Surah Tahrim with Urdu & English Translation and Audio - سورۃ التحریم

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّبِیُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَاۤ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ لَكَۖ تَبۡتَغِی مَرۡضَاتَ أَزۡوَ ٰ⁠جِكَۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ

اے نبی آپ کیوں حرام کرتے ہیں جو الله نے آپ کے لیے حلال کیا ہے آپ اپنی بیویوں کی خوشنودی چاہتے ہیں اور الله بخشنے والا نہایت رحم والا ہے

O Prophet, why do you prohibit [yourself from] what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking the approval of your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Yaaa ayyuhan nabiyyu lima tuharrimu maaa ahallal laahu laka tabtaghee mardaata azwaajik; wallaahu ghafoorur raheem

قَدۡ فَرَضَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ تَحِلَّةَ أَیۡمَـٰنِكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ

الله نے تمہارے لیے اپنی قسموں کا توڑ دینا فرض کر دیا ہے اور الله ہی تمہارا مالک ہے اوروہی سب کا جاننے والا حکمت والا ہے

Allah has already ordained for you [Muslims] the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your protector, and He is the Knowing, the Wise.

Qad faradal laahu lakum tahillata aymaanikum; wallaahu mawlaakum wa huwal'aleemul hakeem

وَإِذۡ أَسَرَّ ٱلنَّبِیُّ إِلَىٰ بَعۡضِ أَزۡوَ ٰ⁠جِهِۦ حَدِیثࣰا فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَتۡ بِهِۦ وَأَظۡهَرَهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَیۡهِ عَرَّفَ بَعۡضَهُۥ وَأَعۡرَضَ عَنۢ بَعۡضࣲۖ فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَهَا بِهِۦ قَالَتۡ مَنۡ أَنۢبَأَكَ هَـٰذَاۖ قَالَ نَبَّأَنِیَ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ٱلۡخَبِیرُ

اور جب نبی نے چھپا کر اپنی کسی بیوی سے ایک بات کہہ دی اور پھر جب اس بیوی نے وہ بات بتا دی اور الله نے اس کو نبی پر ظاہر کر دیا تو نبی نے اس میں سے کچھ بات جتلا دی اور کچھ ٹال دی پس جب پیغمبر نے اس کو وہ بات جتلا دی تو بولی آپ کو کس نے یہ بات بتا دی آپ نے فرمایا مجھے خدائے علیم و خبیر نے یہ بات بتلائی

And [remember] when the Prophet confided to one of his wives a statement; and when she informed [another] of it and Allah showed it to him, he made known part of it and ignored a part. And when he informed her about it, she said, "Who told you this?" He said, "I was informed by the Knowing, the Acquainted."

Wa iz asarran nabiyyu ilaa ba'di azwaajihee hadeesan falammaa nabba at bihee wa azharahul laahu 'alaihi 'arrafa ba'dahoo wa a'rada 'am ba'din falammaa nabba ahaa bihee qaalat man amba aka haaza qaala nabba aniyal 'aleemul khabeer

إِن تَتُوبَاۤ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ صَغَتۡ قُلُوبُكُمَاۖ وَإِن تَظَـٰهَرَا عَلَیۡهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ مَوۡلَىٰهُ وَجِبۡرِیلُ وَصَـٰلِحُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَۖ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ بَعۡدَ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ ظَهِیرٌ

اگر تم دونوں الله کی جناب میں توبہ کرو تو (بہتر) ورنہ تمہارے دل تو مائل ہو ہی چکے ہیں اوراگر تم آپ کے خلاف ایک دوسرے کی مدد کرو گی تو بے شک اللهآپ کا مددگار ہے اور جبرائیل اور نیک بخت ایمان والے بھی اور سب فرشتے اس کے بعد آپ کے حامی ہیں

If you two [wives] repent to Allah, [it is best], for your hearts have deviated. But if you cooperate against him - then indeed Allah is his protector, and Gabriel and the righteous of the believers and the angels, moreover, are [his] assistants.

In tatoobaaa ilal laahi faqad saghat quloobukumaa wa in tazaaharaa 'alihi fa innal laaha huwa mawlaahu wa jibreelu wa saalihul mu'mineen; walma laaa'ikatu ba'dazaalika zaheer

عَسَىٰ رَبُّهُۥۤ إِن طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَن یُبۡدِلَهُۥۤ أَزۡوَ ٰ⁠جًا خَیۡرࣰا مِّنكُنَّ مُسۡلِمَـٰتࣲ مُّؤۡمِنَـٰتࣲ قَـٰنِتَـٰتࣲ تَـٰۤىِٕبَـٰتٍ عَـٰبِدَ ٰ⁠تࣲ سَـٰۤىِٕحَـٰتࣲ ثَیِّبَـٰتࣲ وَأَبۡكَارࣰا

اگر نبی تمیں طلاق دے دے تو بہت جلد اس کا رب اس کے بدلے میں تم سے اچھی بیویاں دے دے گا فرمانبردار ایمان والیاں نمازی توبہ کرنے والی عبادت گزار روزہ دار بیوائیں اور کنواریاں

Perhaps his Lord, if he divorced you [all], would substitute for him wives better than you - submitting [to Allah], believing, devoutly obedient, repentant, worshipping, and traveling - [ones] previously married and virgins.

'Asaa rabbuhooo in tallaqakunna anyyubdilahooo azwaajan khairam mnkunna muslimaatim mu'minaatin qaanitaatin taaa'ibaatin 'aabidaatin saaa'ihaatin saiyibaatinw wa abkaaraa

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ قُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَأَهۡلِیكُمۡ نَارࣰا وَقُودُهَا ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلۡحِجَارَةُ عَلَیۡهَا مَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةٌ غِلَاظࣱ شِدَادࣱ لَّا یَعۡصُونَ ٱللَّهَ مَاۤ أَمَرَهُمۡ وَیَفۡعَلُونَ مَا یُؤۡمَرُونَ

اے ایمان والو اپنے آپ کو اور اپنے گھر والوں کو دوزخ سے بچاؤ جس کا ایندھن آدمی اور پتھر ہیں اس پر فرشتے سخت دل قوی ہیکل مقرر ہیں وہ الله کی نافرمانی نہیں کرتے جو وہ انہیں حکم دے اور وہی کرتے ہیں جو انہیں حکم دیا جاتا ہے

O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena samanoo qooo anfusakum wa ahleekum naaranw waqoodu han naasu wal hijaaratu 'alaihaa malaaa'ikatun ghilaazun shidaadul laa ya'soonal laaha maa amarahum wa yaf'aloona maa yu'maroon

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَا تَعۡتَذِرُوا۟ ٱلۡیَوۡمَۖ إِنَّمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

اے کافرو آج بہانے نہ بناؤ تمہیں وہی بدلہ دیا جائے گا جو تم کیا کرتے تھے

O you who have disbelieved, make no excuses that Day. You will only be recompensed for what you used to do.

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena kafaroo la ta'tazinul yawma innamaa tujzawna maa kuntum ta'maloon

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوۡبَةࣰ نَّصُوحًا عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمۡ أَن یُكَفِّرَ عَنكُمۡ سَیِّـَٔاتِكُمۡ وَیُدۡخِلَكُمۡ جَنَّـٰتࣲ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ یَوۡمَ لَا یُخۡزِی ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّبِیَّ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥۖ نُورُهُمۡ یَسۡعَىٰ بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ وَبِأَیۡمَـٰنِهِمۡ یَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَاۤ أَتۡمِمۡ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَاۤۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرࣱ

اے ایمان والو الله کے سامنے خالص توبہ کرو کچھ بعید نہیں کہ تمہارا رب تم سے تمہارے گناہ دور کر دے اور تمہیں بہشتوں میں داخل کرے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی جس دن الله اپنے نبی کو اور ان کو جو اس کے ساتھ ایمان لائے رسوا نہیں کرے گا ان کا نور ان کے آگے اور ان کے دائیں دوڑ رہا ہوگا وہ کہہ رہے ہوں گے اے ہمارے رب ہمارے لیے ہمارا نور پورا کر اور ہمیں بخش دے بے شک تو ہر چیز پر قادر ہے

O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance. Perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow [on] the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him. Their light will proceed before them and on their right; they will say, "Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things competent."

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aammano toobooo ilal laahi tawbatan nasoohan 'asaa rabbukum any-yukaffira 'ankum sayyi aatikum wa yudkhilakum jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru yawma laa yukhzil laahun nabiyya wallazeena aamanoo ma'ahoo nooruhum yas'aa baina aydeehim wa bi aymaanihim yaqooloona rabbanaaa atmim lanaa nooranaa waghfir lana innaka 'alaa kulli shai'in qadeer

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّبِیُّ جَـٰهِدِ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ وَٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ وَٱغۡلُظۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡۚ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ

اے نبی کافروں اور منافقوں سے جہاد کر اور ان پر سختی کر اور انکا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے اور وہ بہت ہی بری جگہ ہے

O Prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination.

yaaa ayyuuhan nabiyyu jaahidil kuffaara walmunaa-fiqeena waghluz 'alaihim; wa maawaahum jahannamu wa bi'sal maseer

ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلࣰا لِّلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱمۡرَأَتَ نُوحࣲ وَٱمۡرَأَتَ لُوطࣲۖ كَانَتَا تَحۡتَ عَبۡدَیۡنِ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا صَـٰلِحَیۡنِ فَخَانَتَاهُمَا فَلَمۡ یُغۡنِیَا عَنۡهُمَا مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَیۡـࣰٔا وَقِیلَ ٱدۡخُلَا ٱلنَّارَ مَعَ ٱلدَّ ٰ⁠خِلِینَ

الله کافرو ں کے لیے ایک مثال بیان کرتا ہے نوح اور لوط کی بیوی کی وہ ہمارے دو نیک بندوں کے نکاح میں تھیں پھر ان دونوں نے ان کی خیانت کی سو وہ الله کے غضب سے بچانے میں ان کے کچھ بھی کام نہ آئے اور کہا جائے گا دونوں دوزخ میں داخل ہونے والوں کے ساتھ داخل ہو جاؤ

Allah presents an example of those who disbelieved: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of Our righteous servants but betrayed them, so those prophets did not avail them from Allah at all, and it was said, "Enter the Fire with those who enter."

Darabal laahu masalal lillazeena kafarum ra ata Noobinw wamra ata Loot, kaanataa tahta 'abdaini min 'ibaadinaa saalihaini fakhaanataahumaa falam yughniyaa 'anhumaa minal laahi shai anw-wa qeelad khulan naara ma'ad Daakhileen

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلࣰا لِّلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱمۡرَأَتَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِذۡ قَالَتۡ رَبِّ ٱبۡنِ لِی عِندَكَ بَیۡتࣰا فِی ٱلۡجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِی مِن فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَعَمَلِهِۦ وَنَجِّنِی مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ

اور الله ایمان داروں کے لیے فرعون کی بیوی کی مثال بیان کرتا ہے جب اس نے کہاکہ اے میرے رب میرے لیے اپنے پاس جنت میں ایک گھر بنا اور مجھے فرعون اور اس کے کام سے نجات دے اور مجھے ظالموں کی قوم سے نجات دے

And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, "My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people."

Wa darabal laahu masa lal-lillazeena aamanumra ata Fir'awn; iz qaalat rabbibni lee 'indaka baitan fil jannati wa najjinee min Fir'awna wa 'amalihii wa najjinee minal qawmiz zaalimeen

وَمَرۡیَمَ ٱبۡنَتَ عِمۡرَ ٰ⁠نَ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَحۡصَنَتۡ فَرۡجَهَا فَنَفَخۡنَا فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِنَا وَصَدَّقَتۡ بِكَلِمَـٰتِ رَبِّهَا وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَكَانَتۡ مِنَ ٱلۡقَـٰنِتِینَ

اور مریم عمران کی بیٹی (کی مثال بیان کرتا ہے) جس نے اپنی عصمت کو محفوظ رکھا پھر ہم نے اس میں اپنی طرف سے روح پھونکی اور اس نے اپنے رب کی باتوں کو اور اس کی کتابوں کو سچ جانا اوروہ عبادت کرنے والو ں میں سے تھی

And [the example of] Mary, the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity, so We blew into [her garment] through Our angel, and she believed in the words of her Lord and His scriptures and was of the devoutly obedient.

Wa Maryamab nata 'Imraanal lateee ahsanat farjahaa fanafakhnaa feehi mir roobinaa wa saddaqat bikali maati Rabbihaa wa Kutubihee wakaanat minal qaaniteen
