Surah Naml with Urdu & English Translation and Audio - سورۃ النمل

طسۤۚ تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ وَكِتَابࣲ مُّبِینٍ

طسۤ یہ آیتیں قرآن کی اور کتاب روشن کی ہیں

Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book

Taa-Seeen; tilka Aayaatul Qur-aani wa Kitaabim Mubeen

هُدࣰى وَبُشۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ

ایمان داورں کے لیے ہدایت اور خوشخبری ہے

As guidance and good tidings for the believers

Hudanw wa bushraa lil mu'mineen

ٱلَّذِینَ یُقِیمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَیُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمۡ یُوقِنُونَ

جو نماز ادا کرتے ہیں اور زکوةٰ دیتے ہیں اور وہ آخرت پر یقین رکھتے ہیں

Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].

Allazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil Aakhirati hum yooqinoon

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ زَیَّنَّا لَهُمۡ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ یَعۡمَهُونَ

البتہ جو لوگ آخرت پر ایمان نہیں رکھتے ہم نےان کے اعمال ان کے لیے اچھے کر دکھائے ہیں پس وہ سرگرداں پھرتے ہیں

Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly.

Innal lazeena laa yu'mimoona bil Aakhirati zaiyannaa lahum a'maalahum fahum ya'mahoon

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَهُمۡ سُوۤءُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ وَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ

وہی ہیں جنہیں برا عذاب ہونا ہے اور وہ آخرت میں بڑے ہی خسارہ میں ہوں گے

Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers.

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena lahum sooo'ul 'azaabi wa hum fil Aakhirati humul akhsaroon

وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ مِن لَّدُنۡ حَكِیمٍ عَلِیمٍ

اور تجھے بڑے حکمت والے علم والے کی طرف سے قرآن دیاجارہا ہے

And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing.

Wa innaka latulaqqal Qur-aana mil ladun Hakeemin 'Aleem

إِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهۡلِهِۦۤ إِنِّیۤ ءَانَسۡتُ نَارࣰا سَـَٔاتِیكُم مِّنۡهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوۡ ءَاتِیكُم بِشِهَابࣲ قَبَسࣲ لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَصۡطَلُونَ

جب موسیٰ نے اپنے گھر والوں سے کہا کہ میں نے آگ دیکھی ہے میں ابھی وہاں سے تمہارے پاس کوئی خبر لاتا ہوں یا کوئی انگارا سلگا کر لاتا ہوں تاکہ تم سینکو

[Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves."

Iz qaala Moosaa li ahliheee inneee aanastu naaran saaateekum minhaa bikhabarin aw aateekum bishihaabin qabasil la'allakum tastaloon

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهَا نُودِیَ أَنۢ بُورِكَ مَن فِی ٱلنَّارِ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهَا وَسُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ

پھر جب موسیٰ وہاں آئے تو آواز آئی کہ جو آگ میں اور اس کے پاس ہے وہ با برکت ہے اور الله پاک ہے جو تمام جہان کا رب ہے

But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds.

Falammaa jaaa'ahaa noodiya am boorika man finnnnaari wa man hawlahaa wa Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'aalameen

یَـٰمُوسَىٰۤ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ

اے موسیٰ وہ میں الله ہوں زبردست حکمت والا

O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

Yaa Moosaaa innahooo Anal laahul 'Azeezul Hakeem

وَأَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهۡتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَاۤنࣱّ وَلَّىٰ مُدۡبِرࣰا وَلَمۡ یُعَقِّبۡۚ یَـٰمُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفۡ إِنِّی لَا یَخَافُ لَدَیَّ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

اور اپنی لاٹھی ڈال دے پھر جب اسے دیکھا کہ وہ سانپ کی طرح چل رہی ہے تو پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگا اورپیچھے مڑ کر نہ دیکھا اے موسیٰ ڈرو مت کیونکہ میرے حضور میں رسول ڈرا نہیں کرتے

And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear.

Wa alqi 'asaak; falammmaa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu'aqqib; yaa Moosaa laa takhaf innee laa yakhaafu ladaiyal mursaloon

إِلَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسۡنَۢا بَعۡدَ سُوۤءࣲ فَإِنِّی غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ

مگر جس نے ظلم کیا پھر برائی کے بعد اسے نیکی سے بدل دیا ہوتو میں بخشنے والا مہربان ہوں

Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful.

Illaa man zalama summa baddala husnam ba'da sooo'in fa innee Ghafoorur Raheem

وَأَدۡخِلۡ یَدَكَ فِی جَیۡبِكَ تَخۡرُجۡ بَیۡضَاۤءَ مِنۡ غَیۡرِ سُوۤءࣲۖ فِی تِسۡعِ ءَایَـٰتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَقَوۡمِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَوۡمࣰا فَـٰسِقِینَ

اور اپنا ہاتھ اپنےگریبان میں ڈال دے وہ سفید بے عیب نکلے گا یہ دونوں ملا کر نونشانیاں فرعون اور اس کی قوم کی طرف لے کرجا کیونکہ وہ بدکار لوگ ہیں

And put your hand into the opening of your garment [at the breast]; it will come out white without disease. [These are] among the nine signs [you will take] to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient."

Wa adkhil yadaka fee jaibika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairisooo'in feetis'i Aayaatin ilaa Fir'awna wa qawmih; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ ءَایَـٰتُنَا مُبۡصِرَةࣰ قَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ

پھر جب ان کے پاس آنکھیں کھولنے والی ہماری نشانیاں آئیں تو کہنے لگے یہ تو صاف جادو ہے

But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic."

Falammaa jaaa'at hum Aayaatunaa mubsiratan qaaloo haazaa sihrum mubeen

وَجَحَدُوا۟ بِهَا وَٱسۡتَیۡقَنَتۡهَاۤ أَنفُسُهُمۡ ظُلۡمࣰا وَعُلُوࣰّاۚ فَٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِینَ

اور انہوں نے انکا ظلم اور تکبر سے انکار کرد یا حالانکہ ان کے دل یقین کر چکے تھے پھر دیکھ مفسدوں کا انجام کیسا ہوا

And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters.

Wa jahadoo bihaa wastaiqanat haaa anfusuhum zulmanw-wa 'uluwwaa; fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mufsideen

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَیۡمَـٰنَ عِلۡمࣰاۖ وَقَالَا ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِی فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِیرࣲ مِّنۡ عِبَادِهِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ

اور ہم نے داؤد اور سلیمان کو علم دیا اور کہنے لگے الله کا شکر ہے جس نے ہمیں بہت سے ایمان دار بندوں پر فضیلت دی

And We had certainly given to David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise [is due] to Allah, who has favored us over many of His believing servants."

Wa laqad aatainaa Daawooda wa sulaimaana 'ilmaa; wa qaalal hamdu lil laahil lazee faddalanaa 'alaa kaseerim min 'ibaadihil mu'mineen

وَوَرِثَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنُ دَاوُۥدَۖ وَقَالَ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمۡنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّیۡرِ وَأُوتِینَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡءٍۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡفَضۡلُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ

اور سلیمان داؤد کا وارث ہوا اور کہا اے لوگو ہمیں پرندوں کی بولی سکھائی گئی ہے او رہمیں ہر قسم کے سازو سامان دیے گئے ہیں بے شک یہ صریح فضیلت ہے

And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty."

Wa warisa Sulaimaanu Daawooda wa qaala yaaa aiyuhan naasu 'ullimnaa mantiqat tairi wa ooteenaa min kulli shai'in inna haazaa lahuwal fadlul mubeen

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَیۡمَـٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ وَٱلطَّیۡرِ فَهُمۡ یُوزَعُونَ

اور سلیمان کے پاس اس کے لشکر جن اور انسان اور پرندے جمع کیے جاتے پھر انکی جماعتیں بنائی جاتیں

And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows.

Wa hushira Sulaimaana junooduhoo minal jinni wal insi wattairi fahum yooza'oon

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَاۤ أَتَوۡا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمۡلِ قَالَتۡ نَمۡلَةࣱ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّمۡلُ ٱدۡخُلُوا۟ مَسَـٰكِنَكُمۡ لَا یَحۡطِمَنَّكُمۡ سُلَیۡمَـٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ

یہاں تک کہ جب چیونٹیوں کے میدان پر پہنچے ایک چینوٹی نے کہا اے چیونٹیو اپنے گھروں میں گھس جاؤ تمہیں سلیمان اور اس کی فوجیں نہ پیس ڈالیں اور انہیں خبر بھی نہ ہو

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not."

hattaaa izaaa ataw 'alaa waadin namli qaalat namlatuny yaaa aiyuhan namlud khuloo masaakinakum laa yahtimannakum Sulaimaanu wa junooduhoo wa hum laa yash'uroon

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكࣰا مِّن قَوۡلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوۡزِعۡنِیۤ أَنۡ أَشۡكُرَ نِعۡمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَ ٰ⁠لِدَیَّ وَأَنۡ أَعۡمَلَ صَـٰلِحࣰا تَرۡضَىٰهُ وَأَدۡخِلۡنِی بِرَحۡمَتِكَ فِی عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ

پھر اس کی بات سے مسکرا کر ہنس پڑا اور کہا اے میرے رب مجھے توفیق دے کہ میں تیرے احسان کا شکر کروں جو تو نے مجھ پر اور میرے ماں باپ پر کیا اور یہ کہ میں نیک کام کروں جوتو پسند کرے اور مجھے اپنی رحمت سے اپنے نیک بندوں میں شامل کر لے

So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants."

Fatabassama daahikam min qawlihaa wa qaala Rabbi awzi'nee an ashkura ni'mata kal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee 'ibaadikas saaliheen

وَتَفَقَّدَ ٱلطَّیۡرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِیَ لَاۤ أَرَى ٱلۡهُدۡهُدَ أَمۡ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاۤىِٕبِینَ

اور پرندوں کی حاضری لی تو کہا کیا بات ہے جو میں ہُد ہُد کو نہیں دیکھتا کیا وہ غیر حاضر ہے

And he took attendance of the birds and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe - or is he among the absent?

Wa tafaqqadat taira faqaala maa liya laaa aral hud hud, am kaana minal ghaaa'ibeen

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابࣰا شَدِیدًا أَوۡ لَأَا۟ذۡبَحَنَّهُۥۤ أَوۡ لَیَأۡتِیَنِّی بِسُلۡطَـٰنࣲ مُّبِینࣲ

میں اسے سخت سزا دوں گا یا اسے ذبح کر دوں گا یا وہ میرے پاس کوئی صاف دلیل بیان کرے

I will surely punish him with a severe punishment or slaughter him unless he brings me clear authorization."

La-u'azzibanahoo 'azaaban shadeedan aw la azbahannahoo aw layaatiyannee bisultaanim mubeen

فَمَكَثَ غَیۡرَ بَعِیدࣲ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمۡ تُحِطۡ بِهِۦ وَجِئۡتُكَ مِن سَبَإِۭ بِنَبَإࣲ یَقِینٍ

پھر تھوڑی دیر کے بعد ہُد ہُد حاضر ہوا اور کہا کہ میں حضور کے پاس وہ خبر لایا ہوں جو حضور کو معلوم نہیں اور سباسے آپ کے پاس ایک یقینی خبر لایا ہوں

But the hoopoe stayed not long and said, "I have encompassed [in knowledge] that which you have not encompassed, and I have come to you from Sheba with certain news.

Famakasa ghaira ba'eedin faqaala ahattu bimaa lam tuhit bihee wa ji'tuka min Sabaim binaba iny-yaqeen

إِنِّی وَجَدتُّ ٱمۡرَأَةࣰ تَمۡلِكُهُمۡ وَأُوتِیَتۡ مِن كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَلَهَا عَرۡشٌ عَظِیمࣱ

میں نے ایک عورت کو پایا جو ان پر بادشاہی کرتی ہے اور اسے ہر چیز دی گئی ہے اور اس کا بڑا تخت ہے

Indeed, I found [there] a woman ruling them, and she has been given of all things, and she has a great throne.

Innee wajattum ra atan tamlikuhum wa ootiyat min kulli shai'inw wa lahaa 'arshun 'azeem

وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوۡمَهَا یَسۡجُدُونَ لِلشَّمۡسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَزَیَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ فَصَدَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِیلِ فَهُمۡ لَا یَهۡتَدُونَ

میں نے پایا کہ وہ اور اس کی قوم الله کے سوا سورج کو سجدہ کرتے ہیں اور شیطان نے ان کے اعمال کو انہیں آرستہ کر دکھایا ہے اور انہیں راستہ سے روک دیا ہے سو وہ راہ پر نہیں چلتے

I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from [His] way, so they are not guided,

Wajattuhaa wa qawmahaa yasjudoona lishshamsi min doonil laahi wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fasaddahum 'anis sabeeli fahum laa yahtadoon

أَلَّا یَسۡجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِی یُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡخَبۡءَ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا تُخۡفُونَ وَمَا تُعۡلِنُونَ

الله ہی کو کیوں نہ سجدہ کریں جو آسمانوں اور زمین کی چھپی ہوئی چیزوں کو ظاہر کرتا ہے اور جو تم چھپاتے ہو اورجو ظاہر کرتے ہو سب کو جانتا ہے

[And] so they do not prostrate to Allah, who brings forth what is hidden within the heavens and the earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare -

Allaa yasjudoo lillaahil lazee yukhrijul khab'a fis samaawaati wal ardi wa ya'lamu maa tukhfoona wa maa tu'linoon

ٱللَّهُ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۩

الله ہی ایسا ہےکہ اس کے سواکوئی معبود نہیں ہے اوروہ عرش عظیم کا مالک ہے

Allah - there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Great Throne."

Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa Rabbul 'Arshil Azeem

۞ قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقۡتَ أَمۡ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبِینَ

کہا ہم ابھی دیکھ لیتے ہیں کہ تو سچ کہتا ہے یا جھوٹوں میں سے ہے

[Solomon] said, "We will see whether you were truthful or were of the liars.

Qaala sananzuru asadaqta am kunta minal kaazibeen

ٱذۡهَب بِّكِتَـٰبِی هَـٰذَا فَأَلۡقِهۡ إِلَیۡهِمۡ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَٱنظُرۡ مَاذَا یَرۡجِعُونَ

میرا یہ خط لے جا اور ان کی طرف ڈال دے پھر ان کے ہاں سے واپس آ جا پھر دیکھ وہ کیا جواب دیتے ہیں

Take this letter of mine and deliver it to them. Then leave them and see what [answer] they will return."

Izhab bikitaabee haaza fa alqih ilaihim summma tawalla 'anhum fanzur maazaa yarji'oon

قَالَتۡ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُا۟ إِنِّیۤ أُلۡقِیَ إِلَیَّ كِتَـٰبࣱ كَرِیمٌ

کہنے لگی اے دربار والو میرے پاس ایک معزز خط ڈالا گیا ہے

She said, "O eminent ones, indeed, to me has been delivered a noble letter.

Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u innee ulqiya ilaiya kitaabun kareem

إِنَّهُۥ مِن سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ وَإِنَّهُۥ بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ

وہ خط سلیمان کی طرف سے ہے اور وہ یہ ہے الله کے نام سے شروع کرتا ہوں جو بے حد مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے

Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads: 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

Innahoo min Sulaimaana wa innahoo bismil laahir Rahmaanir Raheem

أَلَّا تَعۡلُوا۟ عَلَیَّ وَأۡتُونِی مُسۡلِمِینَ

میرے سامنے تکبر نہ کرو اور میرے پاس مطیع ہو کر چلی آؤ

Be not haughty with me but come to me in submission [as Muslims].' "

Allaa ta'loo 'alaiya waa toonee muslimeen

قَالَتۡ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُا۟ أَفۡتُونِی فِیۤ أَمۡرِی مَا كُنتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمۡرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشۡهَدُونِ

کہنے لگی اے دربار والو مجھے میرے کام میں مشورہ دو میں کوئی بات تمہارے حاضر ہوئے بغیر طے نہیں کر تی

She said, "O eminent ones, advise me in my affair. I would not decide a matter until you witness [for] me."

Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aftoonee fee amree maa kuntu qaati'atan amran hattaa tashhhaddon

قَالُوا۟ نَحۡنُ أُو۟لُوا۟ قُوَّةࣲ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ بَأۡسࣲ شَدِیدࣲ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ إِلَیۡكِ فَٱنظُرِی مَاذَا تَأۡمُرِینَ

کہنے لگے ہم بڑے طاقتور اور بڑے لڑنے والے ہیں اور کام تیرے اختیار میں ہے سو دیکھ لے جو حکم دینا ہے

They said, "We are men of strength and of great military might, but the command is yours, so see what you will command."

Qaaloo nahnu uloo quwwatinw wa uloo baasin shadeed; wal amru ilaiki fanzuree maazaa taamureen

قَالَتۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا۟ قَرۡیَةً أَفۡسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوۤا۟ أَعِزَّةَ أَهۡلِهَاۤ أَذِلَّةࣰۚ وَكَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ یَفۡعَلُونَ

کہنے لگی بادشاہ جب کسی بستی میں داخل ہوتے ہیں اسے خراب کر دیتے ہیں اور وہاں کے سرداروں کو بے عزت کرتے ہیں اور ایسا ہی کریں گے

She said, "Indeed kings - when they enter a city, they ruin it and render the honored of its people humbled. And thus do they do.

Qaalat innal mulooka izaa dakhaloo qaryatan afsadoohaa wa ja'alooo a'izzata ahlihaaa azillah; wa kazaalika yaf'aloon

وَإِنِّی مُرۡسِلَةٌ إِلَیۡهِم بِهَدِیَّةࣲ فَنَاظِرَةُۢ بِمَ یَرۡجِعُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

اور میں ان کی طرف کچھ تحفہ بھیجتی ہوں پھر دیکھتی ہوں کہ ایلچی کیا جواب لے کر آتے ہیں

But indeed, I will send to them a gift and see with what [reply] the messengers will return."

Wa innee mursilatun ilaihim bihadiyyatin fanaaziratum bima yarji'ul mursaloon

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالࣲ فَمَاۤ ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ ٱللَّهُ خَیۡرࣱ مِّمَّاۤ ءَاتَىٰكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُم بِهَدِیَّتِكُمۡ تَفۡرَحُونَ

پھر جب سلیمان کے پاس آیا فرمایا کیا تم میری مال سے مدد کرنا چاہتے ہو سو جو کچھ مجھے الله نے دیا ہے اس سے بہتر ہے جو تمہیں دیا ہے بلکہ تم ہی اپنے تحفہ سے خوش رہو

So when they came to Solomon, he said, "Do you provide me with wealth? But what Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Rather, it is you who rejoice in your gift.

Falammaa jaaa'a Sulaimaana qaala atumiddoonani bimaalin famaaa aataakum bal antum bihadiy yatikum tafrahoon

ٱرۡجِعۡ إِلَیۡهِمۡ فَلَنَأۡتِیَنَّهُم بِجُنُودࣲ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخۡرِجَنَّهُم مِّنۡهَاۤ أَذِلَّةࣰ وَهُمۡ صَـٰغِرُونَ

ان کی طرف واپس جاؤ ہم ان پرا یسے لشکر لے کر پہنچیں گے جن کا وہ مقابلہ نہ کر سکیں گے اور ہم انہیں وہاں سے ذلیل کر کے نکال دیں گے

Return to them, for we will surely come to them with soldiers that they will be powerless to encounter, and we will surely expel them therefrom in humiliation, and they will be debased."

Irji' ilaihim falanaatiyan nahum bijunoodil laa qibala lahum bihaa wa lanukhri jannahum minhaaa azillatanw wa hum saaghiroon

قَالَ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُا۟ أَیُّكُمۡ یَأۡتِینِی بِعَرۡشِهَا قَبۡلَ أَن یَأۡتُونِی مُسۡلِمِینَ

کہا اے دربار والو تم میں کوئی ہے کہ میرے پاس اس کا تخت لے آئے اس سے پہلے کہ وہ میرے پاس فرمانبردار ہو کر آئيں

[Solomon] said, "O assembly [of jinn], which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"

Qaala yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aiyukum yaateenee bi'arshihaa qabla ai yaatoonee muslimeen

قَالَ عِفۡرِیتࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِیكَ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَن تَقُومَ مِن مَّقَامِكَۖ وَإِنِّی عَلَیۡهِ لَقَوِیٌّ أَمِینࣱ

جنوں میں سے ایک دیو نے کہا میں تمہیں وہ لا دیتا ہوں اس سے پہلے کہ تو اپنی جگہ سے اٹھے اور میں اس کے لیے طاقتور امانت دار ہوں

A powerful one from among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this [task] strong and trustworthy."

Qaala 'ifreetum minal jinni ana aateeka bihee qabla an taqooma mim maqaamika wa innee 'alaihi laqawiyyun ameen

قَالَ ٱلَّذِی عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِیكَ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَن یَرۡتَدَّ إِلَیۡكَ طَرۡفُكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُسۡتَقِرًّا عِندَهُۥ قَالَ هَـٰذَا مِن فَضۡلِ رَبِّی لِیَبۡلُوَنِیۤ ءَأَشۡكُرُ أَمۡ أَكۡفُرُۖ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا یَشۡكُرُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّی غَنِیࣱّ كَرِیمࣱ

اس شخص نے کہا جس کے پاس کتاب کا علم تھا میں اسے تیری آنکھ جھپکنے سے پہلے لا دیتا ہوں پھر جب اسے اپنے روبرو رکھا دیکھا تو کہنے لگا یہ میرے رب کا ایک فضل ہے تاکہ میری آزمائش کرے کیا میں شکر کرتا ہوں یا ناشکری اور جو شخص شکر کرتا ہے اپنے ہی نفع کے لیے شکر کرتا ہے اورجو ناشکری کرتا ہے تو میرا رب بھی بے پرواہ عزت والا ہے

Said one who had knowledge from the Scripture, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you." And when [Solomon] saw it placed before him, he said, "This is from the favor of my Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful - his gratitude is only for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever is ungrateful - then indeed, my Lord is Free of need and Generous."

Qaalal lazee indahoo 'ilmum minal Kitaabi ana aateeka bihee qabla ai yartadda ilaika tarfuk; falammaa ra aahu mustaqirran 'indahoo qaala haazaa min fadli Rabbee li yabluwaneee 'a-ashkuru am akfuru wa man shakara fa innamaa yashkuru linafsihee wa man kafara fa inna Rabbee Ghaniyyun Kareem

قَالَ نَكِّرُوا۟ لَهَا عَرۡشَهَا نَنظُرۡ أَتَهۡتَدِیۤ أَمۡ تَكُونُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یَهۡتَدُونَ

کہا اس کے لیے اس کے تخت کی صورت بدل دو ہم دیکھیں کیا اسے پتہ لگتا ہے یا انہیں میں ہوتی ہے جنہیں پتہ نہیں لگتا

He said, "Disguise for her her throne; we will see whether she will be guided [to truth] or will be of those who is not guided."

Qaala nakkiroo lahaa 'arshahaa nanzur atahtadeee am takoonu minal lazeena laa yahtadoon

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَتۡ قِیلَ أَهَـٰكَذَا عَرۡشُكِۖ قَالَتۡ كَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَۚ وَأُوتِینَا ٱلۡعِلۡمَ مِن قَبۡلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسۡلِمِینَ

پھر جب آئی کہا گیا کیا تیرا تخت ایسا ہی ہے کہنے لگی گویاکہ یہ وہی ہے اور ہمیں تو پہلے ہی معلوم ہو گیا تھا اور ہم فرمانبردار ہو چکے ہیں

So when she arrived, it was said [to her], "Is your throne like this?" She said, "[It is] as though it was it." [Solomon said], "And we were given knowledge before her, and we have been Muslims [in submission to Allah].

Falammaa jaaa'at qeela ahaakaza 'arshuki qaalat kaanna hoo; wa ooteenal 'ilma min qablihaa wa kunnaa muslimeen

وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَت تَّعۡبُدُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتۡ مِن قَوۡمࣲ كَـٰفِرِینَ

اور اسے ان چیزو ں سے روک دیا جنہیں الله کےسوا پوجتی تھی بے شک وہ کافروں میں سے تھی

And that which she was worshipping other than Allah had averted her [from submission to Him]. Indeed, she was from a disbelieving people."

Wa saddahaa maa kaanat ta'budu min doonil laahi innahaa kaanat min qawmin kaafireen

قِیلَ لَهَا ٱدۡخُلِی ٱلصَّرۡحَۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتۡهُ حَسِبَتۡهُ لُجَّةࣰ وَكَشَفَتۡ عَن سَاقَیۡهَاۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ صَرۡحࣱ مُّمَرَّدࣱ مِّن قَوَارِیرَۗ قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّی ظَلَمۡتُ نَفۡسِی وَأَسۡلَمۡتُ مَعَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ

اسے کہا گیا اس محل میں داخل ہو پھر جب اسے دیکھا خیال کیا کہ وہ گہرا پانی ہے اور اپنی پنڈلیاں کھولیں کہا یہ تو ایسا محل ہے جس میں شیشے جڑے ہوئے ہیں کہنے لگی اے میرے رب میں نے اپنے نفس پر ظلم کیا تھا اور میں سلیمان کے ساتھ الله کی فرمانبردار ہوئی جو سارے جہاں کا رب ہے

She was told, "Enter the palace." But when she saw it, she thought it was a body of water and uncovered her shins [to wade through]. He said, "Indeed, it is a palace [whose floor is] made smooth with glass." She said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allah, Lord of the worlds."

Qeela lahad khulis sarha falammaa ra at hu hasibat hu lujjatanw wa khashafat 'an saaqaihaa; qaala innahoo sarhum mumarradum min qawaareer; qaalat Rabbi innee zalamtu nafsee wa aslamtu ma'a Sulaimaana lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَـٰلِحًا أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمۡ فَرِیقَانِ یَخۡتَصِمُونَ

اور ہم نے ثمود کی طرف ان کے بھائی صالح کو بھیجاکہ الله کی بندگی کرو پھر وہ دو فریق ہو کر آپس میں جھگڑنے لگے

And We had certainly sent to Thamud their brother Salih, [saying], "Worship Allah," and at once they were two parties conflicting.

Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaa Samoda akhaahum Saalihan ani'budul lahha fa izaa hum fareeqaani yakhtasimoon

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ لِمَ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ بِٱلسَّیِّئَةِ قَبۡلَ ٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖ لَوۡلَا تَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ

کہا اے میری قوم بھلائی سے پہلے برائی کو کیوں جلدی مانگتے ہو الله سے گناہ کیوں نہیں بخشواتے تاکہ تم پر رحم کیا جائے

He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil instead of good? Why do you not seek forgiveness of Allah that you may receive mercy?"

Qaala yaa qawmi lima tasta'jiloona bissaiyi'ati qablal hasanati law laa tas taghfiroonal laaha la'allakum turhamoon

قَالُوا۟ ٱطَّیَّرۡنَا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَّعَكَۚ قَالَ طَـٰۤىِٕرُكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۖ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ تُفۡتَنُونَ

کہنے لگے ہمیں تو تجھ سے اور تیرے ساتھیوں سے نحوست معلوم ہوئی کہا تہاری نحوست الله کی طرف سے ہے بلکہ تم لوگ آزمائش میں ڈالے گئے ہو

They said, "We consider you a bad omen, you and those with you." He said, "Your omen is with Allah. Rather, you are a people being tested."

Qaalut taiyarnaa bika wa bimam ma'ak; qaala taaa'irukum 'indal laahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoon

وَكَانَ فِی ٱلۡمَدِینَةِ تِسۡعَةُ رَهۡطࣲ یُفۡسِدُونَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا یُصۡلِحُونَ

اور اس شہر میں نو آدمی ایسے تھے جو زمین میں فساد کرتے تھے اوراصلاح نہیں کرتے تھے

And there were in the city nine family heads causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs].

Wa kaana fil madeenati tis'atu rahtiny yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon

قَالُوا۟ تَقَاسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ لَنُبَیِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِیِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدۡنَا مَهۡلِكَ أَهۡلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ

کہنے لگے آپس میں الله کی قسم کھاؤ کہ صالح اور اس کے گھر والوں پر شبخوں ماریں پھر اس کے وارث سے کہہ دیں ہم تو اس کے کنبہ کی ہلاکت کے وقت موجود ہی نہ تھے اور بے شک ہم سچے ہیں

They said, "Take a mutual oath by Allah that we will kill him by night, he and his family. Then we will say to his executor, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.' "

Qaaloo taqaasamoo billaahi lanubaiyitannahoo wa ahlahoo summaa lanaqoolana liwaliy yihee maa shahidnaa mahlika ahliee wa innaa lasaadiqoon

وَمَكَرُوا۟ مَكۡرࣰا وَمَكَرۡنَا مَكۡرࣰا وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ

اور انہوں نے ایک داؤ کیا اور ہم نے بھی ایساداؤ کیا کہ انہیں خبربھی نہ ہوئی

And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not.

Wa makaroo makranw wa makarnaa makranw wa hum laa yash'uroon

فَٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ مَكۡرِهِمۡ أَنَّا دَمَّرۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَقَوۡمَهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ

پھر دیکھو ان کے داؤ کا کیا انجام ہوا کہ ہم نے انہیں اوران کی ساری قوم کو ہلاک کر دیا

Then look how was the outcome of their plan - that We destroyed them and their people, all.

Fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatu makrihim annaa dammar naahum wa qawmahum ajma'een

فَتِلۡكَ بُیُوتُهُمۡ خَاوِیَةَۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَـَٔایَةࣰ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یَعۡلَمُونَ

سو یہ ان کے گھر ہیں جو ان کے ظلم کے سبب سے ویران پڑے ہیں بے شک اس میں دانشمندو ں کے لیے عبرت ہے

So those are their houses, desolate because of the wrong they had done. Indeed in that is a sign for people who know.

Fatilka buyootuhum khaa wiyatam bimaa zalamoo; inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqaw miny-ya'lamoon

وَأَنجَیۡنَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ یَتَّقُونَ

اور ہم نے ایمان اور تقویٰ والوں کو نجات دی

And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah.

Wa anjainal lazeena aamanoo wa kaanoo yattaqoon

وَلُوطًا إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦۤ أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلۡفَـٰحِشَةَ وَأَنتُمۡ تُبۡصِرُونَ

اورلوط کو جب اس نے اپنی قوم کو کہا کیا تم بے حیائی کرتے ہو حالانکہ تم سمجھ دا ر ہو

And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you are seeing?

Wa lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee ataatoonal faa hishata wa antum qawmun tajjhaloon

أَىِٕنَّكُمۡ لَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهۡوَةࣰ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَاۤءِۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ تَجۡهَلُونَ

کیا تم عورتوں کو چھوڑ کر مردوں پر خواہش کر کے آتے ہو بلکہ تم لوگ جاہل ہو

Do you indeed approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people behaving ignorantly."

A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala shahwatam min doonin nisaaa'; bal antum qawmun tajhaloon

۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦۤ إِلَّاۤ أَن قَالُوۤا۟ أَخۡرِجُوۤا۟ ءَالَ لُوطࣲ مِّن قَرۡیَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُمۡ أُنَاسࣱ یَتَطَهَّرُونَ

پھر اس کی قوم کا اور کوئی جواب نہ تھا سوائے ا س کے کہ یہ کہا لوط کے گھر والوں کو اپنی بستی سے نکال دو یہ لوگ بڑے پاک بنتے ہیں

But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure."

Fammaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalooo akrijoon aalaa Lootim min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon

فَأَنجَیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَـٰهَا مِنَ ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ

پھر ہم نے لوط اور اس کے گھر والوں کو سوائے اس کی بیوی کے بچا لیا ہم اس کو پیچھے رہنے والو ں میں ٹھہرا چکے تھے

So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind.

Fa anjainaahu wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo qaddarnaahaa minal ghaabireen

وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم مَّطَرࣰاۖ فَسَاۤءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِینَ

اورہم نے ان پر مینہ برسایا پھر ڈرائے ہوؤں کا مینہ برا تھا

And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.

Wa amtarnaa 'alaihimm mataran fasaaa'a matarul munzareen

قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰۤۗ ءَاۤللَّهُ خَیۡرٌ أَمَّا یُشۡرِكُونَ

کہہ دے سب تعریف الله کے لیے ہے اور اس کے برگزیدہ بندوں پر سلام ہے بھلا الله بہتر ہے یا جنہیں وہ شریک بناتے ہیں

Say, [O Muhammad], "Praise be to Allah, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate with Him?"

Qulil hamdu lillaahi wa salaamun 'alaa 'ibaadihil lazeenas tafaa; aaallaahu khairun ammmaa yushrikoon

أَمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ حَدَاۤىِٕقَ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةࣲ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمۡ أَن تُنۢبِتُوا۟ شَجَرَهَاۤۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ یَعۡدِلُونَ

بھلا کس نے آسمان اور زمین بنائے اور تمہارے لیے آسمان سے پانی اتار پھر ہم نے اس سے رونق والے باغ اگائے تمہارا کام نہ تھا کہ ان کے درخت اگاتے کیا الله تعالیٰ کے ساتھ کوئی اوربھی معبود ہے بلکہ یہ لوگ کجروی کر رہے ہیں

[More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allah? [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him].

Amman khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa anzala lakum minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa ambatnaa bihee hadaaa'iqa zaata bahjjah; maa kanna lakum an tumbitoo shajarahaa; 'a-ilaahum ma'al laah; bal hum qawmuny ya'diloon

أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَرَارࣰا وَجَعَلَ خِلَـٰلَهَاۤ أَنۡهَـٰرࣰا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَ ٰ⁠سِیَ وَجَعَلَ بَیۡنَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَیۡنِ حَاجِزًاۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ

بھلا زمین کو ٹھہرنے کی جگہ کس نے بنایا اور اس میں ندیاں جاری کیں اور زمین کے لنگر بنائے اور دو دریاؤں میں پردہ رکھا کیا الله کے ساتھ کوئی اوربھی معبود ہے بلکہ اکثر ان میں بے سمجھ ہیں

Is He [not best] who made the earth a stable ground and placed within it rivers and made for it firmly set mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier? Is there a deity with Allah? [No], but most of them do not know.

Ammann ja'alal arda qaraaranw wa ja'ala khilaalahaaa anhaaranw wa ja'ala lahaa rawaasiya wa ja'ala bainal bahraini haajizaa; 'a-ilaahumma'allah; bal aksaruhum la ya'lamoon

أَمَّن یُجِیبُ ٱلۡمُضۡطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَیَكۡشِفُ ٱلسُّوۤءَ وَیَجۡعَلُكُمۡ خُلَفَاۤءَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ قَلِیلࣰا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

بھلا کون ہے جوبے قرار کی دعا قبول کرتا ہے اوربرائی کو دور کرتا ہے اور تمہیں زمین میں نائب بناتا ہے کیا الله کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود بھی ہے تم بہت ہی کم سمجھتے ہو

Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah? Little do you remember.

Ammany-yujeebul mud tarra izaa da'aahu wa yakshifussooo'a wa yaj'alukum khula faaa'al ardi 'a-ilaahum ma'al laahi qaleelam maa tazak karoon

أَمَّن یَهۡدِیكُمۡ فِی ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَمَن یُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّیَـٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦۤۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ تَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا یُشۡرِكُونَ

بھلا کون ہے جو تمہیں جنگل اور دریا کے اندھیروں میں راستہ بتاتاہے اور اپنی رحمت سے پہلے کون خوشخبری کی ہوائیں چلاتا ہے کیا الله کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود ہے الله ان کے شرک کرنے سے بہت بلند ہے

Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

Ammany-yahdeekum fee zulumaatil barri wal bahri wa many yursilu riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatih; 'a-ilaahum ma'al laah; Ta'aalal laahu 'ammaa yushrikoon

أَمَّن یَبۡدَؤُا۟ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ یُعِیدُهُۥ وَمَن یَرۡزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ قُلۡ هَاتُوا۟ بُرۡهَـٰنَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ

بھلا کون ہے جو از سرِ نو خلقت کو پیدا کرتا ہے پھر اسے دوبارہ بنائے گا اور کون ہے وہ جو تمہیں آسمان اور زمین سے روزی دیتا ہے کیا الله کے ساتھ کوئی اور بھی معبود ہے کہہ دے اپنی دلیل لاؤ اگر تم سچےہو

Is He [not best] who begins creation and then repeats it and who provides for you from the heaven and earth? Is there a deity with Allah? Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."

Ammmany-yabda'ul khalqa summa yu'eeduhoo wa many-yarzuqukum minas sammaaa'i wal ard; 'a-ilaahum ma'allah; qul haatoo burhaanakum in kuntum saadiqeen

قُل لَّا یَعۡلَمُ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۚ وَمَا یَشۡعُرُونَ أَیَّانَ یُبۡعَثُونَ

کہہ دے الله کے سوا آسمانوں اور زمین میں کوئی بھی غیب کی بات نہیں جانتا اور انہیں اس کی بھی خبر نہیں کہ کب اٹھائے جائیں گے

Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected."

Qul laa ya'lamu mman fis sammaawaati wal ardil ghaiba illal laah; wa maa yash'uroona aiyaana yub'asoon

بَلِ ٱدَّ ٰ⁠رَكَ عِلۡمُهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِی شَكࣲّ مِّنۡهَاۖ بَلۡ هُم مِّنۡهَا عَمُونَ

بلکہ آخرت کے معاملے میں تو ان کی سمجھ گئی گزری ہے بلکہ وہ اس سے شک میں ہیں بلکہ وہ اس سے اندھے ہی ہیں

Rather, their knowledge is arrested concerning the Hereafter. Rather, they are in doubt about it. Rather, they are, concerning it, blind.

Balid daaraka 'ilmuhum fil Aakhirah; bal hum fee shakkim minhaa bal hum minhaa 'amoon

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَ ٰ⁠بࣰا وَءَابَاۤؤُنَاۤ أَىِٕنَّا لَمُخۡرَجُونَ

اور کافر کہتے ہیں کہ کیا جب ہم اور ہمارے باپ دادا مٹی ہوگئے کیا ہم زمین سے نکالے جائیں گے

And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]?

Wa qaalal lazeena kafarooo 'a-izaa kunnaa turaabanw wa aabaaa'unaaa a'innaa lamukhrajoon

لَقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا هَـٰذَا نَحۡنُ وَءَابَاۤؤُنَا مِن قَبۡلُ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّاۤ أَسَـٰطِیرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ

اس کا تو ہم سے اور ہمارےپہلے باپ دادا سے وعدہ ہوتا آیا ہے یہ تو صرف پہلوں کی کہانیاں ہیں

We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples."

Laqad wu'idnaa haazaa nahnu wa aabaaa'unaa min qablu in haazaaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen

قُلۡ سِیرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ

کہہ دے تم زمین میں چل پھر کر دیکھو کہ گناہگاروں کا کیا انجام ہوا

Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals."

Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mujremeen

وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَا تَكُن فِی ضَیۡقࣲ مِّمَّا یَمۡكُرُونَ

اور ان پر غم نہ کر اور ان کے فریب کرنے سے تنگ دل نہ ہو

And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire.

Wa laa tahzan 'alaihim wa laa takun fee daiqim mimmaa yamkuroon

وَیَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ

اور کہتے ہیں یہ وعدہ کب ہوگا اگر تم سچے ہو

And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?"

Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen

قُلۡ عَسَىٰۤ أَن یَكُونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم بَعۡضُ ٱلَّذِی تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

کہہ دے شاید بعض وہ چیزیں جن کی تم جلدی کرتے ہو تمہاری پیٹھ کے پیچھے آلگی ہوں

Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient.

Qul 'asaaa any-yakoona radifa lakum ba'dul lazee tasta'jiloon

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡكُرُونَ

اور بے شک تیرا رب تو لوگوں پر فضل کرتا ہے لیکن ان میں سے اکثر شکر نہیں کرتے

And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude."

Wa innna Rabbaka lazoo fadlin 'alan naasi wa laakina aksarahum laa yashkuroon

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَیَعۡلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمۡ وَمَا یُعۡلِنُونَ

اور بے شک تیرا رب جانتا ہے جو ان کے دلوں میں پوشیدہ ہے اور جو وہ ظاہر کرتے ہیں

And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare.

Wa inna Rabbaka la ya'lamu maa tukinnu sudooruhum wa maa yu'linoon

وَمَا مِنۡ غَاۤىِٕبَةࣲ فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مُّبِینٍ

اور آسمان اور زمین میں ایسی کوئی پوشیدہ بات نہیں جو روشن کتاب میں نہ ہو

And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register.

Wa maa min ghaaa'ibatin fis samaaa'i wal ardi illaa fee kitaabimm mubeen

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ یَقُصُّ عَلَىٰ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰ⁠ۤءِیلَ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلَّذِی هُمۡ فِیهِ یَخۡتَلِفُونَ

بے شک یہ قرآن بنی اسرائیل پر اکثر ان باتوں کو ظاہر کرتا ہے جن میں وہ اختلاف کرتے ہیں

Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree.

Inna haazal Qur-aana yaqussu 'alaa Baneee israaa'eela aksaral lazee hum feehi yakhtalifoon

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَهُدࣰى وَرَحۡمَةࣱ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ

اور بے شک وہ ایمانداروں کے لیے ہدایت اور رحمت ہے

And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers.

Wa innahoo lahudanw wa rahmatul lilmu'mineen

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ یَقۡضِی بَیۡنَهُم بِحُكۡمِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ

بے شک تیرا رب ان کے درمیان اپنے حکم سے فیصلہ کرے گا اور وہ غالب علم والا ہے

Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

Inna Rabbaka yaqdee bainahum bihukmih; wa Huwal 'Azeezul 'Aleem

فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَى ٱلۡحَقِّ ٱلۡمُبِینِ

سو الله پر بھروسہ کر بے شک تو صریح حق پر ہے

So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth.

Fatawakkal 'alal laahi innaka 'alal haqqil mubeen

إِنَّكَ لَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَلَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَاۤءَ إِذَا وَلَّوۡا۟ مُدۡبِرِینَ

البتہ تو مردوں کو نہیں سنا سکتا اور نہ بہروں کو اپنی پکارسنا سکتا ہے جب وہ پیٹھ پھیر کر لوٹیں

Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating.

Innaka laa tusmi'ul mawtaa wa laa tusmi'us summad du'aaa izaa wallaw mudbireen

وَمَاۤ أَنتَ بِهَـٰدِی ٱلۡعُمۡیِ عَن ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمۡۖ إِن تُسۡمِعُ إِلَّا مَن یُؤۡمِنُ بِـَٔایَـٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ

اور نہ تو اندھوں کو ان کی گمراہی دور کر کے ہدایت کر سکتا ہے تو ان ہی کو سنا سکتا ہے جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لائیں سو وہی مان بھی لیتے ہیں

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah].

Wa maaa anta bihaadil 'umyi 'an dalaalatihim in tusmi'u illaa mai yu'minu bi aayaatinaa fahum muslimoon

۞ وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ أَخۡرَجۡنَا لَهُمۡ دَاۤبَّةࣰ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔایَـٰتِنَا لَا یُوقِنُونَ

اور جب ان پر وعدہ پورا ہوگا تو ہم ان کے لیے زمین سے ایک جانور نکالیں گے جو ان سے باتیں کرے گا کہ لوگ ہماری آیتوں پر یقین نہیں لاتے تھے

And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith].

Wa izaa waqa'al qawhu 'alaihim akhrajnaa lahum daabbatam minal ardi tukal limuhum annan naasa kaanoo bi aayaatinaa laa yooqinoon

وَیَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةࣲ فَوۡجࣰا مِّمَّن یُكَذِّبُ بِـَٔایَـٰتِنَا فَهُمۡ یُوزَعُونَ

اورجس دن ہم ہر امت میں سے ایک گروہ ان لوگوں کا جمع کریں گے جو ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلاتے تھے پھر ان کی جماعت بندی ہو گی

And [warn of] the Day when We will gather from every nation a company of those who deny Our signs, and they will be [driven] in rows

Wa Yawma nahshuru min kulli ummmatin fawjam mim many-yukazzibu bi Aayaatinaa fahum yooza'oon

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبۡتُم بِـَٔایَـٰتِی وَلَمۡ تُحِیطُوا۟ بِهَا عِلۡمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

یہاں تک کہ جب سب حاضر ہوں گے کہے گا کیا تم نے میری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا تھا حالانکہ تم انہیں سمجھے بھی نہ تھے یا کیا کرتے رہے ہو

Until, when they arrive [at the place of Judgement], He will say, "Did you deny My signs while you encompassed them not in knowledge, or what [was it that] you were doing?"

Hattaaa izaa jaaa'oo qaala akazzabtum bi Aayaatee wa lam tuheetoo bihaa 'ilman ammaazaa kuntum ta'maloon

وَوَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَیۡهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُوا۟ فَهُمۡ لَا یَنطِقُونَ

اور ان کے ظلم سے ان پر الزام قائم ہو جائے گا پھر وہ بول بھی نہ سکیں گے

And the decree will befall them for the wrong they did, and they will not [be able to] speak.

Wa waqa'al qawlu 'alaihim bimaa zalamoo fahum laa yantiqoon

أَلَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّا جَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّیۡلَ لِیَسۡكُنُوا۟ فِیهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبۡصِرًاۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَـَٔایَـٰتࣲ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یُؤۡمِنُونَ

کیا نہیں دیکھتے کہ ہم نے رات بنائی تاکہ اس میں چین حاصل کریں اور دیکھنے کو دن بنایا البتہ اس میں ان لوگوں کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں جو ایمان لاتے ہیں

Do they not see that We made the night that they may rest therein and the day giving sight? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

Alam yaraw annaa ja'alnal laila li yaskunoo feehi wannahaara mubsiraa; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqaw miny-yu'minoon

وَیَوۡمَ یُنفَخُ فِی ٱلصُّورِ فَفَزِعَ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَمَن فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا مَن شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُۚ وَكُلٌّ أَتَوۡهُ دَ ٰ⁠خِرِینَ

اور جس دن صور پھونکا جائے گا تو جوکوئی آسمان میں ہے اور جو کوئی زمین میں ہے سب ہی گھبرائیں گے مگر جسے الله چاہے اور سب اس کے پاس عاجز ہو کر چلے آئیں گے

And [warn of] the Day the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled.

Wa Yawma yunfakhu fis Soori fafazi'a man fis samaawaati wa man fil ardi illaa man shaaa'al laah; wa kullun atawhu daakhireen

وَتَرَى ٱلۡجِبَالَ تَحۡسَبُهَا جَامِدَةࣰ وَهِیَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ ٱلسَّحَابِۚ صُنۡعَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَتۡقَنَ كُلَّ شَیۡءٍۚ إِنَّهُۥ خَبِیرُۢ بِمَا تَفۡعَلُونَ

اور تو جو پہاڑوں کو جمے ہوئے دیکھ رہا ہے یہ تو بادلوں کی طرح اڑتے پھریں گے اس الله کی کاریگری سے جس نے ہر چیز کو مضبوط بنا رکھا ہے اسے خبر ہے جو تم کرتے ہو

And you see the mountains, thinking them rigid, while they will pass as the passing of clouds. [It is] the work of Allah, who perfected all things. Indeed, He is Acquainted with that which you do.

Wa taral jibaala tahsabuhaa jaamidatanw wa hiya tamurru marras sahaab; sun'al laahil lazeee atqana kulla shai'; innahoo khabeerum bimaa taf'aloon

مَن جَاۤءَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَیۡرࣱ مِّنۡهَا وَهُم مِّن فَزَعࣲ یَوۡمَىِٕذٍ ءَامِنُونَ

جو نیکی لائے گا سواسے اس سے بہتر بدلہ ملے گا اور وہ اس دن کی گھبراہٹ سے بھی امن میں ہوں گے

Whoever comes [at Judgement] with a good deed will have better than it, and they, from the terror of that Day, will be safe.

Man jaaa'a bilhasanati falahoo khairum minhaa wa hum min faza'iny Yawma'izin aaminoon

وَمَن جَاۤءَ بِٱلسَّیِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ فِی ٱلنَّارِ هَلۡ تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

اور جو برائی لائے گا سو ان کے منہ آگ میں اوندھے ڈالے جائیں گے تمہیں وہی بدلہ مل رہا ہے جو تم کرتے تھے

And whoever comes with an evil deed - their faces will be overturned into the Fire, [and it will be said], "Are you recompensed except for what you used to do?"

Wa man jaaa'a bissai yi'ati fakubbat wujoohuhum fin Naari hal tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maloon

إِنَّمَاۤ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ رَبَّ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡبَلۡدَةِ ٱلَّذِی حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَیۡءࣲۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ

مجھے تو یہی حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ اس شہر کے مالک کی بندگی کروں جس نے اسے عزت دی ہے اور ہر ایک چیز اسی کی ہے اور مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں فرمانبرداروں میں رہوں

[Say, O Muhammad], "I have only been commanded to worship the Lord of this city, who made it sacred and to whom [belongs] all things. And I am commanded to be of the Muslims [those who submit to Allah]

Innamaaa umirtu an a'buda Rabba haazihil baldatil lazee harramahaa wa lahoo kullu shai'inw wa umirtu an akoona minal muslimeen

وَأَنۡ أَتۡلُوَا۟ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا یَهۡتَدِی لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلۡ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِینَ

اور یہ بھی کہ قرآن سنا دوں پھر جو کوئی راہ پر آ گیا تو وہ اپنے بھلے کو راہ پر آتا ہے اور جو گمراہ ہوا تو کہہ دو میں تو صرف ڈرانے والوں میں سے ہوں

And to recite the Qur'an." And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself; and whoever strays - say, "I am only [one] of the warners."

Wa an atluwal Qur-aana famanih tadaa fa innnamaa yahtadee linafsihee wa man dalla faqul innamaaa ana minal munzireen

وَقُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ سَیُرِیكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ فَتَعۡرِفُونَهَاۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَـٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ

اور کہہ دو سب تعریف الله کے لیے ہےتمہیں عنقریب اپنی نشانیاں دکھا دے گا پھرانہیں پہچان لو گے اور تیرا رب اس سے بے خبر نہیں جو تم کرتے ہو

And say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah. He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do."

Wa qulil hamdu lillaahi sa yureekum Aayaatihee fata'ri foonahaa; wa maa Rabbuka bighaaflin 'ammaa ta'maloon
