Surah Lail with Urdu & English Translation and Audio - سورۃ اللیل

وَٱلَّیۡلِ إِذَا یَغۡشَىٰ

رات کی قسم ہے جب کہ وہ چھاجائے

By the night when it covers

Wallaili izaa yaghshaa

وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ

اور دن کی جبکہ وہ روشن ہو

And [by] the day when it appears

Wannahaari izaa tajalla

وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۤ

اوراس کی قسم کہ جس نے نر و مادہ کوبنایا

And [by] He who created the male and female,

Wa maa khalaqaz zakara wal unthaa

إِنَّ سَعۡیَكُمۡ لَشَتَّىٰ

بے شک تمہاری کوشش مختلف ہے

Indeed, your efforts are diverse.

Inna sa'yakum lashattaa

فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أَعۡطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ

پھر جس نے دیا اور پرہیز گاری کی

As for he who gives and fears Allah

Fa ammaa man a'taa wattaqaa

وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ

اورنیک بات کی تصدیق کی

And believes in the best [reward],

Wa saddaqa bil husnaa

فَسَنُیَسِّرُهُۥ لِلۡیُسۡرَىٰ

تو ہم اس کے لیے جنت کی راہیں آسان کر دیں گے

We will ease him toward ease.

Fasanu yassiruhoo lilyusraa

وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰ

اورلیکن جس نے بخل کیا اوربے پرواہ رہا

But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need

Wa ammaa mam bakhila wastaghnaa

وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ

اور نیک بات کو جھٹلایا

And denies the best [reward],

Wa kazzaba bil husnaa

فَسَنُیَسِّرُهُۥ لِلۡعُسۡرَىٰ

تو ہم اس کے لیے جہنم کی راہیں آسان کر دیں گے

We will ease him toward difficulty.

Fasanu yassiruhoo lil'usraa

وَمَا یُغۡنِی عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥۤ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰۤ

اوراس کا مال اس کے کچھ بھی کام نہ آئے گا جب کہ وہ گھڑے میں گرے گا

And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?

Wa maa yughnee 'anhu maaluhooo izaa taraddaa

إِنَّ عَلَیۡنَا لَلۡهُدَىٰ

بے شک ہمارے ذمے راہ دکھانا ہے

Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.

Inna 'alainaa lal hudaa

وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلۡـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰ

اور بے شک ہمارے ہی ہاتھ میں آخرت بھی اور دنیا بھی ہے

And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].

Wa inna lanaa lal Aakhirata wal oolaa

فَأَنذَرۡتُكُمۡ نَارࣰا تَلَظَّىٰ

پس میں نے تمہیں بڑھکتی ہوئی آگ سے ڈرایا ہے

So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing.

Fa anzartukum naaran talazzaa

لَا یَصۡلَىٰهَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى

جس میں صرف وہی بد بخت داخل ہوگا

None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one.

Laa yaslaahaaa illal ashqaa

ٱلَّذِی كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

جس نے جھٹلایا اورمنہ موڑا

Who had denied and turned away.

Allazee kazzaba wa tawallaa

وَسَیُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَتۡقَى

اوراس آگ سے وہ بڑا پرہیز گار دور رہے گا

But the righteous one will avoid it -

Wa sa yujannnabuhal atqaa

ٱلَّذِی یُؤۡتِی مَالَهُۥ یَتَزَكَّىٰ

جو اپنا مال دیتا ہے تاکہ وہ پاک ہو جائے

[He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself

Allazee yu'tee maalahoo yatazakkaa

وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعۡمَةࣲ تُجۡزَىٰۤ

اور اس پر کسی کا کوئی احسان نہیں کہ جس کا بدلہ دیا جائے

And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded

Wa maa li ahadin 'indahoo min ni'matin tujzaaa

إِلَّا ٱبۡتِغَاۤءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ

وہ تو صرف اپنے سب سے برتر رب کی رضا مندی کے لیے دیتا ہے

But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High.

Illab tighaaa'a wajhi rabbihil a 'laa

وَلَسَوۡفَ یَرۡضَىٰ

اوروہ عنقریب خوش ہو جائے گا

And he is going to be satisfied.

Wa lasawfa yardaa
