہی ان کو ان کے گھروں سے نکالو اور نہ وہ خود ہی نکلیں مگر جب کھلم کھلا کوئی بے حیائی کا کام کریں اور یہ الله کی حدیں ہیں اور جو الله کی حدوں سے بڑھاا تو اس نے اپنے نفس پر ظلم کیا آپ کو کیا معلوم کہ شاید الله اس کے بعد اور کوئی نئی بات پیدا کر دے

O Prophet, when you [Muslims] divorce women, divorce them for [the commencement of] their waiting period and keep count of the waiting period, and fear Allah, your Lord. Do not turn them out of their [husbands'] houses, nor should they [themselves] leave [during that period] unless they are committing a clear immorality. And those are the limits [set by] Allah. And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah has certainly wronged himself. You know not; perhaps Allah will bring about after that a [different] matter.

Yaaa ayyuhan nabiyyu izaa tallaqtummun nisaaa'a fatalliqoohunna li'iddatihinna wa ahsul'iddata; wattaqul laaha rabbakum laa tukhri joohunna mim bu-yootihinna wa laa yakhrujna illaaa any yaateema bifaahishatim mubaiyinah; wa tilka hudoodul laah; wa many yata'adda hudoodal laahi faqad zalama nafsha; laa tadree la'allal laaha yuhdisu ba'dazaalika amraa

فَإِذَا بَلَغۡنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمۡسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعۡرُوفٍ أَوۡ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعۡرُوفࣲ وَأَشۡهِدُوا۟ ذَوَیۡ عَدۡلࣲ مِّنكُمۡ وَأَقِیمُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَـٰدَةَ لِلَّهِۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكُمۡ یُوعَظُ بِهِۦ مَن كَانَ یُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡیَوۡمِ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرِۚ وَمَن یَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ یَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مَخۡرَجࣰا

پس جب وہ اپنی عدت کو پہنچ جائیں تو انہیں دستور سے رکھ لو یا انہیں دستور سے چھوڑ دو اور دو معتبر آدمی اپنے میں سے گواہ کر لو اور الله کے لیے گواہی پوری دو یہ نصیحت کی باتیں انہیں سمجھائی جاتی ہیں جو الله اور قیامت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور جو الله سے ڈرتا ہے الله اس کے لیے نجات کی صورت نکال دیتا ہے

And when they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or part with them according to acceptable terms. And bring to witness two just men from among you and establish the testimony for [the acceptance of] Allah. That is instructed to whoever should believe in Allah and the Last day. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out

Fa izaa balaghna ajalahunna fa amsikoohunna bima'roofin aw faariqoohunna bima'roofinw wa ashhidoo zawai 'adlim minkum wa aqeemush shahaadata lillaah; zaalikum yoo'azu bihee man kaana yu'minu billaahi wal yawmil aakhir; wa many yattaqil laaha yaj'al lahoo makhrajaa

وَیَرۡزُقۡهُ مِنۡ حَیۡثُ لَا یَحۡتَسِبُۚ وَمَن یَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسۡبُهُۥۤۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَـٰلِغُ أَمۡرِهِۦۚ قَدۡ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدۡرࣰا

اور اسے رزق دیتا ہے جہاں سے اسے گمان بھی نہ ہو اور جو الله پر بھروسہ کرتا ہے سو وہی اس کو کافی ہے بے شک الله اپنا حکم پورا کرنے والا ہے الله نے ہر چیز کے لیے ایک اندازہ مقرر کر دیا ہے

And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.

Wa yarzuqhu min haisu laa yahtasib; wa many yatawakkal 'alal laahi fahuwa husbuh; innal laaha baalighu amrih; qad ja'alal laahu likulli shai'in qadraa

وَٱلَّـٰۤـِٔی یَىِٕسۡنَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَحِیضِ مِن نِّسَاۤىِٕكُمۡ إِنِ ٱرۡتَبۡتُمۡ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَـٰثَةُ أَشۡهُرࣲ وَٱلَّـٰۤـِٔی لَمۡ یَحِضۡنَۚ وَأُو۟لَـٰتُ ٱلۡأَحۡمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَن یَضَعۡنَ حَمۡلَهُنَّۚ وَمَن یَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ یَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مِنۡ أَمۡرِهِۦ یُسۡرࣰا

اور تمہاری عورتوں میں سے جن کو حیض کی امید نہیں رہی ہے اگر تمہیں شبہ ہو تو ان کی عدت تین مہینے ہیں اور ان کی بھی جنہیں ابھی حیض نہیں آیا اور حمل والیوں کی عدت ان کے بچہ جننے تک ہے اور جو الله سے ڈرتا ہے وہ اس کے کام آسان کر دیتا ہے

And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.

Wallaaa'ee ya'isna minal maheedi min nisaaa 'ikum inir tabtum fa'iddatuhunna salaasatu ashhurinw wallaaa'ee lam yahidn; wa ulaatul ahmaali ajaluhunna any yada'na hamlahun; wa many yattaqil laaha yaj'al lahoo min armrihee yusraa

ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ أَنزَلَهُۥۤ إِلَیۡكُمۡۚ وَمَن یَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ یُكَفِّرۡ عَنۡهُ سَیِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَیُعۡظِمۡ لَهُۥۤ أَجۡرًا

یہ الله کا حکم ہے جو اس نے تمہاری طرف نازل کیا ہے اور جو الله سے ڈرتا ہے وہ اس سے اس کی برائیاں دور کر دیتا ہے اور اسے بڑااجر بھی دیتا ہے

That is the command of Allah, which He has sent down to you; and whoever fears Allah - He will remove for him his misdeeds and make great for him his reward.

Zaalika amrul laahi anzalahoo ilaikum; wa many yattaqil laaha yukaffir 'anhu saiyi aatihee wa yu'zim lahoo ajraa

أَسۡكِنُوهُنَّ مِنۡ حَیۡثُ سَكَنتُم مِّن وُجۡدِكُمۡ وَلَا تُضَاۤرُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَیِّقُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِنَّۚ وَإِن كُنَّ أُو۟لَـٰتِ حَمۡلࣲ فَأَنفِقُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِنَّ حَتَّىٰ یَضَعۡنَ حَمۡلَهُنَّۚ فَإِنۡ أَرۡضَعۡنَ لَكُمۡ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَأۡتَمِرُوا۟ بَیۡنَكُم بِمَعۡرُوفࣲۖ وَإِن تَعَاسَرۡتُمۡ فَسَتُرۡضِعُ لَهُۥۤ أُخۡرَىٰ

طلاق دی ہوئی عورتوں کو وہیں رکھو جہاں تم اپنے مقدور کے موافق رہتے ہو اورانہیں ایذا نہ دو انہیں تنگ کرنے کے لیے اور اگر وہ حاملہ ہوں تو انہیں نان ونفقہ دو جب تک وہ وضع حمل کریں پس اگر پلائيں دودھ تمہارے لیے تو دو ان کو ان کی اجرت دو اور آپس میں دستور کے مطابق مشورہ کر لو اور اگر تم آپس میں تنگی کرو تو اس کے لیے دوسری عورت دودھ پلائے گی

Lodge them [in a section] of where you dwell out of your means and do not harm them in order to oppress them. And if they should be pregnant, then spend on them until they give birth. And if they breastfeed for you, then give them their payment and confer among yourselves in the acceptable way; but if you are in discord, then there may breastfeed for the father another woman.

Askinoohunna min haisu sakantum minw wujdikum wa laa tudaaarroohunna litudaiyiqoo 'alaihinn; wa in kunna ulaati hamlin fa anfiqoo 'alihinna hattaa yada'na hamlahunn; fain arda'na lakum fa aatoo hunna ujoorahunna waatamiroo bainakum bima'roofinw wa in ta'aasartum fasaturdi'u lahooo ukhraa

لِیُنفِقۡ ذُو سَعَةࣲ مِّن سَعَتِهِۦۖ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَیۡهِ رِزۡقُهُۥ فَلۡیُنفِقۡ مِمَّاۤ ءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُۚ لَا یُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفۡسًا إِلَّا مَاۤ ءَاتَىٰهَاۚ سَیَجۡعَلُ ٱللَّهُ بَعۡدَ عُسۡرࣲ یُسۡرࣰا

مقدور والا اپنے مقدور کے موافق خرچ کرے اور اگر تنگ دست ہو تو جو کچھ الله نے اسے دیا ہے اس میں سے خرچ کرے الله کسی کو تکلیف نہیں دیتا مگر اسی قدر جو اسے دے رکھا ہے عنقریب الله تنگی کے بعد آسانی کر دے گا

Let a man of wealth spend from his wealth, and he whose provision is restricted - let him spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not charge a soul except [according to] what He has given it. Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease.

Liyuntiq zoo sa'atim min sa'atihee wa man qudira 'alaihi riquhoo falyunfiq mimmaaa aataahul laah; laa yukalliful laahu nafsan illaa maaa aataahaa; sa yaj'alul laahu ba'da'usriny yusraa

وَكَأَیِّن مِّن قَرۡیَةٍ عَتَتۡ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِۦ فَحَاسَبۡنَـٰهَا حِسَابࣰا شَدِیدࣰا وَعَذَّبۡنَـٰهَا عَذَابࣰا نُّكۡرࣰا

اور کتنی ہی بستیاں اپنے رب اوراس کے رسولوں کے حکم سے سر کش ہوگئیں پھر ہم نے بھی ان سے سخت حساب لیا اور ان کو بری سزا دی

And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment.

Wa ka ayyim min qaryatin 'atat 'an amri Rabbihaa wa Rusulihee fahaasabnaahaa hisaaban shadeedanw wa 'azzabnaahaa 'azaaban nukraa

فَذَاقَتۡ وَبَالَ أَمۡرِهَا وَكَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ أَمۡرِهَا خُسۡرًا

پس ان بستیوں نے اپنے کام کا وبال چکھا اور ان کا انجام کار بربادی ہوئی

And it tasted the bad consequence of its affair, and the outcome of its affair was loss.

Fazaaqat wabbala amrihaa wa kaana 'aaqibatu amrihaa khusraa

أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣰا شَدِیدࣰاۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ یَـٰۤأُو۟لِی ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ۚ قَدۡ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَیۡكُمۡ ذِكۡرࣰا

الله نے ان کے لیے سخت عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے پھر اے عقل والو الله سے ڈرتے رہو جو ایمان لا چکے ہو بے شک الله نے تمہاری طرف نصیحت نازل کی ہے

Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment; so fear Allah, O you of understanding who have believed. Allah has sent down to you the Qur'an.

A'addal laahu lahum 'azaaban shadeedan fattaqul laaha yaaa ulil albaab, allazeena aammanoo; qad anzalal laahu ilaikum zikraa

رَّسُولࣰا یَتۡلُوا۟ عَلَیۡكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ مُبَیِّنَـٰتࣲ لِّیُخۡرِجَ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۚ وَمَن یُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَیَعۡمَلۡ صَـٰلِحࣰا یُدۡخِلۡهُ جَنَّـٰتࣲ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۤ أَبَدࣰاۖ قَدۡ أَحۡسَنَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ رِزۡقًا

یعنی ایک رسول جو تمہیں الله کی واضح آیتیں پڑھ کر سناتا ہے تاکہ جو ایمان لائے اورانہوں نے نیک کام بھی کیے انہیں اندھیروں سے نکال کر روشنی میں لے جائے اورجو الله پر ایمان لائے اور اس نے نیک کام بھی کیے تو اسے ایسے باغوں میں داخل کرے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی وہ ان میں سدا رہیں گے الله نے اس کو بہت اچھی روزی دی ہے

[He sent] a Messenger [Muhammad] reciting to you the distinct verses of Allah that He may bring out those who believe and do righteous deeds from darknesses into the light. And whoever believes in Allah and does righteousness - He will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein forever. Allah will have perfected for him a provision.

Rasoolany yatloo 'alaikum aayaatil laahi mubaiyinaatil liyukhrijal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati minaz zulumaati ilan noor; wa many yu'mim billaahi wa ya;mal saalihany yudkhilhu jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa abadan qad ahsanal laahu lahoo rizqqq

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ سَبۡعَ سَمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تࣲ وَمِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِثۡلَهُنَّۖ یَتَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ بَیۡنَهُنَّ لِتَعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرࣱ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدۡ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عِلۡمَۢا

الله ہی ہے جس نے سات آسمان پیدا کیے اور زمینیں بھی اتنی ہی ان میں حکم نازل ہوا کرتا ہے تاکہ تم جان لو کہ الله ہر چیز پر قادر ہے اور الله نے ہر چیز کو علم سے احاطہ کر رکھا ہے

It is Allah who has created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them. [His] command descends among them so you may know that Allah is over all things competent and that Allah has encompassed all things in knowledge.

Allaahul lazee khalaq Sab'a Samaawaatinw wa minal ardi mislahunna yatanazzalul amru bainahunna lita'lamooo annal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeerunw wa annal laaha qad ahaata bikulli shai'in ilmaa
