قۤۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ٱلۡمَجِیدِ

قۤ۔ اس قرآن کی قسم جو بڑا شان والا ہے

Qaf. By the honored Qur'an...

Qaaaf; wal Qur aanil Majeed

بَلۡ عَجِبُوۤا۟ أَن جَاۤءَهُم مُّنذِرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَقَالَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ هَـٰذَا شَیۡءٌ عَجِیبٌ

بلکہ وہ تعجب کرتے ہیں کہ ان کے پاس انہیں میں سے ایک ڈرانے والا آیا پس کافرو ں نے کہا کہ یہ تو ایک عجیب بات ہے

But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.

Bal 'ajibooo an jaa'ahum munzirum minhum faqaalal kaafiroona haazaa shai'un 'ajeeb

أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰاۖ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ رَجۡعُۢ بَعِیدࣱ

کیا جب ہم مرجائیں گے اورمٹی ہو جائیں گے یہ دوبارہ زندگی بعید از قیاس ہے

When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."

'A-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaaban zaalika raj'um ba'eed

قَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَـٰبٌ حَفِیظُۢ

ہمیں معلوم ہے جو زمین ان میں سے کم کرتی ہے اور ہمارے پاس ایک کتاب ہے جس میں سب کھچ محفوظ ہے

We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record.

Qad 'alimnaa maa tanqu-sul-ardu minhum wa 'indanaa Kitaabun Hafeez

بَلۡ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِیۤ أَمۡرࣲ مَّرِیجٍ

بلکہ انہوں نے حق کو جھٹلایا جب کہ وہ ان کے پاس آیا پس وہ ایک الجھی ہوئی بات میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں

But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.

Bal kazzaboo bilhaqqi lammaa jaaa'ahum fahum feee amrim mareej

أَفَلَمۡ یَنظُرُوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَیۡفَ بَنَیۡنَـٰهَا وَزَیَّنَّـٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجࣲ

پس کیا انہوں نے غور سے اپنے اوپر آسمان کو نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے کس طرح اسے بنایا اور آراستہ کیا ہے اور اس میں کوئی بھی شگاف نہیں

Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?

Afalam yanzurooo ilas samaaa'i fawqahum kaifa banainaahaa wa zaiyannaahaa wa maa lahaa min furooj

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَـٰهَا وَأَلۡقَیۡنَا فِیهَا رَوَ ٰ⁠سِیَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِیجࣲ

اور ہم نے زمین کو بچھا دیا اوراس میں مضبوط ڈال دیے اور اس میں ہر قسم کی خوشنما چیزیں اگائیں

And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,

Wal arda madadnaahaa wa alqainaa feehaa rawaasiya wa ambatnaa feehaa min kulli zawjim baheej

تَبۡصِرَةࣰ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبۡدࣲ مُّنِیبࣲ

ہر رجوع کرے والے بندے کے لیے بصیرت اور نصیحت ہے

Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].

Tabsiratanw wa zikraa likulli 'abdim muneeb

وَنَزَّلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ مُّبَـٰرَكࣰا فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَحَبَّ ٱلۡحَصِیدِ

اور ہم نے آسمان سے برکت والا پانی اتارا پھر ہم پھر ہم نے اس کے ذریعے سے باغ اگائے اور اناج جن کے کھیت کاٹے جاتے ہیں

And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest

Wa nazzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'am mubaarakan fa ambatnaa bihee jannaatinw wa habbal haseed

وَٱلنَّخۡلَ بَاسِقَـٰتࣲ لَّهَا طَلۡعࣱ نَّضِیدࣱ

او رلمبی لمبی کھجوریں جن کے خوشے تہہ بہ تہہ ہیں

And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -

Wannakhla baasiqaatil laha tal'un nadeed

رِّزۡقࣰا لِّلۡعِبَادِۖ وَأَحۡیَیۡنَا بِهِۦ بَلۡدَةࣰ مَّیۡتࣰاۚ كَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ ٱلۡخُرُوجُ

بندوں کے لیے روزی اورہم نے اس سے ایک مردہ بستی کو زندہ کیا دوبارہ نکلنا اس طرح ہے

As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection.

Rizqal lil'ibaad, wa ahyainaa bihee baldatam maitaa; kazaalikal khurooj

كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحࣲ وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ

ان سے پہلے قوم نوح اور کنوئیں والوں نے اور قوم ثمود نے جھٹلایا

The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud

Kazzabat qablahum qawmu Noohinw wa Ashaabur Rassi wa Samood

وَعَادࣱ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ وَإِخۡوَ ٰ⁠نُ لُوطࣲ

اور قوم عاد اور فرعون اور قوم لوط نے

And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot

Wa 'Aadunw wa Fir'awnu wikhwaanu loot

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡأَیۡكَةِ وَقَوۡمُ تُبَّعࣲۚ كُلࣱّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِیدِ

اور بن والو ں اور قوم تبعّ نے ہر ایک نےرسولوں کو جھٹلایا تو ہمارا وعدہ عذاب ثابت ہوا

And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.

Wa Ashaabul Aykati wa qawmu Tubba'; kullun kazzabar Rusula fahaqqa wa'eed

أَفَعَیِینَا بِٱلۡخَلۡقِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِی لَبۡسࣲ مِّنۡ خَلۡقࣲ جَدِیدࣲ

کی ہم پہلی بار پیدا کرنے میں تھک گئے ہیں (نہیں) بلکہ وہ از سرِ نو پیدا کرنے کے متعلق شک میں ہیں

Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.

Afa'a yeenaa bilkhalqil awwal; bal hum fee labsim min khalqin jadeed

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ وَنَعۡلَمُ مَا تُوَسۡوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفۡسُهُۥۖ وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَیۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِیدِ

اور بے شک ہم نے انسان کو پیدا کیا اور ہم جانتے ہیں جو وسوسہ اس کے دل میں گزرتا ہے اور ہم اس سے اس کی رگ گلو سے بھی زیادہ قریب ہیں

And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein

Wa laqad khalaqnal insaana wa na'lamu maa tuwaswisu bihee nafsuhoo wa Nahnu aqrabu ilaihi min hablil wareed

إِذۡ یَتَلَقَّى ٱلۡمُتَلَقِّیَانِ عَنِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِیدࣱ

جب کہ ضبط کرنے والے دایں اوربائیں بیٹھیں ہوئے ضبط کرتے جاتے ہیں

When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.

'Iz yatalaqqal mutalaqqi yaani 'anil yameeni wa 'anish shimaali qa'eed

مَّا یَلۡفِظُ مِن قَوۡلٍ إِلَّا لَدَیۡهِ رَقِیبٌ عَتِیدࣱ

وہ منہ سے کوئی بات نہیں نکالتا مگراس کے پاس ایک ہوشیار محافظ ہوتا ہے

Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].

Maa yalfizu min qawlin illaa ladaihi raqeebun 'ateed

وَجَاۤءَتۡ سَكۡرَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنۡهُ تَحِیدُ

اور موت کی بے ہوشی تو ضرور آ کر رہے گی یہی ہے وہ جس سے تو گریز کرتا تھا

And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.

Wajaat sakratu almawti bialhaqqi thalika ma kunta minhu taheedu

وَنُفِخَ فِی ٱلصُّورِۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ یَوۡمُ ٱلۡوَعِیدِ

اور صور میں پھونکا جائے گا وعدہ عذاب کا دن یہی ہے

And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.

Wa nufikha fis Soor; zaalika yawmul wa'eed

وَجَاۤءَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ مَّعَهَا سَاۤىِٕقࣱ وَشَهِیدࣱ

اور ہر ایک شخص آئے گا اس کے ساتھ ایک ہانکنے والا اورایک گواہی دینے والا ہوگا

And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.

Wa jaaa'at kullu nafsim ma'ahaa saaa'iqunw wa shaheed

لَّقَدۡ كُنتَ فِی غَفۡلَةࣲ مِّنۡ هَـٰذَا فَكَشَفۡنَا عَنكَ غِطَاۤءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ حَدِیدࣱ

بے شک تو تو اس دن سے غفلت میں رہا پس ہم نے تجھ سے تیرا پردہ دور کر دیا پس تیری نگاہ آج بڑی تیز ہے

[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."

Laqad kunta fee ghaf latim min haazaa fakashafnaa 'anka ghitaaa'aka fabasarukal yawma hadeed

وَقَالَ قَرِینُهُۥ هَـٰذَا مَا لَدَیَّ عَتِیدٌ

اور اس کا ساتھی کہے گا یہ ہے جو میرے پاس تیار ہے (حکم ہوگ)

And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."

Wa qaala qareenuhoo haazaa maa ladaiya 'ateed

أَلۡقِیَا فِی جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِیدࣲ

تم دونوں ہر کافر سرکش کو دوزخ میں ڈال دو

[Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,

Alqiyaa fee Jahannama kulla kaffaarin 'aneed

مَّنَّاعࣲ لِّلۡخَیۡرِ مُعۡتَدࣲ مُّرِیبٍ

جو نیکی سےروکنے والا حد سےبڑھنے والا شک کرنے والا ہے

Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,

Mannaa'il lilkhayri mu'tadim mureeb

ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلۡقِیَاهُ فِی ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِیدِ

جس نے الله کے ساتھ کوئی دوسرا معبود ٹھیرایا پس اسے سخت عذاب میں ڈال دو

Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment."

Allazee ja'ala ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara fa alqiyaahu fil'azaabish shadeed

۞ قَالَ قَرِینُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَاۤ أَطۡغَیۡتُهُۥ وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ فِی ضَلَـٰلِۭ بَعِیدࣲ

اس کا ہم نشین کہے گا اے ہمارے رب میں نے اسے گمراہ نہیں کیا تھا بلکہ وہ خود ہی بڑی گمراہی میں پڑا ہوا تھا

His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."

Qaala qareenuhoo Rabbanaa maaa atghaituhoo wa laakin kaana fee dalaahim ba'eed

قَالَ لَا تَخۡتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَیَّ وَقَدۡ قَدَّمۡتُ إِلَیۡكُم بِٱلۡوَعِیدِ

فرمائے گا تم میرے پاس مت جھگڑو اور میں تو پہلے تمہاری طرف اپنے عذاب کا وعدہ بھیج چکا تھا

[Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning.

Qaala laa takhtasimoo ladaayya wa qad qaddamtu ilaikum bilwa'eed

مَا یُبَدَّلُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ لَدَیَّ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّـٰمࣲ لِّلۡعَبِیدِ

میرے ہاں کی بات بدلی نہیں جاتی اور نہ ہی بندو ں کے لیے ظالم ہوں

The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."

Maa yubaddalul qawlu ladaiya wa maaa ana bizal laamil lil'abeed

یَوۡمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمۡتَلَأۡتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلۡ مِن مَّزِیدࣲ

جس دن ہم جہنم سے کہیں گے کیا تو بھر چکی اوروہ کہے گی کیا کچھ اوربھی ہے

On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"

Yawma naqoolu li'jahannama halim talaati wa taqoolu hal mim mazeed

وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ غَیۡرَ بَعِیدٍ

اوربہشت پرہیزگاروں کے لیے قریب لائی جائے گی کہ کچھ فاصلہ نہ ہوگا

And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,

Wa uzlifatil jannatu lil muttaqeena ghaira ba'eed

هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِیظࣲ

یہی ہے جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا تھا ہر رجوع کرنے والے اور حفاظت کرنے والے کے لیے

[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant]

Haaza maa too'adoona likulli awwaabin hafeez

مَّنۡ خَشِیَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنَ بِٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَجَاۤءَ بِقَلۡبࣲ مُّنِیبٍ

جو کوئی الله سے بن دیکھے ڈرا اور رجوع کرنے والا دل لے کر آیا

Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].

Man khashiyar Rahmaana bilghaibi wa jaaa'a biqalbim muneeb

ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمࣲۖ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ یَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُلُودِ

اس میں سلامتی سے داخل ہو جاؤ ہمیشہ رہنے کا دن یہی ہے

Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."

Udkhuloohaa bisalaamin zaalika yawmul khulood

لَهُم مَّا یَشَاۤءُونَ فِیهَا وَلَدَیۡنَا مَزِیدࣱ

انہیں جو کچھ وہ چاہیں گے وہاں ملے گا اور ہمارے پاس اوربھی زیادہ ہے

They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.

Lahum maa yashaaa'oona feehaa wa ladainaa mazeed

وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشࣰا فَنَقَّبُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡبِلَـٰدِ هَلۡ مِن مَّحِیصٍ

اور ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی قومیں ہلاک کر دیں جو قوت میں ان سے بڑھ کر تھیں پھر (عذاب کے وقت) شہرو ں میں دوڑتے پھرنے لگے کہ کوئی پناہ کی جگہ بھی ہے

And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?

Wa kam ahlaknaa qablahum min qarnin hum ashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fil bilaad, hal mim mahees

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَذِكۡرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلۡبٌ أَوۡ أَلۡقَى ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَهُوَ شَهِیدࣱ

بے شک اس میں شخص کے لیے بڑی عبرت ہے جس کے پاس (فہیم) دل ہو یا وہ متوجہ ہو کر (بات کی طرف) کان ہی لگا دیتا ہو

Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].

Inna fee zaalika lazikraa liman kaana lahoo qalbun aw alqas sam'a wa huwa shaheed

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا فِی سِتَّةِ أَیَّامࣲ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبࣲ

اور بے شک ہم نےآسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا اورجو کچھ ان کے درمیان میں ہے چھ دن میں اور ہمیں کچھ بھی تکان نہ ہوئی

And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.

Wa laqad khalaqnas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati ayyaamin wa maa massanaa mil lughoob

فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا یَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ قَبۡلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَقَبۡلَ ٱلۡغُرُوبِ

پس ان باتوں پر صبر کر جو وہ کہتے ہیں اور اپنے رب کی پاکیزگی بیان کر تعریف کے ساتھ دن نکلنے سے پہلے اور دن چھپنے سے پہلے

So be patient, [O Muhammad], over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,

Fasbir 'alaa maa yaqooloona wa sabbih bihamdi Rabbika qabla tuloo'ish shamsi wa qablal ghuroob

وَمِنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَأَدۡبَـٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ

اورکچھ رات میں بھی اس کی تسبیح کر اور نماز کے بعد بھی

And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration.

Wa minal laili fasabbih hu wa adbaaras sujood

وَٱسۡتَمِعۡ یَوۡمَ یُنَادِ ٱلۡمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانࣲ قَرِیبࣲ

اور توجہ سے سنیئے جس دن پکارنے والا پاس سے پکارے گا

And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near -

Wastami' yawma yunaa dil munaadi mim makaanin qareeb

یَوۡمَ یَسۡمَعُونَ ٱلصَّیۡحَةَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ یَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُرُوجِ

جس دن وہ ایک چیخ کو بخوبی سنیں گے یہ دن قبروں سے نکلنے کا ہوگا

The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].

Yawma yasmaoonas sai hata bilhaqq zaalika yawmul khurooj

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡیِۦ وَنُمِیتُ وَإِلَیۡنَا ٱلۡمَصِیرُ

بے شک ہم ہی زندہ کرتے اورمارتے ہیں اورہماری طرف ہی لوٹ کر آنا ہے

Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination

Innaa Nahnu nuhyee wa numeetu wa ilainal maseer

یَوۡمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ عَنۡهُمۡ سِرَاعࣰاۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ حَشۡرٌ عَلَیۡنَا یَسِیرࣱ

جس دن ان پر سے زمین پھٹ جائے گی لوگ دوڑتے ہوئے نکل آئيں گے یہ لوگو ں کا جمع کرنا ہمیں بہت آسان ہے

On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.

Yawma tashaqqaqul ardu 'anhum siraa'aa; zaalika hashrun 'alainaa yaseer

نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا یَقُولُونَۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ عَلَیۡهِم بِجَبَّارࣲۖ فَذَكِّرۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَن یَخَافُ وَعِیدِ

ہم جانتے ہیں جو کچھ وہ کہتے ہیں اور آپ ا ن پر کچھ زبردستی کرنے والے نہیں پھر آپ قرآن سے اس کو نصیحت کیجیئے جو میرے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہو

We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat.

Nahnu a'lamu bimaa yaqooloona wa maaa anta 'alihim bijabbaarin fazakkir bil quraani many yakhaafu wa'eed
