طه

طہۤ

Ta, Ha.

Taa-Haa

مَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡكَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِتَشۡقَىٰۤ

ہم نے تم پر قرآن اس لیے نازل نہیں کیا کہ تم تکلیف اٹھاؤ

We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed

Maaa anzalnaa 'alaikal Qur-aana litashqaaa

إِلَّا تَذۡكِرَةࣰ لِّمَن یَخۡشَىٰ

بلکہ اس شخص کے لیے نصیحت ہےجو ڈرتا ہے

But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] -

Illaa tazkiratal limany yakshaa

تَنزِیلࣰا مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ ٱلۡعُلَى

اس کی طرف سے نازل ہوا ہے جس نے زمین اور بلند آسمانوں کو پیدا کیا

A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens,

Tanzeelam mimman khalaqal arda was samaawaatil 'ulaa

ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ

رحمان جو عرش پر جلوہ گر ہے

The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established.

Ar-Rahmaanu 'alal 'Arshis tawaa

لَهُۥ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحۡتَ ٱلثَّرَىٰ

اسی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے اور جوکچھ گیلی زمین کے نیچے ہے

To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil.

Lahoo maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa maa tahtassaraa

وَإِن تَجۡهَرۡ بِٱلۡقَوۡلِ فَإِنَّهُۥ یَعۡلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ وَأَخۡفَى

اور اگرتو پکار کر بات کہے تو وہ پوشیدہ اور اس سے بھی زیادہ پوشیدہ کو جانتا ہے

And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden.

Wa in tajhar bilqawli fainnahoo ya'lamus sirra wa akhfaa

ٱللَّهُ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ لَهُ ٱلۡأَسۡمَاۤءُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ

الله ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اس کے سب نام اچھے ہیں

Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names.

Allaahu laaa ilasha illaa Huwa lahul Asmaaa'ul Husnaa

وَهَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِیثُ مُوسَىٰۤ

اور کیا تجھے موسیٰ کی بات پہنچی ہے

And has the story of Moses reached you? -

Wa hal ataaka hadeesu Moosa

إِذۡ رَءَا نَارࣰا فَقَالَ لِأَهۡلِهِ ٱمۡكُثُوۤا۟ إِنِّیۤ ءَانَسۡتُ نَارࣰا لَّعَلِّیۤ ءَاتِیكُم مِّنۡهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوۡ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدࣰى

جب اس نے آگ دیکھی تو اپنے گھر والوں سے کہا کہ ٹھہرو میں نے آگ دیکھی ہے شاید کہ میں اس سے تمہارے پاس کوئی چنگاری لاؤں یا وہاں کوئی رہبر پاؤں

When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance."

Iz ra aa naaran faqaala li alhlihim kusooo inneee aanastu naaral la'alleee aateekum minhaa biqabasin aw ajidu 'alan naari hudaa

فَلَمَّاۤ أَتَىٰهَا نُودِیَ یَـٰمُوسَىٰۤ

پھر جب وہ اس کے پاس آئے تو آواز آئی کہ اے موسیٰ

And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses,

Falammaaa ataahaa noodiya yaa Moosaa

إِنِّیۤ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكَ فَٱخۡلَعۡ نَعۡلَیۡكَ إِنَّكَ بِٱلۡوَادِ ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوࣰى

میں تمہارا رب ہوں سو تم اپنی جوتیاں اتار دو بے شک تم پاک وادی طویٰ میں ہو

Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa.

Inneee Ana Rabbuka fakhla' na'laika innaka bilwaadil muqaddasi Tuwaa

وَأَنَا ٱخۡتَرۡتُكَ فَٱسۡتَمِعۡ لِمَا یُوحَىٰۤ

اور میں نے تجھے پسند کیا ہے جو کچھ وحی کی جارہی ہےاسے سن لو

And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].

Wa anakhtartuka fastami' limaa yoohaa

إِنَّنِیۤ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّاۤ أَنَا۠ فَٱعۡبُدۡنِی وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكۡرِیۤ

بے شک میں ہی الله ہوں میرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں پس میری ہی بندگی کر اور میری ہی یاد کے لیے نماز پڑھا کر

Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.

Innaneee Anal laahu laaa ilaaha illaa Ana fa'budnee wa aqimis-salaata lizikree

إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِیَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخۡفِیهَا لِتُجۡزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا تَسۡعَىٰ

بے شک قیامت آنے والی ہے میں اسے پوشیدہ رکھنا چاہتا ہوں تاکہ ہر شخص کو اس کے کیے کا بدلہ مل جائے

Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives.

Innas Saa'ata aatiyatun akaadu ukhfeehaa litujzaa kullu nafsim bimaa tas'aa

فَلَا یَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنۡهَا مَن لَّا یُؤۡمِنُ بِهَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ فَتَرۡدَىٰ

سو تمہیں قیامت سے ایسا شخص باز نہ رکھنے پائے جو اس پر ایمان نہیں رکھتا اوراپنی خواہشوں پر چلتا ہے پھر تم تباہ ہوجاؤ

So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish.

Falaa yasuddannnaka 'anhaa mal laa yu'minu bihaa wattaba'a hawaahu fatardaa

وَمَا تِلۡكَ بِیَمِینِكَ یَـٰمُوسَىٰ

اور اے موسیٰ تیرے دائیں ہاتھ میں کیا ہے

And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?"

Wa maa tilka bi yamee nika yaa Moosaa

قَالَ هِیَ عَصَایَ أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟ عَلَیۡهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِی وَلِیَ فِیهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخۡرَىٰ

کہا یہ میری لاٹھی ہے ا س پر ٹیک لگاتا ہوں اور اس سے اپنی بکریوں پر پتے جھاڑتا ہوں اور اس میں میرے لیے اور بھی فائدے ہیں

He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses."

Qaala hiya 'asaaya atawakka'u alaihaa wa ahushshu bihaa 'alaa ghanamee wa liya feehaa ma aaribu ukhraa

قَالَ أَلۡقِهَا یَـٰمُوسَىٰ

فرمایا اے موسیٰ اسے ڈال دو

[Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses."

Qaala alqihaa yaa Moosaa

فَأَلۡقَىٰهَا فَإِذَا هِیَ حَیَّةࣱ تَسۡعَىٰ

پھر اسے ڈال دیا تو اسی وقت وہ دوڑتا ہوا سانپ ہو گیا

So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly.

Fa-alqaahaa fa -izaa hiya haiyatun tas'aa

قَالَ خُذۡهَا وَلَا تَخَفۡۖ سَنُعِیدُهَا سِیرَتَهَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

فرمایا اسے پکڑ لے اور نہ ڈر ہم ابھی اسےپہلی حالت پر پھیر دیں گے

[Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition.

Qaala khuzhaa wa laa ta khaf sanu'eeduhaa seeratahal oolaa

وَٱضۡمُمۡ یَدَكَ إِلَىٰ جَنَاحِكَ تَخۡرُجۡ بَیۡضَاۤءَ مِنۡ غَیۡرِ سُوۤءٍ ءَایَةً أُخۡرَىٰ

اور اپنا ہاتھ اپنی بغل سے ملا دے بلا عیب سفید ہو کر نکلے گا یہ دوسری نشانی ہے

And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign,

Wadmum yadaka ilaa janaahika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairi sooo'in Aayatan ukhraa

لِنُرِیَكَ مِنۡ ءَایَـٰتِنَا ٱلۡكُبۡرَى

تاکہ ہم تجھے اپنی بڑی نشانیوں میں سے بعض دکھائیں

That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs.

Linuriyaka min Aayaatinal Kubra

ٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

فرعون کے پاس جا بے شک وہ سرکش ہو گیا ہے

Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed."

Izhab ilaa Fir'awna innahoo taghaa

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱشۡرَحۡ لِی صَدۡرِی

کہا اے میرے رب میرا سینہ کھول دے

[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance]

Qaala Rabbish rah lee sadree

وَیَسِّرۡ لِیۤ أَمۡرِی

اورمیرا کام آسان کر

And ease for me my task

Wa yassir leee amree

وَٱحۡلُلۡ عُقۡدَةࣰ مِّن لِّسَانِی

اور میری زبان سے گرہ کھول دے

And untie the knot from my tongue

Wahlul 'uqdatam milli saanee

یَفۡقَهُوا۟ قَوۡلِی

کہ میری بات سمجھ لیں

That they may understand my speech.

Yafqahoo qawlee

وَٱجۡعَل لِّی وَزِیرࣰا مِّنۡ أَهۡلِی

اور میرے لیے میرے کنبے میں سے ایک معاون بنا دے

And appoint for me a minister from my family -

Waj'al lee wazeeram min ahlee

هَـٰرُونَ أَخِی

ہارون کو جو میرا بھائی ہے

Aaron, my brother.

Haaroona akhee

ٱشۡدُدۡ بِهِۦۤ أَزۡرِی

ا س سے میری کمر مضبوط کر دے

Increase through him my strength

Ushdud biheee azree

وَأَشۡرِكۡهُ فِیۤ أَمۡرِی

اور اسے میرے کام میں شریک کر دے

And let him share my task

Wa ashrik hu feee amree

كَیۡ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِیرࣰا

تاکہ ہم تیری پاک ذات کا بہت بیان کریں

That we may exalt You much

Kai nusabbihaka kaseeraa

وَنَذۡكُرَكَ كَثِیرًا

اور تجھے بہت یاد کریں

And remember You much.

Wa nazkuraka kaseeraa

إِنَّكَ كُنتَ بِنَا بَصِیرࣰا

بے شک تو ہمیں خوب دیکھتا ہے

Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing."

Innaka kunta binaa baseeraa

قَالَ قَدۡ أُوتِیتَ سُؤۡلَكَ یَـٰمُوسَىٰ

فرمایا اے موسیٰ تیری درخواست منظور ہے

[Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses.

Qaala qad ooteeta su'laka yaa Moosaa

وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَیۡكَ مَرَّةً أُخۡرَىٰۤ

اورالبتہ تحقیق ہم نے تجھ پر ایک دفعہ اور بھی احسان کیا ہے

And We had already conferred favor upon you another time,

Wa laqad manannaa 'alaika marratan ukhraaa

إِذۡ أَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰۤ أُمِّكَ مَا یُوحَىٰۤ

جب ہم نے تیری ماں کے دل میں بات ڈال دی تھی

When We inspired to your mother what We inspired,

Iz awhainaaa ilaaa ummika maa yoohaaa

أَنِ ٱقۡذِفِیهِ فِی ٱلتَّابُوتِ فَٱقۡذِفِیهِ فِی ٱلۡیَمِّ فَلۡیُلۡقِهِ ٱلۡیَمُّ بِٱلسَّاحِلِ یَأۡخُذۡهُ عَدُوࣱّ لِّی وَعَدُوࣱّ لَّهُۥۚ وَأَلۡقَیۡتُ عَلَیۡكَ مَحَبَّةࣰ مِّنِّی وَلِتُصۡنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَیۡنِیۤ

کہ اسے صندوق میں ڈال دے پھر اسے دریا میں ڈال دے پر اسے دریا کنارے پر ڈال دے گا اسے میرا دشمن اور اس کا دشمن اٹھا لے گا اور میں نے تجھ پر اپنی طرف سے محبت ڈال دی اور تاکہ تو میرے سامنے پرورش پائے

[Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye.

Aniqzifeehi fit Taabooti faqzifeehi fil yammi fal yul qihil yammu bis saahili yaakhuzhu 'aduwwul lee wa 'aduwwul lah; wa alqaitu 'alaika mahabbatam minnee wa litusna'a 'alaa 'ainee

إِذۡ تَمۡشِیۤ أُخۡتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن یَكۡفُلُهُۥۖ فَرَجَعۡنَـٰكَ إِلَىٰۤ أُمِّكَ كَیۡ تَقَرَّ عَیۡنُهَا وَلَا تَحۡزَنَۚ وَقَتَلۡتَ نَفۡسࣰا فَنَجَّیۡنَـٰكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّـٰكَ فُتُونࣰاۚ فَلَبِثۡتَ سِنِینَ فِیۤ أَهۡلِ مَدۡیَنَ ثُمَّ جِئۡتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرࣲ یَـٰمُوسَىٰ

جب تیری بہن کہتی جا رہی تھی کیا تمہیں ایسی عورت بتاؤں جو اسے اچھی طرح پالے پھر ہم نے تجھے تیری ماں کے پاس پہنچا دیا کہ اس کی آنکھ ٹھنڈی ہو اور غم نہ کھائے اور تو نے ایک شخص کو مار ڈالا پھر ہم نے تجھے اس غم سے نکالا اور ہم نے تجھے کئی مرتبہ آزمائش میں ڈالا پھر تو مدین والوں میں کئی برس رہا پھر تو اے موسیٰ تقدیر سے یہاں آیا

[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.

Iz tamsheee ukhtuka fataqoolu hal adullukum 'alaa mai yakfuluhoo faraja 'naaka ilaaa ummika kai taqarra 'ainuhaa wa laa tahzan; wa qatalta nafsan fanajjainaaka minal ghammi wa fatannaaka futoonaa; falabista sineena feee ahli Madyana summa ji'ta 'alaa qadariny yaa Moosa

وَٱصۡطَنَعۡتُكَ لِنَفۡسِی

اور میں نے تجھے خاص اپنے واسطے بنایا

And I produced you for Myself.

Wastana' tuka linafsee

ٱذۡهَبۡ أَنتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِـَٔایَـٰتِی وَلَا تَنِیَا فِی ذِكۡرِی

تو اور تیرا بھائی میری نشانیاں لے کر جاؤ اور میری یاد میں کوتاہی نہ کرو

Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance.

Izhab anta wa akhooka bi Aayaatee wa laa taniyaa fee zikree

ٱذۡهَبَاۤ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

فرعون کے پاس جاؤ بے شک وہ سرکش ہو گیا ہے

Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.

Izhabaaa ilaa Fir'awna innahoo taghaa

فَقُولَا لَهُۥ قَوۡلࣰا لَّیِّنࣰا لَّعَلَّهُۥ یَتَذَكَّرُ أَوۡ یَخۡشَىٰ

سو اس سے نرمی سے بات کرو شاید وہ نصیحت حاصل کرے یا ڈر جائے

And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]."

Faqoolaa lahoo qawlal laiyinal la allahoo yatazakkkaru 'aw yakhshaa

قَالَا رَبَّنَاۤ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن یَفۡرُطَ عَلَیۡنَاۤ أَوۡ أَن یَطۡغَىٰ

کہا اے ہمارے رب ہمیں ڈر ہے کہ وہ ہم پر زیادتی کرے یا یہ کہ زیادہ سرکشی کرے

They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress."

Qaalaa Rabbanaaa innanaa nakhaafu ai yafruta 'alainaaa aw ai yatghaa

قَالَ لَا تَخَافَاۤۖ إِنَّنِی مَعَكُمَاۤ أَسۡمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ

فرمایا ڈرو مت میں تمہارے ساتھ سنتا اور دیکھتا ہوں

[Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.

Qaala laa takhaafaaa innanee ma'akumaa asma'u wa araa

فَأۡتِیَاهُ فَقُولَاۤ إِنَّا رَسُولَا رَبِّكَ فَأَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰ⁠ۤءِیلَ وَلَا تُعَذِّبۡهُمۡۖ قَدۡ جِئۡنَـٰكَ بِـَٔایَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّكَۖ وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُ عَلَىٰ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰۤ

سو تم دونوں اس کے پاس جاؤ اورکہو کہ بے شک ہم تیرے رب کی طرف سے پیغام لے کر آئے ہیں کہ بنی اسرائیل کو ہمارے ساتھ بھیج دے اور انہیں تکلیف نہ دے ہم تیرے پاس تیرے رب کی طرف سے نشانی لے کر آئے ہیں اور سلامتی اس کے لیے ہے جو سیدھی راہ پر چلے

So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance.

Faatiyaahu faqoolaaa innaa Rasoolaa Rabbika fa arsil ma'anaa Banee Israaa'eela wa laa tu'azzibhum qad ji'naaka bi Aayatim mir Rabbika wassa laamu 'alaa manit taba'al hudaa

إِنَّا قَدۡ أُوحِیَ إِلَیۡنَاۤ أَنَّ ٱلۡعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

بے شک ہمیں وحی سے بتایا گیا ہے کہ عذاب اسی پر ہوگا جو جھٹلائے اور منہ پھیر لے

Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' "

Innaa qad oohiya ilainaaa annnal 'azaaba 'alaa man kaz zaba wa tawalla

قَالَ فَمَن رَّبُّكُمَا یَـٰمُوسَىٰ

کہا اے موسیٰ پھر تمہارا رب کون ہے

[Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?"

Qaala famar Rabbu kumaa yaa Moosa

قَالَ رَبُّنَا ٱلَّذِیۤ أَعۡطَىٰ كُلَّ شَیۡءٍ خَلۡقَهُۥ ثُمَّ هَدَىٰ

کہا ہمارا رب وہ ہے جس نے ہر چیز کو اس کی صورت عطا کی پھر راہ دکھائی

He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]."

Qaala Rabbunal lazeee a'taa kulla shai'in khalqahoo summa hadaa

قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ ٱلۡقُرُونِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

کہا پھر پہلی جماعتوں کا کیا حال ہے

[Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?"

Qaala famaa baalul quroonil oolaa

قَالَ عِلۡمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّی فِی كِتَـٰبࣲۖ لَّا یَضِلُّ رَبِّی وَلَا یَنسَى

کہا ان کا علم میرے رب کے ہاں کتاب میں ہے میرا رب نہ غلطی کرتا ہے اور نہ بھولتا ہے

[Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets."

Qaala 'ilmuhaa 'inda Rabee fee kitaab, laa yadillu Rabbee wa laa yansaa

ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَهۡدࣰا وَسَلَكَ لَكُمۡ فِیهَا سُبُلࣰا وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهِۦۤ أَزۡوَ ٰ⁠جࣰا مِّن نَّبَاتࣲ شَتَّىٰ

جس نے تمہارے لیے زمین کو بچھونا بنایا اور تمہارے لیے اس میں راستے بنائے اور آسمان سے پانی نازل کیا پھر ہم نے اس میں طرح طرح کی مختلف سبزیاں نکالیں

[It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants.

Allazee ja'ala lakumul arda mahdanw wa salaka lakum feehaa subulanw wa anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa akhrajnaa biheee azwaajam min nabaatin shatta

كُلُوا۟ وَٱرۡعَوۡا۟ أَنۡعَـٰمَكُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَـَٔایَـٰتࣲ لِّأُو۟لِی ٱلنُّهَىٰ

کھاؤ اور اپنے مویشیوں کو چراؤ بے شک اس میں عقل والوں کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں

Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence.

Kuloo war'aw an'aamakum; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil li ulin nuhaa

۞ مِنۡهَا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ وَفِیهَا نُعِیدُكُمۡ وَمِنۡهَا نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ تَارَةً أُخۡرَىٰ

اسی زمین سے ہم نے تمہیں بنایا اور اسی میں لوٹائیں گے اور دوبارہ اسی سے نکالیں گے

From the earth We created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will extract you another time.

Minhaa khalaqnaakum wa feehaa nu'eedukum wa minhaa nukhrijukum taaratan ukhraa

وَلَقَدۡ أَرَیۡنَـٰهُ ءَایَـٰتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَأَبَىٰ

اورہم نے فرعون کو اپنی سب نشانیاں دکھا دیں پھر اس نے جھٹلایا اورانکار کیا

And We certainly showed Pharaoh Our signs - all of them - but he denied and refused.

Wa laqad arainaahu Aayaatinaa kullahaa fakaz zaba wa abaa

قَالَ أَجِئۡتَنَا لِتُخۡرِجَنَا مِنۡ أَرۡضِنَا بِسِحۡرِكَ یَـٰمُوسَىٰ

کہا اے موسیٰ کیا تو ہمیں اپنے جادو سے ہمارے ملک سے نکالنے کے لیے آیا ہے

He said, "Have you come to us to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Moses?

Qaala aji'tanaa litukhri janaa min ardinaa bisihrika yaa Moosa

فَلَنَأۡتِیَنَّكَ بِسِحۡرࣲ مِّثۡلِهِۦ فَٱجۡعَلۡ بَیۡنَنَا وَبَیۡنَكَ مَوۡعِدࣰا لَّا نُخۡلِفُهُۥ نَحۡنُ وَلَاۤ أَنتَ مَكَانࣰا سُوࣰى

سو ہم بھی تیرے مقابلے میں ایک ایسا ہی جادو لائیں گے سوہمارے او راپنے درمیان ایک وعدہ مقرر کر دے نہ ہم اس کے خلاف کریں اورنہ تو کسی صاف میدان میں

Then we will surely bring you magic like it, so make between us and you an appointment, which we will not fail to keep and neither will you, in a place assigned."

Falanaatiyannaka bisihrim mislihee faj'al bainanaa wa bainaka maw'idal laa nukhlifuhoo nahnu wa laaa anta makaanan suwaa

قَالَ مَوۡعِدُكُمۡ یَوۡمُ ٱلزِّینَةِ وَأَن یُحۡشَرَ ٱلنَّاسُ ضُحࣰى

کہا تمہارا وعدہ جشن کا دن ہے اور دن چڑھے لوگ اکھٹے کیے جائیں

[Moses] said, "Your appointment is on the day of the festival when the people assemble at mid-morning."

Qaala maw'idukum yawmuz zeenati wa ai yuhsharan naasu duhaa

فَتَوَلَّىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فَجَمَعَ كَیۡدَهُۥ ثُمَّ أَتَىٰ

پھر فرعون لوٹ گیا اور اپنے مکر کا سامان جمع کیا پھر آیا

So Pharaoh went away, put together his plan, and then came [to Moses].

Fatawallaa Fir'awnu fajjama'a kaidahoo summa ataa

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰ وَیۡلَكُمۡ لَا تَفۡتَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبࣰا فَیُسۡحِتَكُم بِعَذَابࣲۖ وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ

موسیٰ نے کہا افسوس تم الله پر بہتان نہ باندھو ورنہ وہ کسی عذاب سے تمہیں ہلاک کر دے گا اوربے شک جس نے جھوٹ بنایا وہ غارت ہوا

Moses said to the magicians summoned by Pharaoh, "Woe to you! Do not invent a lie against Allah or He will exterminate you with a punishment; and he has failed who invents [such falsehood]."

Qaala lahum Moosaa wailakum laa taftaroo 'alal laahi kaziban fa yus hitakum bi 'azaab, wa qad khaaba manif taraa

فَتَنَـٰزَعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَهُم بَیۡنَهُمۡ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجۡوَىٰ

پھر ان کا آپس میں اختلاف ہو گیا اور خفیہ گفتگو کرتے رہے

So they disputed over their affair among themselves and concealed their private conversation.

Fatanaaza'ooo amrahum bainahum wa asarrun najwaa

قَالُوۤا۟ إِنۡ هَـٰذَ ٰ⁠نِ لَسَـٰحِرَ ٰ⁠نِ یُرِیدَانِ أَن یُخۡرِجَاكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُم بِسِحۡرِهِمَا وَیَذۡهَبَا بِطَرِیقَتِكُمُ ٱلۡمُثۡلَىٰ

کہا بے شک یہ دونوں جادوگر ہیں چاہتے ہیں کہ اپنے جادو کے زور سے تمہیں تمہارے ملک سے نکال دیں اور تمہارے عمدہ طریقہ کو موقوف کر دیں

They said, "Indeed, these are two magicians who want to drive you out of your land with their magic and do away with your most exemplary way.

Qaalooo in haaazaani lasaahiraani yureedaani ai yukhrijaakum min ardikum bisihrihimaa wa yazhabaa bitareeqatikumul muslaa

فَأَجۡمِعُوا۟ كَیۡدَكُمۡ ثُمَّ ٱئۡتُوا۟ صَفࣰّاۚ وَقَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ مَنِ ٱسۡتَعۡلَىٰ

پھر تم اپنی تدبیر جمع کر کے صف باندھ کر آؤ اور تحقیق آج جیت گیا جو غالب رہا

So resolve upon your plan and then come [forward] in line. And he has succeeded today who overcomes."

Fa ajmi'oo kaidakum summma'too saffaa; wa qad aflahal yawma manis ta'laa

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰمُوسَىٰۤ إِمَّاۤ أَن تُلۡقِیَ وَإِمَّاۤ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنۡ أَلۡقَىٰ

کہا اے موسیٰ یا تو ڈال اوریا ہم پہلے ڈالنے والے ہوں

They said, "O Moses, either you throw or we will be the first to throw."

Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa immaaa an tulqiya wa immaaa an nakoona awala man alqaa

قَالَ بَلۡ أَلۡقُوا۟ۖ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمۡ وَعِصِیُّهُمۡ یُخَیَّلُ إِلَیۡهِ مِن سِحۡرِهِمۡ أَنَّهَا تَسۡعَىٰ

کہا بلکہ تم ڈالو پس اچانک ان کی رسیاں او رلاٹھیاں ان کے جادو سے اس کے خیال میں دوڑ رہی ہیں

He said, "Rather, you throw." And suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him from their magic that they were moving [like snakes].

Qaala bal alqoo fa izaa hibaaluhum wa 'isiyyuhum yuhaiyalu ilaihi min sihrihim annahaa tas'aa

فَأَوۡجَسَ فِی نَفۡسِهِۦ خِیفَةࣰ مُّوسَىٰ

پھر موسیٰ نے اپنے دل میں ڈر محسوس کیا

And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses.

Fa awjasa fee nafsihee kheefatam Moosa

قُلۡنَا لَا تَخَفۡ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ

ہم نے کہا ڈرو مت بیشک تو ہی غالب ہوگا

Allah said, "Fear not. Indeed, it is you who are superior.

Qulnaa laa takhaf innaka antal a'laa

وَأَلۡقِ مَا فِی یَمِینِكَ تَلۡقَفۡ مَا صَنَعُوۤا۟ۖ إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا۟ كَیۡدُ سَـٰحِرࣲۖ وَلَا یُفۡلِحُ ٱلسَّاحِرُ حَیۡثُ أَتَىٰ

او رجو تیرے دائیں ہاتھ میں ہے ڈال دے کہ نگل جائے جو کچھ انہوں نے بنایا ہےجو کچھ کہ انہوں نے بنایا ہے صرف جادوگر کا فریب ہے اورجادوگر کا بھلا نہیں ہوتا جہاں بھی ہو

And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is."

Wa alqi maa fee yamee nika talqaf maa sana'oo; innamaa sana'oo kaidu saahir; wa laa yuflihus saahiru haisu ataa

فَأُلۡقِیَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدࣰا قَالُوۤا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَـٰرُونَ وَمُوسَىٰ

پھر جادوگر سجدہ میں گر پڑے کہا ہم ہارون اورموسیٰ کے رب پر ایمان لائے

So the magicians fell down in prostration. They said, "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."

Fa ulqiyas saharatu sujjadan qaalooo aamannaa bi Rabbi Haaroona wa Moosa

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِیرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِی عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَۖ فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَیۡدِیَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَـٰفࣲ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ فِی جُذُوعِ ٱلنَّخۡلِ وَلَتَعۡلَمُنَّ أَیُّنَاۤ أَشَدُّ عَذَابࣰا وَأَبۡقَىٰ

کہا تم میری اجازت سے پہلےہی اس پر ایمان لے آئے بے شک یہ تمہارا سردار ہے جس نے تمہیں جادو سکھایا سو اب میں تمہارے ہاتھ اور دوسری طرف کے پاؤں کٹواؤں گا اورتمہیں کھجور کے تنوں پر سولی دوں گا اورتمہیں معلوم ہوجائے گا ہم میں سے کس کا عذاب سخت اور دیر تک رہنے والا ہے

[Pharaoh] said, "You believed him before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will surely know which of us is more severe in [giving] punishment and more enduring."

Qaala aamantum lahoo qabla an aazana lakum; innahoo lakabeerukumul lazee 'allama kumus sihra fala uqatti'anna aidiyakum wa arjulakum min khilaafinw wa la usallibannakum fee juzoo'in nakhli wa lata'lamunna aiyunaaa ashaddu 'azaabanw wa abqaa

قَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤۡثِرَكَ عَلَىٰ مَا جَاۤءَنَا مِنَ ٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ وَٱلَّذِی فَطَرَنَاۖ فَٱقۡضِ مَاۤ أَنتَ قَاضٍۖ إِنَّمَا تَقۡضِی هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۤ

کہا ہم تجھے ہرگزترجیح نہ دیں گے ان کھلی ہوئی نشانیوں کے مقابلہ میں جو ہمارے پاس آ چکی ہیں اورنہ اس کے مقابلہ میں جس نے ہمیں پیدا کیا ہے سو تو کر گزر جو تجھے کرنا ہے تو صرف اس دنیا کی زندگی پر حکم چلا سکتا ہے

They said, "Never will we prefer you over what has come to us of clear proofs and [over] He who created us. So decree whatever you are to decree. You can only decree for this worldly life.

Qaaloo lan nu'siraka 'alaa maa jaaa'anaa minal baiyinaati wallazee fataranaa faqdi maaa anta qaad; innamaa taqdee haazihil hayaatad dunyaa

إِنَّاۤ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّنَا لِیَغۡفِرَ لَنَا خَطَـٰیَـٰنَا وَمَاۤ أَكۡرَهۡتَنَا عَلَیۡهِ مِنَ ٱلسِّحۡرِۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَیۡرࣱ وَأَبۡقَىٰۤ

بے شک ہم اپنے رب پر ایمان لائے ہیں تاکہ ہمارے گناہ معاف کرے اور جو تو نے ہم سے زبردستی جادو کرایا اور الله بہتر اور سدا باقی رہنے والا ہے

Indeed, we have believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us [to do] of magic. And Allah is better and more enduring."

Innaaa aamannaa bi Rabbinaa liyaghfira lanaa khataayaanaa wa maaa akrahtanaa 'alaihi minas sihr; wallaahu khairunw waabqaa

إِنَّهُۥ مَن یَأۡتِ رَبَّهُۥ مُجۡرِمࣰا فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ لَا یَمُوتُ فِیهَا وَلَا یَحۡیَىٰ

بے شک جو شخص اپنے رب کے پا س مجرم ہو کر آئے گا سواس کے لیے دوزخ ہے جس میں نہ مرے گا اور نہ جیے گا

Indeed, whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal - indeed, for him is Hell; he will neither die therein nor live.

Innahoo mai yaati Rabbahoo mujriman fa inna lahoo Jahannama laa yamotu feehaa wa laa yahyaa

وَمَن یَأۡتِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنࣰا قَدۡ عَمِلَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمُ ٱلدَّرَجَـٰتُ ٱلۡعُلَىٰ

اورجو اس کے پاس مومن ہوکر آئے گا حالانکہ اس نے اچھے کام بھی کیے ہوں تو ان کے لیے بلند مرتبے ہوں گے

But whoever comes to Him as a believer having done righteous deeds - for those will be the highest degrees [in position]:

Wa mai yaatihee mu'minan qad 'amilas saalihaati fa ulaaa'ika lahumud dara jaatul 'ulaa

جَنَّـٰتُ عَدۡنࣲ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۚ وَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ جَزَاۤءُ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

ہمیشہ رہنے کے باغ جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے اور یہ اس کی جزا ہے جو گناہ سے پاک ہوا

Gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of one who purifies himself.

Jannaatu 'Adnin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; wa zaalika jazaaa'ua man tazakka

وَلَقَدۡ أَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنۡ أَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِی فَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُمۡ طَرِیقࣰا فِی ٱلۡبَحۡرِ یَبَسࣰا لَّا تَخَـٰفُ دَرَكࣰا وَلَا تَخۡشَىٰ

او رہم نے البتہ موسیٰ کو وحی کی کہ میرے بندوں کو راتوں رات لے جا پھر ان کے لیے دریامیں خشک راستہ بنا دے پکڑے جانے سے نہ ڈر اور نہ کسی خطرہ کا خوف کھا

And We had inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants and strike for them a dry path through the sea; you will not fear being overtaken [by Pharaoh] nor be afraid [of drowning]."

Wa laqad awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an asri bi'ibaadee fadrib lahum tareeqan fil bahri yabasal laa takhaafu darakanw wa laa takhshaa

فَأَتۡبَعَهُمۡ فِرۡعَوۡنُ بِجُنُودِهِۦ فَغَشِیَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡیَمِّ مَا غَشِیَهُمۡ

پھر فرعون نے اپنے لشکر کو لے کر ان کا پیچھا کیا پھر انہیں دریا نےڈھانپ لیا جیسا ڈھانپا

So Pharaoh pursued them with his soldiers, and there covered them from the sea that which covered them,

Fa atba'ahum Fir'awnu bijunoodihee faghashiyahum minal yammmi maa ghashi yahum

وَأَضَلَّ فِرۡعَوۡنُ قَوۡمَهُۥ وَمَا هَدَىٰ

اور فرعون نے اپنی قوم کو بہکایا اور راہ پر نہ لایا

And Pharaoh led his people astray and did not guide [them].

wa adalla fir'awnu qawmahoo wa maa hadaa

یَـٰبَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰ⁠ۤءِیلَ قَدۡ أَنجَیۡنَـٰكُم مِّنۡ عَدُوِّكُمۡ وَوَ ٰ⁠عَدۡنَـٰكُمۡ جَانِبَ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلۡأَیۡمَنَ وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَیۡكُمُ ٱلۡمَنَّ وَٱلسَّلۡوَىٰ

اے بنی اسرائیل ہم نے تمہیں تمہارے دشمن سے نجات دی اور تم سے طور کی دائیں طرف کا وعدہ کیا اور تم پر من و سلویٰ اتارا

O Children of Israel, We delivered you from your enemy, and We made an appointment with you at the right side of the mount, and We sent down to you manna and quails,

Yaa Baneee Israaa'eela qad anjainaakum min 'aduw wikum wa wa'adnaakum jaanibat Tooril aimana wa nazzalnaa 'alaikumul Manna was Salwaa

كُلُوا۟ مِن طَیِّبَـٰتِ مَا رَزَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ وَلَا تَطۡغَوۡا۟ فِیهِ فَیَحِلَّ عَلَیۡكُمۡ غَضَبِیۖ وَمَن یَحۡلِلۡ عَلَیۡهِ غَضَبِی فَقَدۡ هَوَىٰ

کھاؤ جو ستھری چیزیں ہم نے تمہیں دی ہیں اور اس میں حد سے نہ گزرو پھر تم پر میرا غضب نازل ہو گا اور جس پرمیرا غضب نازل ہوا سو وہ گڑھے میں جا گرا

[Saying], "Eat from the good things with which We have provided you and do not transgress [or oppress others] therein, lest My anger should descend upon you. And he upon whom My anger descends has certainly fallen."

Kuloo min taiyibaati maa razaqnaakum wa laa tatghaw feehi fa yahilla 'alaikum ghadabee wa mai yahlil 'alaihi ghadabee faqad hawaa

وَإِنِّی لَغَفَّارࣱ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحࣰا ثُمَّ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ

اور بے شک میں بڑا بخشنے والا ہوں اس کو جو توبہ کرے اور ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کرے پھر ہدایت پر قائم رہے

But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.

Wa innee la Ghaffaarul liman taaba wa aamana wa 'amila saalihan summah tadaa

۞ وَمَاۤ أَعۡجَلَكَ عَن قَوۡمِكَ یَـٰمُوسَىٰ

اور اے موسیٰ تجھے اپنی قوم سے پہلے جلدی آنے کا کیا سبب ہوا

[Allah] said, "And what made you hasten from your people, O Moses?"

Wa maaa a'jalaka 'an qawmika yaa Moosa

قَالَ هُمۡ أُو۟لَاۤءِ عَلَىٰۤ أَثَرِی وَعَجِلۡتُ إِلَیۡكَ رَبِّ لِتَرۡضَىٰ

کہا وہ بھی میرے پیچھے یہ آ رہے ہیں اور اے میرے رب میں جلدی تیرے طرف آیا تاکہ تو خوش ہو

He said, "They are close upon my tracks, and I hastened to You, my Lord, that You be pleased."

Qaala hum ulaaa'i 'alaaa asaree wa 'ajiltu ilaika Rabbi litardaa

قَالَ فَإِنَّا قَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَوۡمَكَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِكَ وَأَضَلَّهُمُ ٱلسَّامِرِیُّ

فرمایا تیری قوم کو تیرے بعد ہم نے آزمائش میں ڈال دیاہےاور انہیں سامری نے گمراہ کر دیا ہے

[Allah] said, "But indeed, We have tried your people after you [departed], and the Samiri has led them astray."

Qaala fa innaa qad fatannaa qawmaka mim ba'dika wa adallahumus Saamiriyy

فَرَجَعَ مُوسَىٰۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ غَضۡبَـٰنَ أَسِفࣰاۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَلَمۡ یَعِدۡكُمۡ رَبُّكُمۡ وَعۡدًا حَسَنًاۚ أَفَطَالَ عَلَیۡكُمُ ٱلۡعَهۡدُ أَمۡ أَرَدتُّمۡ أَن یَحِلَّ عَلَیۡكُمۡ غَضَبࣱ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ فَأَخۡلَفۡتُم مَّوۡعِدِی

پھر موسیٰ اپنی قوم کی طرف غصہ میں بھرے ہوئے افسوس کرتے ہوئے لوٹے کہا اے میری قوم کیا تمہارے رب نے تم سے اچھا وعدہ نہیں کیا تھا پھر کیا تم پر بہت زمانہ گزر گیا تھا یا تم نے چاہا کہ تم پر تمہارے رب کا غصہ نازل ہو تب تم نے مجھ سے وعدہ خلافی کی

So Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved. He said, "O my people, did your Lord not make you a good promise? Then, was the time [of its fulfillment] too long for you, or did you wish that wrath from your Lord descend upon you, so you broke your promise [of obedience] to me?"

Faraja's Moosaaa ilaa qawmihee ghadbaana asifaa; qaala yaa qawmi alam ya'idkum Rabbukum wa'dan hasanaa; afataala 'alaikumul 'ahdu am arattum ai yahilla 'alaikum ghadabum mir Rabbikum fa akhlaftum maw'idee

قَالُوا۟ مَاۤ أَخۡلَفۡنَا مَوۡعِدَكَ بِمَلۡكِنَا وَلَـٰكِنَّا حُمِّلۡنَاۤ أَوۡزَارࣰا مِّن زِینَةِ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ فَقَذَفۡنَـٰهَا فَكَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ أَلۡقَى ٱلسَّامِرِیُّ

کہا ہم نےاپنے اختیا ر سے آپ سے وعدہ خلافی نہیں کی لیکن ہم سے اس قوم کے زیور کا بوجھ اٹھوایا گیا تھا سو ہم نے اسے ڈال دیا پھر اسی طرح سامری نے ڈال دیا

They said, "We did not break our promise to you by our will, but we were made to carry burdens from the ornaments of the people [of Pharaoh], so we threw them [into the fire], and thus did the Samiri throw."

Qaaloo maaa akhlafnaa maw'idaka bimalkinna wa laakinna hummilnaaa awzaaram min zeenatil qawmi faqazafnaahaa fakazaalika alqas Saamiriyy

فَأَخۡرَجَ لَهُمۡ عِجۡلࣰا جَسَدࣰا لَّهُۥ خُوَارࣱ فَقَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَـٰهُكُمۡ وَإِلَـٰهُ مُوسَىٰ فَنَسِیَ

پھر ان کے لیے ایک بچھڑا نکال لایا ایک جسم جس میں گائے کی آواز تھی پھر کہا یہ تمہارا اور موسیٰ کا معبود ہے سو وہ بھول گیا ہے

And he extracted for them [the statue of] a calf which had a lowing sound, and they said, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he forgot."

Fa akhraja lahum 'ijlan jasadal lahoo khuwaarun faqaaloo haazaaa ilaahukum wa ilaahu Moosaa fanasee

أَفَلَا یَرَوۡنَ أَلَّا یَرۡجِعُ إِلَیۡهِمۡ قَوۡلࣰا وَلَا یَمۡلِكُ لَهُمۡ ضَرࣰّا وَلَا نَفۡعࣰا

کیا پس وہ نہیں دیکھتے کہ وہ انہیں کس بات کا جواب نہیں دیتا اور ان کے نقصان اور نفع کا بھی اسے اختیار نہیں

Did they not see that it could not return to them any speech and that it did not possess for them any harm or benefit?

Afalaa yarawna allaa yarji'u ilaihim qawlanw wa laa yamliku lahum darranw wa laa naf'aa

وَلَقَدۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ هَـٰرُونُ مِن قَبۡلُ یَـٰقَوۡمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِۦۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ فَٱتَّبِعُونِی وَأَطِیعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرِی

اور انہیں ہارون نے اس سے پہلے کہہ دیا تھا اے میری قوم اس سے تمہاری آزمائش کی گئی ہے اور بے شک تمہارا رب رحمان ہے سو میری پیروی کرو اور میرا کہا مانو

And Aaron had already told them before [the return of Moses], "O my people, you are only being tested by it, and indeed, your Lord is the Most Merciful, so follow me and obey my order."

Wa laqad qaala lahum Haaroonu min qablu yaa qawmi innamaa futintum bihee wa inna Rabbakumur Rahmaanu fattabi'oonee wa atee'ooo amree

قَالُوا۟ لَن نَّبۡرَحَ عَلَیۡهِ عَـٰكِفِینَ حَتَّىٰ یَرۡجِعَ إِلَیۡنَا مُوسَىٰ

کہا ہم برابر اسی پر جمے بیٹھے رہیں گے یہاں تک کہ موسیٰ ہمارے پاس لوٹ کر آئے

They said, "We will never cease being devoted to the calf until Moses returns to us."

Qaaloo lan nabraha 'alaihi 'aakifeena hattaa yarji'a ilainaa Moosaa

قَالَ یَـٰهَـٰرُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذۡ رَأَیۡتَهُمۡ ضَلُّوۤا۟

کہا اے ہارون تمہیں کس چیز نے روکا جب تم نے دیکھا تھا کہ وہ گمراہ ہو گئے ہیں

[Moses] said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray,

Qaala Yaa Haaroonu maa mana 'aka iz ra aitahum dallooo

أَلَّا تَتَّبِعَنِۖ أَفَعَصَیۡتَ أَمۡرِی

تو میرے پیچھے نہ آیا کیا تو نے بھی میری حکم عدولی کی

From following me? Then have you disobeyed my order?"

Allaa tattabi'ani afa'asaita amree

قَالَ یَبۡنَؤُمَّ لَا تَأۡخُذۡ بِلِحۡیَتِی وَلَا بِرَأۡسِیۤۖ إِنِّی خَشِیتُ أَن تَقُولَ فَرَّقۡتَ بَیۡنَ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰ⁠ۤءِیلَ وَلَمۡ تَرۡقُبۡ قَوۡلِی

کہا اے میری ماں کے بیٹے میری داڑھی اور اور سر نہ پکڑ بیشک میں ڈرا اس سے کہ تو کہے گا تو نے بنی اسرائیل میں پھوٹ ڈال دی اور میرے فیصلہ کا انتظار نہ کیا

[Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, do not seize [me] by my beard or by my head. Indeed, I feared that you would say, 'You caused division among the Children of Israel, and you did not observe [or await] my word.' "

Qaala yabna'umma laa taakhuz bilihyatee wa laa biraasee innee khashetu an taqoola farraqta baina Baneee Israaa'eela wa lam tarqub qawlee

قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكَ یَـٰسَـٰمِرِیُّ

کہا اے سامری تیرا کیا معاملہ ہے

[Moses] said, "And what is your case, O Samiri?"

Qaala famaa khatbuka yaa Saamiriyy

قَالَ بَصُرۡتُ بِمَا لَمۡ یَبۡصُرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَقَبَضۡتُ قَبۡضَةࣰ مِّنۡ أَثَرِ ٱلرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذۡتُهَا وَكَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ سَوَّلَتۡ لِی نَفۡسِی

کہا میں نے وہ چیز دیکھی تھی جو دوسروں نے نہ دیکھی پھر میں نے رسول کے نقشِ قدم کی ایک مٹھی مٹی میں لے کر ڈال دی اور میرے دل نے مجھے ایسی ہی بات سوجھائی

He said, "I saw what they did not see, so I took a handful [of dust] from the track of the messenger and threw it, and thus did my soul entice me."

Qaala basurtu bimaa lam yabsuroo bihee faqabadtu qabdatam min asarir Rasooli fanabaztuhaa wa kazaalika sawwalat lee nafsee

قَالَ فَٱذۡهَبۡ فَإِنَّ لَكَ فِی ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ أَن تَقُولَ لَا مِسَاسَۖ وَإِنَّ لَكَ مَوۡعِدࣰا لَّن تُخۡلَفَهُۥۖ وَٱنظُرۡ إِلَىٰۤ إِلَـٰهِكَ ٱلَّذِی ظَلۡتَ عَلَیۡهِ عَاكِفࣰاۖ لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُۥ فِی ٱلۡیَمِّ نَسۡفًا

کہا بس چلا جا تیرے لیے زندگی میں یہ سزا ہے کہ توکہے گا ہاتھ نہ لگانا اورتیرے لیے ایک وعدہ ہے جو تجھ سے ٹلنے والا نہیں اور تو اپنے معبود کو دیکھ جس پر تو جما بیٹھا تھا ہم اسے ضرور جلا دیں گے پھر اسے دریا میں بکھیر کر بہا دیں گے

[Moses] said, "Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'No contact.' And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast.

Qaala fazhab fa inna laka fil hayaati an taqoola laa misaasa wa inna laka maw'idal lan tukhlafahoo wanzur ilaaa ilaahikal lazee zalta 'alaihi 'aakifaa; lanuharriqannnahoo summa lanansifanahoo fil yammi nasfaa

إِنَّمَاۤ إِلَـٰهُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَیۡءٍ عِلۡمࣰا

تمہارا معبود ہی الله ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اس کے علم میں سب چیز سما گئی ہے

Your god is only Allah, except for whom there is no deity. He has encompassed all things in knowledge."

Innamaaa ilaahukkumul laahul lazee laa ilaaha illaa Hoo; wasi'a kulla shai'in ilmaa

كَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَیۡكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَاۤءِ مَا قَدۡ سَبَقَۚ وَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكۡرࣰا

ہم اسی طرح سے تجھے گزشتہ لوگوں کی کچھ خبریں سناتے ہیں اور ہم نے تجھے اپنے ہاں سے ایک نصیحت نامہ دیا ہے

Thus, [O Muhammad], We relate to you from the news of what has preceded. And We have certainly given you from Us the Qur'an.

Kazaalika naqussu 'alaika min ambaaa'i maa qad sabaq; wa qad aatainaaka mil ladunnaa Zikraa

مَّنۡ أَعۡرَضَ عَنۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ یَحۡمِلُ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ وِزۡرًا

جس نے اس سے منہ پھیرا سو وہ قیامت کے دن بوجھ اٹھائے گا

Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden,

Man a'rada 'anhu, fa innahoo yahmilu Yawmal Qiyaamati wizraa

خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهِۖ وَسَاۤءَ لَهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ حِمۡلࣰا

اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے اوران کے لیے قیامت کے دن بُرا بوجھ ہوگا

[Abiding] eternally therein, and evil it is for them on the Day of Resurrection as a load -

Khaalideena feehi wa saaa'a lahum Yawmal Qiyaamati himlaa

یَوۡمَ یُنفَخُ فِی ٱلصُّورِۚ وَنَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ زُرۡقࣰا

جس دن صور میں پھونکا جائے گا اور ہم اس دن مجرموں کو نیلی آنکھوں والے کر کے جمع کر دیں گے

The Day the Horn will be blown. And We will gather the criminals, that Day, blue-eyed.

Yawma yunfakhu fissoori wa nahshurul mujrimeena Yawma 'izin zurqaa

یَتَخَـٰفَتُونَ بَیۡنَهُمۡ إِن لَّبِثۡتُمۡ إِلَّا عَشۡرࣰا

چپکے چپکے آپس میں باتیں کہتے ہوں گے کہ تم صرف دس دن ٹھیرے ہو

They will murmur among themselves, "You remained not but ten [days in the world]."

Yatakhaafatoona bainahum il labistum illaa 'ashraa

نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا یَقُولُونَ إِذۡ یَقُولُ أَمۡثَلُهُمۡ طَرِیقَةً إِن لَّبِثۡتُمۡ إِلَّا یَوۡمࣰا

ہم خوب جان لیں گے جو کچھ وہ کہیں گے جب ان میں سے بڑا سمجھدار کہے گا کہ تم صرف ایک ہی دن ٹھہرے ہو

We are most knowing of what they say when the best of them in manner will say, "You remained not but one day."

nahnu a'lamu bimaa yaqooloona iz yaqoolu amsaluhum tareeqatan illabistum illaa yawmaa

وَیَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡجِبَالِ فَقُلۡ یَنسِفُهَا رَبِّی نَسۡفࣰا

اور تجھ سے پہاڑوں کا حال پوچھتے ہیں سوکہہ دے میرا رب انہیں بالکل اڑا دے گا

And they ask you about the mountains, so say, "My Lord will blow them away with a blast.

Wa yas'aloonaka 'anil jibaali faqul yansifuhaa Rabbee nasfaa

فَیَذَرُهَا قَاعࣰا صَفۡصَفࣰا

پھر زمین کو چٹیل میدان کر کے چھوڑے گا

And He will leave the earth a level plain;

Fa yazaruhaa qaa'an safsafaa

لَّا تَرَىٰ فِیهَا عِوَجࣰا وَلَاۤ أَمۡتࣰا

تو اس میں کجی اور ٹیلا نہیں دیکھے گا

You will not see therein a depression or an elevation."

Laa taraa feehaa 'iwajanw wa laaa amtaa

یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ یَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلدَّاعِیَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُۥۖ وَخَشَعَتِ ٱلۡأَصۡوَاتُ لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ فَلَا تَسۡمَعُ إِلَّا هَمۡسࣰا

اس دن پکارےنے والے کا اتباع کریں گے اس میں کوئی کجی نہیں ہوگی اور رحمان کے ڈر سے آوازیں دب جائیں گی پھر تو پاؤں کی آہٹ کے سوا کچھ نہیں سنے گا

That Day, everyone will follow [the call of] the Caller [with] no deviation therefrom, and [all] voices will be stilled before the Most Merciful, so you will not hear except a whisper [of footsteps].

Yawma iziny yattabi'oonad daa'iya laa 'iwaja lahoo wa khasha'atil aswaatu lir Rahmaani falaa tasma'u illaa hamsaa

یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لَّا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةُ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَرَضِیَ لَهُۥ قَوۡلࣰا

اس دن سفارش کام نہیں آئے گی مگر جسے رحمان نے اجازت دی اور اس کی بات پسند کی

That Day, no intercession will benefit except [that of] one to whom the Most Merciful has given permission and has accepted his word.

Yawma 'izil laa tanfa'ush shafaa'atu illaa man azina lahur Rahmaanu wa radiya lahoo qawlaa

یَعۡلَمُ مَا بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ وَلَا یُحِیطُونَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمࣰا

وہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ ان کے آگے اور پیچھے ہے اور ان کا علم اسے احاطہ نہیں کر سکتا

Allah knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, but they do not encompass it in knowledge.

Ya'lamu maa bainaa aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa laa yauheetoona bihee 'ilmaa

۞ وَعَنَتِ ٱلۡوُجُوهُ لِلۡحَیِّ ٱلۡقَیُّومِۖ وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَنۡ حَمَلَ ظُلۡمࣰا

اور سب منہ حّی و قیوم کے سامنے جھک جائیں گے اور تحقیق نامراد ہوا جس نے ظلم کا بوجھ اٹھایا

And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. And he will have failed who carries injustice.

Wa 'anatil wujoohu lil Haiiyil Qaiyoomi wa qad khaaba man hamala zulmaa

وَمَن یَعۡمَلۡ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنࣱ فَلَا یَخَافُ ظُلۡمࣰا وَلَا هَضۡمࣰا

اور جو نیک کام کرے گا اور وہ مومن بھی ہو تو اسے ظلم اور حق تلفی کا کوئی خوف نہیں ہو گا

But he who does of righteous deeds while he is a believer - he will neither fear injustice nor deprivation.

Wa mai ya'mal minas saalihaati wa huwa mu'minun falaa yakhaafu zulmanw wa laa hadmaa

وَكَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ قُرۡءَانًا عَرَبِیࣰّا وَصَرَّفۡنَا فِیهِ مِنَ ٱلۡوَعِیدِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَتَّقُونَ أَوۡ یُحۡدِثُ لَهُمۡ ذِكۡرࣰا

اور اسی طرح ہم نے اسے عربی قرآن نازل کیا ہے اور ہم نے اس میں طرح طرح سے ڈرانے کی باتیں سنائیں تاکہ وہ ڈریں یا ان میں سمجھ پیدا کر دے

And thus We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an and have diversified therein the warnings that perhaps they will avoid [sin] or it would cause them remembrance.

Wa kazaalika anzalnaahu Qur-aanan 'Arabiyyanw wa sarrafnaa fee hi minal wa'eedi la'allahum yattaqoona aw yuhdisu lahum zikraa

فَتَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡحَقُّۗ وَلَا تَعۡجَلۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن یُقۡضَىٰۤ إِلَیۡكَ وَحۡیُهُۥۖ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِی عِلۡمࣰا

سو الله بادشاہ حقیقی بلند مرتبے والا ہے اور تو قرآن کے لینے میں جلدی نہ کر جب تک اس کا اترنا پورا نہ ہوجائےاور کہہ اے میرے رب مجھے اور زیادہ علم دے

So high [above all] is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur'an before its revelation is completed to you, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."

Fata'aalal laahul Malikul Haqq; wa laa ta'jal bil Quraani min qabli ai yuqdaaa ilaika wahyuhoo wa qur Rabbi zidnee 'ilmaa

وَلَقَدۡ عَهِدۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰۤ ءَادَمَ مِن قَبۡلُ فَنَسِیَ وَلَمۡ نَجِدۡ لَهُۥ عَزۡمࣰا

اور ہم نے اس سے پہلے آدم سے بھی عہد لیا تھا پھر وہ بھول گیا اور ہم نے اس میں پختگی نہ پائی

And We had already taken a promise from Adam before, but he forgot; and We found not in him determination.

Wa laqad 'ahidnaaa ilaaa Aadama min qablu fanasiya wa lam najid lahoo 'azmaa

وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوۤا۟ إِلَّاۤ إِبۡلِیسَ أَبَىٰ

اور جب ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کرو تو سوائے ابلیس کے سب نے سجدہ کیا اس نے انکار کیا

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except Iblees; he refused.

Wa iz qulnaa lilma laaa'ikatis judoo li Aadama fasajadooo illaaa Iblees; abaa

فَقُلۡنَا یَـٰۤـَٔادَمُ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا عَدُوࣱّ لَّكَ وَلِزَوۡجِكَ فَلَا یُخۡرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ فَتَشۡقَىٰۤ

پھر ہم نے کہا اے آدم بے شک یہ تیرا اور تیری بیوی کا دشمن ہے سو تمہیں جنت سے نہ نکلوا دے پھر تو تکلیف میں پڑ جائے

So We said, "O Adam, indeed this is an enemy to you and to your wife. Then let him not remove you from Paradise so you would suffer.

Faqulnaa yaaa Aadamu inna haazaa 'aduwwul laka wa lizawjika falaa yukhrijan nakumaa minal Jannati fatashqaa

إِنَّ لَكَ أَلَّا تَجُوعَ فِیهَا وَلَا تَعۡرَىٰ

بے شک تو اس میں بھوکا اورننگا نہیں ہوگا

Indeed, it is [promised] for you not to be hungry therein or be unclothed.

Innaa laka allaa tajoo'a feeha wa laa ta'raa

وَأَنَّكَ لَا تَظۡمَؤُا۟ فِیهَا وَلَا تَضۡحَىٰ

اور بے شک تو اس میں نہ پیاسا ہوگا اور نہ تجھے دھوپ لگے گی

And indeed, you will not be thirsty therein or be hot from the sun."

Wa annaka laa tazma'u feehaa wa laa tadhaa

فَوَسۡوَسَ إِلَیۡهِ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ قَالَ یَـٰۤـَٔادَمُ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ وَمُلۡكࣲ لَّا یَبۡلَىٰ

پھر شیطان نے اس کے دل میں خیال ڈالا کہا اے آدم کیا میں تجھے ہمیشگی کا درخت بتاؤں اور ایسی بادشاہی جس میں ضعف نہ آئے

Then Satan whispered to him; he said, "O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and possession that will not deteriorate?"

Fa waswasa ilaihish Shaitaanu qaala yaaa Aadamu hal adulluka 'alaa shajaratil khuldi wa mulkil laa yablaa

فَأَكَلَا مِنۡهَا فَبَدَتۡ لَهُمَا سَوۡءَ ٰ⁠ تُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا یَخۡصِفَانِ عَلَیۡهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۚ وَعَصَىٰۤ ءَادَمُ رَبَّهُۥ فَغَوَىٰ

پھر دونوں نے اس درخت سے کھایا تب ان پر ان کی برہنگی ظاہر ہوگئی اور اپنے اوپر جنت کے پتے چپکانے لگے اور آدم نے اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کی پھر بھٹک گیا

And Adam and his wife ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred.

Fa akalaa minhaa fabadat lahumaa saw aatuhumaa wa tafiqaa yakhsifaani 'alaihimaa minw waraqil jannah; wa 'asaaa Aadamu Rabbahoo faghawaa

ثُمَّ ٱجۡتَبَـٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَتَابَ عَلَیۡهِ وَهَدَىٰ

پھر اس کے رب نے اسے سرفراز کیا پھر اس کی توبہ قبول کی اور راہ دکھائی

Then his Lord chose him and turned to him in forgiveness and guided [him].

Summaj tabbahu Rabbuhoo fataaba 'alaihi wa hadaa

قَالَ ٱهۡبِطَا مِنۡهَا جَمِیعَۢاۖ بَعۡضُكُمۡ لِبَعۡضٍ عَدُوࣱّۖ فَإِمَّا یَأۡتِیَنَّكُم مِّنِّی هُدࣰى فَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ هُدَایَ فَلَا یَضِلُّ وَلَا یَشۡقَىٰ

فرمایا تم دونوں یہاں سے نکل جاؤ تم میں سے ایک دوسرے کا دشمن ہے پھر اگرتمہیں میری طرف سے ہدایت پہنچے پھر جو میری ہدایت پر چلے گا تو گمراہ نہیں ہو گا اور نہ تکلیف اٹھائے گا

[Allah] said, "Descend from Paradise - all, [your descendants] being enemies to one another. And if there should come to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter].

Qaalah bita minhaa jamee'am ba'dukum liba'din 'aduww; fa immaa yaati yannakum minnee hudan famanit taba'a hudaaya falaa yadillu wa laa yashhqaa

وَمَنۡ أَعۡرَضَ عَن ذِكۡرِی فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِیشَةࣰ ضَنكࣰا وَنَحۡشُرُهُۥ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ

اور جو میرے ذکر سے منہ پھیرے گا تو اس کی زندگی بھی تنگ ہوگی اور اسے قیامت کے دن اندھا کر کے اٹھا ئيں گے

And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind."

Wa man a'rada 'an Zikree fa inna lahoo ma'eeshatan dankanw wa nahshuruhoo Yawmal Qiyaamati a'maa

قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرۡتَنِیۤ أَعۡمَىٰ وَقَدۡ كُنتُ بَصِیرࣰا

کہے گا اے میرے رب تو نے مجھے اندھا کر کے کیوں اٹھایا حالانکہ میں بینا تھا

He will say, "My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?"

Qaala Rabbi lima hashar tanee a'maa wa qad kuntu baseeraa

قَالَ كَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ أَتَتۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُنَا فَنَسِیتَهَاۖ وَكَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ تُنسَىٰ

فرمائے گا اسی طرح تیرے پاس ہماری آیتیں پہنچی تھیں پھر تو نے انھیں بھلا دیا تھا اور اسی طرح آج تو بھی بھلایا گیا ہے

[Allah] will say, "Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten."

Qaala kazaalika atatka Aayaatunaa fanaseetahaa wa kazaalikal Yawma tunsaa

وَكَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ نَجۡزِی مَنۡ أَسۡرَفَ وَلَمۡ یُؤۡمِنۢ بِـَٔایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِۦۚ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبۡقَىٰۤ

اور اسی طرح ہم بدلہ دیں گے جو حد سے نکلا اور اپنے رب کی آیتوں پر ایمان نہیں لیا اور البتہ آخرت کا عذاب بڑا سخت اور دیرپا ہے

And thus do We recompense he who transgressed and did not believe in the signs of his Lord. And the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and more enduring.

Wa kazaalika najzee man asrafa wa lam yu'mim bi Aayaati Rabbih; wa la'azaabul Aakhirati ashaddu wa abqaa

أَفَلَمۡ یَهۡدِ لَهُمۡ كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ یَمۡشُونَ فِی مَسَـٰكِنِهِمۡۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَـَٔایَـٰتࣲ لِّأُو۟لِی ٱلنُّهَىٰ

سو کیا انہیں اس بات سے بھی سمجھ نہیں آئی کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے کئی جماعتیں ہلاک کر دی ہیں یہ لوگ ان کی جگہوں پر پھرتے ہیں بیشک اس میں عقل والوں کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں

Then, has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence.

Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlaknaa qablahum minal qurooni yamshoona fee masaakinihim; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil li ulinnuhaa

وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةࣱ سَبَقَتۡ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامࣰا وَأَجَلࣱ مُّسَمࣰّى

اور اگر تیرے رب کی طرف سے ایک بات پہلے طے شدہ نہ ہوتی اور معیاد معین نہ ہوتی تو عذاب لازمی طور پر ہوتا

And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, punishment would have been an obligation [due immediately], and [if not for] a specified term [decreed].

Wa law laa Kalimatun sabaqat mir Rabbika lakaana lizaamanw wa ajalum musammaa

فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا یَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ قَبۡلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَقَبۡلَ غُرُوبِهَاۖ وَمِنۡ ءَانَاۤىِٕ ٱلَّیۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡ وَأَطۡرَافَ ٱلنَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرۡضَىٰ

پس صبر کر اس پر جو کہتے ہیں اور سورج کے نکلنے اور ڈوبنے سے پہلے اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ تسبیح بیان کر اور رات کی کچھ گھڑیوں میں اور دن کے اول اور آخر میں تسبیح کر تاکہ تجھے خوشی حاصل ہو

So be patient over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied.

Fasbir 'alaa maa yaqooloona wa sabbih bihamdi Rabbika qabla tuloo'ish shamsi wa qabla ghuroobihaa wa min aanaaa'il laili fasbbih wa atraafan nahaari la 'allaka tardaa

وَلَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَیۡنَیۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦۤ أَزۡوَ ٰ⁠جࣰا مِّنۡهُمۡ زَهۡرَةَ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا لِنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِیهِۚ وَرِزۡقُ رَبِّكَ خَیۡرࣱ وَأَبۡقَىٰ

اور تو اپنی نظر ان چیزو ں کی طرف نہ دوڑا جو ہم نے مختلف قسم کے لوگوں کو دنیاوی زندگی کی رونق کے سامان دے رکھے ہیں تاکہ ہم انہیں اس میں آزمائیں او رتیرے رب کا رزق بہتر اور دیرپا ہے

And do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [some] categories of them, [its being but] the splendor of worldly life by which We test them. And the provision of your Lord is better and more enduring.

Wa laa tamuddanna 'ainaika ilaa ma matta'na biheee azwajam minhum zahratal hayaatid dunya linaftinahum feeh; wa rizqu Rabbika khairunw wa abqaa

وَأۡمُرۡ أَهۡلَكَ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ عَلَیۡهَاۖ لَا نَسۡـَٔلُكَ رِزۡقࣰاۖ نَّحۡنُ نَرۡزُقُكَۗ وَٱلۡعَـٰقِبَةُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰ

اور اپنے گھر والو ں کو نماز کا حکم کر اور خود بھی اس پر قائم رہ ہم تجھ سے روزی نہیں مانگتے ہم تجھے روزی دیتے ہیں اور پرہیزگاری کا انجام اچھا ہے

And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness.

Waamur ahlaka bis Salaati wastabir 'alaihaa la nas'aluka rizqaa; nahnu narzuquk; wal 'aaqibatu littaqwaa

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوۡلَا یَأۡتِینَا بِـَٔایَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۤۚ أَوَلَمۡ تَأۡتِهِم بَیِّنَةُ مَا فِی ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

اور لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ ہمارے پاس اپنے رب سے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں لے آتا کیا ان کے پاس پہلی کتابوں کی شہادت نہیں پہنچی

And they say, "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has there not come to them evidence of what was in the former scriptures?

Wa qaaloo law laa yaateenaa bi Aayatim mmir Rabbih; awalam taatihim baiyinatu maa fis suhufil oolaa

وَلَوۡ أَنَّاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُم بِعَذَابࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ لَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا لَوۡلَاۤ أَرۡسَلۡتَ إِلَیۡنَا رَسُولࣰا فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَایَـٰتِكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخۡزَىٰ

اور اگر ہم انہیں اس سے پہلے کسی عذاب سے ہلاک کر دیتے تو کہتے اے ہمارے رب تو نے ہمارے پاس کوئی رسول کیوں نہ بھیجا تاکہ ہم ذلیل و خوار ہونے سے پہلے تیرے حکموں پر چلتے

And if We had destroyed them with a punishment before him, they would have said, "Our Lord, why did You not send to us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and disgraced?"

Wa law annaaa ahlaknaahum bi'azaabim min qablihee laqaaloo Rabbanaa law laaa arsalta ilainaa Rasoolan fanattabi's Aayaatika min qabli an nazilla wa nakhzaa

قُلۡ كُلࣱّ مُّتَرَبِّصࣱ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ۖ فَسَتَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلصِّرَ ٰ⁠طِ ٱلسَّوِیِّ وَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ

کہہ دو ہر ایک انتظار کرنے والا ہے سو تم بھی انتظار کرو آئندہ تمہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ سیدھی راہ پر کون ہے اور ہدایت پانے والا کون ہے

Say, "Each [of us] is waiting; so wait. For you will know who are the companions of the sound path and who is guided."

Qul kullum mutarabbisun fatarabbasoo fasta'lamoona man Ashaabus Siraatis Sawiyyi wa manih tadaa
