Surah Hud with Urdu & English Translation and Audio - سورۃ ہود

الۤرۚ كِتَـٰبٌ أُحۡكِمَتۡ ءَایَـٰتُهُۥ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتۡ مِن لَّدُنۡ حَكِیمٍ خَبِیرٍ

یہ ایسی کتاب ہےکہ جس کی آیتیں حکیم خبردار کی طرف سے مستحکم کر دی گئی ہیں پھر مفصل بیان کی گئی ہیں

Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book whose verses are perfected and then presented in detail from [one who is] Wise and Acquainted.

Alif-Laaam-Raa; Kitaabun uhkimat Aayaatuhoo summa fussilat mil ladun Hakeemin Khabeer

أَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۤا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّنِی لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِیرࣱ وَبَشِیرࣱ

یہ کہ الله کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو میں تمہارے لیے اس کی طرف سے ڈرانے والا اور خوشخبری دینے والا ہوں

[Through a messenger, saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a warner and a bringer of good tidings,"

Allaa ta'budooo illal laah; innanee lakum minhu nazeerunw wa basheer

وَأَنِ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِ یُمَتِّعۡكُم مَّتَـٰعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّى وَیُؤۡتِ كُلَّ ذِی فَضۡلࣲ فَضۡلَهُۥۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّوۡا۟ فَإِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمࣲ كَبِیرٍ

اور یہ کہ تم اپنے رب سے معافی مانگو پھراس کی طرف رجوع کرو تاکہ تمہیں ایک وقت مقرر تک اچھا فائدپہنچائے اورجس نے بڑھ کر نیکی کی ہو اس کو بڑھ کر بدلہ دے اور اگر تم پھر جاؤ گے تو میں تم پر ایک بڑے دن کے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہوں

And [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor. But if you turn away, then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great Day.

Wa anis taghfiroo Rabbakum summa toobooo ilaihi yumatti'kum mataa'an hasanan ilaaa ajalim musammanw wa yu'ti kulla zee fadlin fadlahoo wa in tawallaw fa inneee akhaafu 'alaikum 'azaaba Yawmin Kabeer

إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرٌ

تمہیں الله کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے اوروہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے

To Allah is your return, and He is over all things competent."

Ilal laahi marji'ukum wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

أَلَاۤ إِنَّهُمۡ یَثۡنُونَ صُدُورَهُمۡ لِیَسۡتَخۡفُوا۟ مِنۡهُۚ أَلَا حِینَ یَسۡتَغۡشُونَ ثِیَابَهُمۡ یَعۡلَمُ مَا یُسِرُّونَ وَمَا یُعۡلِنُونَۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

خبردار جس وقت وہ کپڑے ڈھانکتے ہیں وہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ وہ چھپا کر اور ظاہر کر کے کرتے ہیں بےشک وہ دلوں کی باتوں کو جاننے والا ہے

Unquestionably, they the disbelievers turn away their breasts to hide themselves from Him. Unquestionably, [even] when they cover themselves in their clothing, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

Alaa innahum yasnoona sudoorahum liyastakhfoo minh; alaa heena yastaghshoona siyaabahum ya'lamu maa yusiroona wa maa yu'linoon; innahoo 'aleemum bizaatis sudoor

۞ وَمَا مِن دَاۤبَّةࣲ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رِزۡقُهَا وَیَعۡلَمُ مُسۡتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسۡتَوۡدَعَهَاۚ كُلࣱّ فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مُّبِینࣲ

ارو زمین پر کوئی چلنے والا نہیں مگر اس کی روزی الله پر ہے اور جانتا ہے جہاں وہ ٹھیرتا ہے اور جہاں وہ سونپا جاتا ہے سب کچھ واضح کتاب میں ہے

And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register.

Wa maa min daaabbatin fil ardi illaa 'alal laahi rizquhaa wa ya'lamu mustaqarrahaa wa mustawda'ahaa; kullun fee Kitaabim Mubeen

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِی سِتَّةِ أَیَّامࣲ وَكَانَ عَرۡشُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلۡمَاۤءِ لِیَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَیُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلࣰاۗ وَلَىِٕن قُلۡتَ إِنَّكُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ لَیَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ

اور وہی ہےجس نے آسمان اور زمین چھ دن میں بنائے اور اس کا تخت پانی پر تھا کہ تمہیں آزمائے کہ تم میں سے کون اچھا کام کرتا ہے اور اگر تو کہے کہ مرنے کے بعد اٹھو گے تو منکرین یہ کہیں گے کہ یہ تو صریح جادو ہے

And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His Throne had been upon water - that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed. But if you say, "Indeed, you are resurrected after death," those who disbelieve will surely say, "This is not but obvious magic."

Wa Huwal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal alrda fee sittati aiyaaminw wa kaana 'Arshuhoo alal maaa'i liyablu wakum aiyukum ahsanu 'amalaa; wa la'in qulta innakum mab'oosoona mim ba'dil mawti la yaqoolanal lazeena kafaroo in haazaaa illaa sihrum mubeen

وَلَىِٕنۡ أَخَّرۡنَا عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِلَىٰۤ أُمَّةࣲ مَّعۡدُودَةࣲ لَّیَقُولُنَّ مَا یَحۡبِسُهُۥۤۗ أَلَا یَوۡمَ یَأۡتِیهِمۡ لَیۡسَ مَصۡرُوفًا عَنۡهُمۡ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

اور اگر ہم ایک مدت معلوم تک ان سے عذاب کو روک رکھیں توضرور کہیں گے کس چیر نے عذاب کو روک دیا خبردار جس دن ان پر عذاب آئے گا ان سے نہ پھیرا جائے گا اور انہیں وہ چیز گھیرے گی جس پر ٹھٹایا کیاکرتے تھے

And if We hold back from them the punishment for a limited time, they will surely say, "What detains it?" Unquestionably, on the Day it comes to them, it will not be averted from them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

Wala'in akhkharnaa 'anhumul 'azaaba ilaaa ummatim ma'doodatil la yaqoolunna maa yahbisuh; alaa yawma yaateehim laisa masroofan 'anhum wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

وَلَىِٕنۡ أَذَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِنَّا رَحۡمَةࣰ ثُمَّ نَزَعۡنَـٰهَا مِنۡهُ إِنَّهُۥ لَیَـُٔوسࣱ كَفُورࣱ

اور اگر ہم انسان کو اپنی رحمت کا مزہ چکھا کر پھر اس سے چھین لیتے ہیں تو وہ ناامید ناشکرا ہو جاتا ہے

And if We give man a taste of mercy from Us and then We withdraw it from him, indeed, he is despairing and ungrateful.

Wa la'in azaqnal insaana minnaa rahmatan summa naza'naahaa minhu, innahoo laya'oosun kafoor

وَلَىِٕنۡ أَذَقۡنَـٰهُ نَعۡمَاۤءَ بَعۡدَ ضَرَّاۤءَ مَسَّتۡهُ لَیَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ ٱلسَّیِّـَٔاتُ عَنِّیۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَفَرِحࣱ فَخُورٌ

اور اگر مصیبت پہنچنے کے بعد نعمتوں کا مزہ چکھاتے ہیں تو کہتا ہے کہ میری سختیاں جاتی رہیں کیوں کہ وہ اترانے والا شیخی خورا ہے

But if We give him a taste of favor after hardship has touched him, he will surely say, "Bad times have left me." Indeed, he is exultant and boastful -

Wala'in azaqnaahu na'maaa'a ba'da darraaa'a massat hu la yaqoolanna zahabas saiyiaatu 'anneee; innahoo lafarihun fakhoor

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَأَجۡرࣱ كَبِیرࣱ

مگر جو لوگ صابر ہیں اور نیکیاں کرتے ہیں ان کے لیے بخشش اوربڑا ثواب ہے

Except for those who are patient and do righteous deeds; those will have forgiveness and great reward.

Illal lazeena sabaroo wa 'amilus saalihaati ulaaa'ika lahum maghfiratunw wa ajrun kabeer

فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِكُۢ بَعۡضَ مَا یُوحَىٰۤ إِلَیۡكَ وَضَاۤىِٕقُۢ بِهِۦ صَدۡرُكَ أَن یَقُولُوا۟ لَوۡلَاۤ أُنزِلَ عَلَیۡهِ كَنزٌ أَوۡ جَاۤءَ مَعَهُۥ مَلَكٌۚ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ نَذِیرࣱۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَكِیلٌ

پھر شاید آپ اس میں سے کچھ چھوڑ بیٹھیں گے جو آپ کی طرف وحی کیا گیا ہے اور ان کے اس کہنے سے آپ کا دل تنگ ہوگا کہ اس پر کوئی خزانہ کیوں نہ اتر آیا یا اس کے ساتھ کوئی فرشتہ کیوں نہ آیا آپ تو محض ڈرانے والے ہیں اور الله ہر چیز کا ذمہ دار ہے

Then would you possibly leave [out] some of what is revealed to you, or is your breast constrained by it because they say, "Why has there not been sent down to him a treasure or come with him an angel?" But you are only a warner. And Allah is Disposer of all things.

Fala'allaka taarikum ba'da maa yoohaaa ilaika wa daaa'iqum bihee sadruka ai yaqooloo law laaa unzila 'alaihi kanzun aw jaaa'a ma'ahoo malak; innamaa anta nazeer; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai'inw wakeel

أَمۡ یَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ فَأۡتُوا۟ بِعَشۡرِ سُوَرࣲ مِّثۡلِهِۦ مُفۡتَرَیَـٰتࣲ وَٱدۡعُوا۟ مَنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ

کیا کہتے ہیں کہ تو نے قرآن خود بنا لیا ہے کہہ دو تم بھی ایسی دس سورتیں بنا لاؤ اور الله کے سوا جس کو بلا سکو بلا لو اگر تم سچے ہو

Or do they say, "He invented it"? Say, "Then bring ten surahs like it that have been invented and call upon [for assistance] whomever you can besides Allah, if you should be truthful."

Am yaqooloonaf taraahu qul faatoo bi'ashri Suwarim mislihee muftarayaatinw wad'oo manis tata'tum min doonil laahi in kuntum saadiqeen

فَإِلَّمۡ یَسۡتَجِیبُوا۟ لَكُمۡ فَٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّمَاۤ أُنزِلَ بِعِلۡمِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَن لَّاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَهَلۡ أَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ

پھر اگر تمہارا کہنا پورا نہ کریں تو جان لو کہ قرآن الله کے علم سے نازل کیا گیا ہے اور یہ بھی کہ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں پس کیا تم فرمانبرداری کرنے والے ہو

And if they do not respond to you - then know that the Qur'an was revealed with the knowledge of Allah and that there is no deity except Him. Then, would you [not] be Muslims?

Fa il lam yastajeeboo lakum fa'lamooo annamaaa unzilla bi'ilmil laahi wa al laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fahal antum muslimoon

مَن كَانَ یُرِیدُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَزِینَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَیۡهِمۡ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ فِیهَا وَهُمۡ فِیهَا لَا یُبۡخَسُونَ

جو کوئی دنیا کی زندگی اور اس کی آرائش چاہتا ہے تو انکے اعمال ہم یہیں پورے کر دیتے ہیں اور انہیں کچھ نقصان نہیں دیا جاتا

Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived.

Man kaana yureedul hayaatad dunyaa zeenatahaa nuwaffi ilaihim a'maa lahum feehaa wa hum feehaa laa yubkhasoon

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَیۡسَ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ إِلَّا ٱلنَّارُۖ وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا۟ فِیهَا وَبَـٰطِلࣱ مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ

یہ وہی ہیں جن کیلئے آخرت میں آگ کے سوا کچھ نہیں اور برباد ہوگیا جو کچھ انہوں نے دنیا میں کیا تھا اور خراب ہو گیا جو کچھ کمایا تھا

Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein, and worthless is what they used to do.

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena laisa lahum fil Aakhirati illan Naaru wa habita maa sana'oo feehaa wa baatilum maa kaanoo ya'maloon

أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ وَیَتۡلُوهُ شَاهِدࣱ مِّنۡهُ وَمِن قَبۡلِهِۦ كِتَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰۤ إِمَامࣰا وَرَحۡمَةًۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۚ وَمَن یَكۡفُرۡ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ فَٱلنَّارُ مَوۡعِدُهُۥۚ فَلَا تَكُ فِی مِرۡیَةࣲ مِّنۡهُۚ إِنَّهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ

بھلا وہ شخص جو اپنے رب کے صاف راستہ پر ہو اور اس کے ساتھ الله کی طرف سے ایک گواہ بھی ہو اور اس سے پہلے موسیٰ کی کتاب گواہ تھی جو امام اور رحمت تھی یہی لوگ قرآن کو مانتے ہیں اور جو کوئی سب فرقوں میں سے اس کا منکر ہوتو اس کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے سو تو قرآ ن کی طرف سے شبہ میں نہ رہ بے شک یہ تیرے رب کی طرف سے حق ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ ایمان نہیں لاتے

So is one who [stands] upon a clear evidence from his Lord [like the aforementioned]? And a witness from Him follows it, and before it was the Scripture of Moses to lead and as mercy. Those [believers in the former revelations] believe in the Qur'an. But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - the Fire is his promised destination. So be not in doubt about it. Indeed, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe.

Afaman kaana 'alas baiyinatim mir Rabbihee wa yatloohu shaahidum minhu wa min qablihee Kitaabu Moosaaa imaamanw wa rahmah; ulaaa 'ika yu'minoona bih; wa mai yakfur bihee minal Ahzaabi fan Naaru maw'iduh; falaa taku fee miryatim minh; innahul haqqu mir Rabbika wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa yu'minoon

وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ یُعۡرَضُونَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ وَیَقُولُ ٱلۡأَشۡهَـٰدُ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡۚ أَلَا لَعۡنَةُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ

اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہوگا جو الله پر جھوٹ باندھے وہ لوگ اپنے رب کے روبر پیش کیے جائیں گے اور گواہ کہیں گے کہ یہی ہیں کہ جنہوں نے اپنے رب پر جھوٹ بولا تھا خبرادر ظالموں پر الله کی لعنت ہے

And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah? Those will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord." Unquestionably, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.

Wa man azlamu mimmanif taraa 'alal laahi kazibaa; ulaaa'ika yu'radoona 'alaa Rabbihim wa yaqoolul ashhaa duhaaa'ulaaa'il lazeena kazaboo 'alaa Rabbihim; alaa la'natul laahi alaz zaalimeen

ٱلَّذِینَ یَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَیَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجࣰا وَهُم بِٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمۡ كَـٰفِرُونَ

جو الله کی راہ سے روکتے ہیں اور اس میں کجی پیدا کرنا چاہتے ہیں اوروہی آخرت کے منکر ہیں

Who averted [people] from the way of Allah and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they, concerning the Hereafter, were disbelievers.

Allazeena yasuddoona 'an sabeelil laahi wa yabghoonahaa 'iwajanw wa hum bil Aakhiratihum kaafiroon

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَمۡ یَكُونُوا۟ مُعۡجِزِینَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنۡ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَۘ یُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ یُبۡصِرُونَ

یہ لوگ زمین میں عاجز کرنے والے نہیں تھے اور ان کے لیے سوا الله کے کوئی دوست نہ تھا انہیں دگنا عذاب کیا جائے گا یہ لوگ نہ سن سکتے تھے اور نہ دیکھتے تھے

Those were not causing failure [to Allah] on earth, nor did they have besides Allah any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see.

Ulaaa'ika lam yakoonoo mu'jizeena fil ardi wa maa kaana lahum min doonil laahi min awliyaaa'; yudaa'afu lahumul 'azaab; maa kaanoo yastatee'oonas sam'a wa maa kaanoo yubsiroon

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ خَسِرُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡتَرُونَ

انہوں نے اپنے آپ کو خسارہ میں ڈال دیا اور ان سے ضائع ہوگیا جو جھوٹ وہ باندھتے تھے

Those are the ones who will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent.

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum wa dalla 'anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ

بے شک یہی لوگ آخرت میں سب سے زیادہ نقصان میں ہوں گے

Assuredly, it is they in the Hereafter who will be the greatest losers.

Laa jarama annahum fil Aakhirati humul akhsaroon

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَأَخۡبَتُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ هُمۡ فِیهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ

البتہ جولوگ ایمان لائے اورنیک کام کیے اور اپنے رب کے سامنے عاجزی کی وہ جنت میں رہنے والے ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے

Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds and humbled themselves to their Lord - those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide eternally therein.

Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati wa akhbatooo ilaa Rabbihim ulaaa'ika Ashaabul Jannati hum feehaa khaalidoon

۞ مَثَلُ ٱلۡفَرِیقَیۡنِ كَٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ وَٱلۡأَصَمِّ وَٱلۡبَصِیرِ وَٱلسَّمِیعِۚ هَلۡ یَسۡتَوِیَانِ مَثَلًاۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

دونوں فریق کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے ایک اندھا اوربہرا ہو اور دوسرا دیکھنے والا اور سننے والاکیا دونوں کا حال برابر ہے پھر تم کیوں نہیں سمجھتے

The example of the two parties is like the blind and deaf, and the seeing and hearing. Are they equal in comparison? Then, will you not remember?

Masalul fareeqini kal a'maa wal asammi walbaseeri wassamee'; hal yastawiyaani masalaa; afalaa tazakkaroon

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦۤ إِنِّی لَكُمۡ نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینٌ

اور ہم نے نوح کو اس کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا بے شک میں تمہیں صاف ڈرانے والا ہوں

And We had certainly sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Indeed, I am to you a clear warner

Wa laqad arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee innee lakum nazeerum mubeen

أَن لَّا تَعۡبُدُوۤا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۖ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ أَلِیمࣲ

کہ الله کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو بے شک میں تم پر دردناک دن کے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہوں

That you not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a painful day."

Al laa ta'budooo illal laaha inneee akhaafu 'alaikum 'azaaba Yawmin aleem

فَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوۡمِهِۦ مَا نَرَىٰكَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣰا مِّثۡلَنَا وَمَا نَرَىٰكَ ٱتَّبَعَكَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ هُمۡ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِیَ ٱلرَّأۡیِ وَمَا نَرَىٰ لَكُمۡ عَلَیۡنَا مِن فَضۡلِۭ بَلۡ نَظُنُّكُمۡ كَـٰذِبِینَ

پھر اس کی قوم کے جو کافر سردار تھے وہ بولے ہمیں تو تم ہم جیسے ہی ایک آدمی نظر آتے ہو اور ہمیں تو تمہارے پیرو وہی نظر آتے ہیں جو ہم میں سے رذیل ہیں وہ بھی سرسری نظر سے اورہم تم میں اپنے سے کوئی فضیلت بھی نہیں پاتے بلکہ تمہیں جھوٹا خیال کرتے ہیں

So the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said, "We do not see you but as a man like ourselves, and we do not see you followed except by those who are the lowest of us [and] at first suggestion. And we do not see in you over us any merit; rather, we think you are liars."

Faqaalal mala ul lazeena kafaroo min qawmihee ma naraaka illaa basharam mislanaa wa maa naraakat taba'aka illal lazeena hum araazilunaa baadiyar raayi wa maa naraa lakum 'alainaa min fadlim bal nazunnukum kaazibeen

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّی وَءَاتَىٰنِی رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنۡ عِندِهِۦ فَعُمِّیَتۡ عَلَیۡكُمۡ أَنُلۡزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنتُمۡ لَهَا كَـٰرِهُونَ

اس نے کہا اے میری قوم دیکھو تو اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے صاف راستہ پر ہوں اور اس نے مجھ پر اپنے ہاں سے رحمت بھیجی ہو پھر وہ تمہیں دکھائی نہ دے تو کیا میں زبردستی تمہارے گلے مڑھ دوں اور تم اس سے نفرت کرتے ہو

He said, "O my people have you considered: if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord while He has given me mercy from Himself but it has been made unapparent to you, should we force it upon you while you are averse to it?

Qaala yaa qawmi ara'aitum in kuntu 'alaa baiyinatim mir Rabbee wa aataanee rahmatam min 'indihee fa'um miyat 'alaikum anulzimuku moohaa wa antum lahaa kaarihoon

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ لَاۤ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مَالًاۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّهُم مُّلَـٰقُوا۟ رَبِّهِمۡ وَلَـٰكِنِّیۤ أَرَىٰكُمۡ قَوۡمࣰا تَجۡهَلُونَ

اور اے میری قوم میں تم سے اس پر کچھ مال نہیں مانگتا میری مزدوری الله ہی کے ذمہ ہے اور میں ایمانداروں کو ہٹانے والا نہیں بے شک و ہ اپنے رب سے ملنے والے ہیں لیکن تمہیں جاہل قوم دیکھتا ہوں

And O my people, I ask not of you for it any wealth. My reward is not but from Allah. And I am not one to drive away those who have believed. Indeed, they will meet their Lord, but I see that you are a people behaving ignorantly.

Wa yaa qawmi laaa as'alukum 'alaihi maalan in ajriya illaa 'alal laah; wa maaa ana bitaaridil lazeena aamanoo; innahum mulaaqoo Rabbihim wa laakinneee araakum qawman tajhaloon

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ مَن یَنصُرُنِی مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِن طَرَدتُّهُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

اور اے میری قوم اگر میں انہیں ہٹا دوں تو مجھے الله سے کون چھڑائے گا کیا پھر تم نہیں سمجھتے

And O my people, who would protect me from Allah if I drove them away? Then will you not be reminded?

Wa yaa qawmi mai yansurunee minal laahi in tarattuhum; afalaa tazak karoon

وَلَاۤ أَقُولُ لَكُمۡ عِندِی خَزَاۤىِٕنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَاۤ أَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ وَلَاۤ أَقُولُ إِنِّی مَلَكࣱ وَلَاۤ أَقُولُ لِلَّذِینَ تَزۡدَرِیۤ أَعۡیُنُكُمۡ لَن یُؤۡتِیَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ خَیۡرًاۖ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا فِیۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ إِنِّیۤ إِذࣰا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ

اور میں تمہیں نہیں کہتا کہ میرے پاس الله کے خزانے ہیں اور نہ یہ کہ میں غیب دان ہوں اور نہ یہ کہتا ہوں کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں اور نہ یہ کہوں گاکہ جو لوگ تمہاری نظر میں حقیر ہیں الله ان کو بھلائی نہ دے گا الله خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ ان کے دلوں میں ہے ایسا کہوں تو میں بے انصاف ہوں

And I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel, nor do I say of those upon whom your eyes look down that Allah will never grant them any good. Allah is most knowing of what is within their souls. Indeed, I would then be among the wrongdoers."

Wa laa aqoolu lakum 'indee khazaa'inul laahi wa laaa a'lamul ghaiba wa laa aqoolu inee malakunw wa laaa aqoolu lillazeena tazdareee a'yunukum lai yu'tiyahumul laahu khairan Allaahu a'lamu bimaa feee anfusihim innee izal laminaz zaalimeen

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰنُوحُ قَدۡ جَـٰدَلۡتَنَا فَأَكۡثَرۡتَ جِدَ ٰ⁠لَنَا فَأۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَاۤ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ

کہا اے نوح تو نے ہم سے جھگڑا کیا او ربہت جھگڑا کر چکا اب لے آ جو تو ہم سے وعدہ کرتا ہے اگر تو سچا ہے

They said, "O Noah, you have disputed us and been frequent in dispute of us. So bring us what you threaten us, if you should be of the truthful."

Qaaloo yaa Noohu qad jaadaltanaa fa aksarta jidaalanaa faatinaa bimaa ta'idunaaa in kunta minas saadiqeen

قَالَ إِنَّمَا یَأۡتِیكُم بِهِ ٱللَّهُ إِن شَاۤءَ وَمَاۤ أَنتُم بِمُعۡجِزِینَ

نوح نے کہا اسے تو اگرچاہے گا الله ہی لائے گا اور تم اسے روک نہ سکو گے

He said, "Allah will only bring it to you if He wills, and you will not cause [Him] failure.

Qaala innamaa yaateekum bihil laahu in shaaa'a wa maaa antum bimu'jizeen

وَلَا یَنفَعُكُمۡ نُصۡحِیۤ إِنۡ أَرَدتُّ أَنۡ أَنصَحَ لَكُمۡ إِن كَانَ ٱللَّهُ یُرِیدُ أَن یُغۡوِیَكُمۡۚ هُوَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَإِلَیۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ

اور میری نصیحت تمہیں فائدہ نہ دے گی خواہ میں کتنی ہی نصیحت کرنا چاہوں اگر الله کو تمہیں گمراہ رکھنا ہی منظور ہے وہی تمہارا رب ہے اور اسی کی طرف تمہیں پھر جانا ہے

And my advice will not benefit you - although I wished to advise you - If Allah should intend to put you in error. He is your Lord, and to Him you will be returned."

Wa laa yanfa'ukum nusheee in arattu an ansaha lakum in kaanal laahu yureedu ai yughwi yakum; Huwa Rabbukum wa ilaihi turja'oon

أَمۡ یَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ إِنِ ٱفۡتَرَیۡتُهُۥ فَعَلَیَّ إِجۡرَامِی وَأَنَا۠ بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تُجۡرِمُونَ

کیا کہتے ہیں کہ قرآن کو خود بنا لایا ہے کہہ دو اگر میں بنا لایا ہوں تو اس کا گناہ مجھ پر ہے اور میں تمہارے گناہوں سے بری ہوں

Or do they say [about Prophet Muhammad], "He invented it"? Say, "If I have invented it, then upon me is [the consequence of] my crime; but I am innocent of what [crimes] you commit."

Am yaqooloonaf taraahu qul inif taraituhoo fa'alaiya ijraamee wa ana bareee'um mimmaa tujrimoon

وَأُوحِیَ إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ أَنَّهُۥ لَن یُؤۡمِنَ مِن قَوۡمِكَ إِلَّا مَن قَدۡ ءَامَنَ فَلَا تَبۡتَىِٕسۡ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡعَلُونَ

اور نوح کی طرف وحی کی گئی کہ تیری قوم میں سے اب کوئی ایمان نہیں لائے گا مگر جو لا چکا پھر غم نہ کر اور کاموں پر جو کر رہے ہیں

And it was revealed to Noah that, "No one will believe from your people except those who have already believed, so do not be distressed by what they have been doing.

Wa oohiya ilaa Noohin annahoo lany-yu'mina min qawmika illaa man qad aamana falaa tabta'is bimaa kaanoo yaf'aloon

وَٱصۡنَعِ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ بِأَعۡیُنِنَا وَوَحۡیِنَا وَلَا تُخَـٰطِبۡنِی فِی ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوۤا۟ إِنَّهُم مُّغۡرَقُونَ

اور ہمارے روبرو اور ہمارے حکم سے کشتی بنا اور ظالمو ں کے حق میں مجھ سے کوئی بات نہ کر بے شک وہ غرق کیے جائیں گے

And construct the ship under Our observation and Our inspiration and do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are [to be] drowned."

Wasna'il fulka bi-a'yuninaa wa wahyinaa wa laa tukhaa tibnee fil lazeena zalamoo; innahum mughraqoon

وَیَصۡنَعُ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَیۡهِ مَلَأࣱ مِّن قَوۡمِهِۦ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنۡهُۚ قَالَ إِن تَسۡخَرُوا۟ مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسۡخَرُ مِنكُمۡ كَمَا تَسۡخَرُونَ

اور وہ کشتی بناتے تھے اور جب اس کی قوم کے سردار اس پر گزرتے اس سے ہنسی کرتے کہتے اگر تم ہم پر ہنستے ہو تو ہم بھی تم پر ہنسیں گے جیسے تم ہنستے ہو

And he constructed the ship, and whenever an assembly of the eminent of his people passed by him, they ridiculed him. He said, "If you ridicule us, then we will ridicule you just as you ridicule.

Wa yasn'ul fulka wa kullamaa marra 'alaihi malaum min qawmihee sakhiroo minh; qaala in taskharoo minnaa fa innaa naskharu minkum kamaa taskharoon

فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ مَن یَأۡتِیهِ عَذَابࣱ یُخۡزِیهِ وَیَحِلُّ عَلَیۡهِ عَذَابࣱ مُّقِیمٌ

تمہیں جلدی معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کس پر عذاب آتا ہے جو اسے رسوا کرے گا اورکسی پر دائمی عذاب اترتا ہے

And you are going to know who will get a punishment that will disgrace him [on earth] and upon whom will descend an enduring punishment [in the Hereafter]."

Fasawfa ta'lamoona mai yaateehi 'azaabuny yaukhzeehi wa yahillu 'alaihi 'azaabum muqeem

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ قُلۡنَا ٱحۡمِلۡ فِیهَا مِن كُلࣲّ زَوۡجَیۡنِ ٱثۡنَیۡنِ وَأَهۡلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ وَمَنۡ ءَامَنَۚ وَمَاۤ ءَامَنَ مَعَهُۥۤ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣱ

یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارا حکم پہنچا اور تنور نے جوش مارا ہم نے کہا کشتی میں ہر قسم کے جوڑا نر مادہ چڑھا لے اور اپنے گھر والوں کو مگر وہ جن کے متعلق فیصلہ ہو چکا ہے اور سب ایمان والوں کو اور اس کے ساتھ ایمان تو بہت کم لائے تھے

[So it was], until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We said, "Load upon the ship of each [creature] two mates and your family, except those about whom the word has preceded, and [include] whoever has believed." But none had believed with him, except a few.

Hattaaa izaa jaaa'a amrunaa wa faarat tannooru qulnah mil feehaa min kullin zawjainis naini wa ahlaka illaa man sabaqa 'alaihil qawlu wa man aaman; wa maaa aamana ma'ahooo illaa qaleel

۞ وَقَالَ ٱرۡكَبُوا۟ فِیهَا بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ مَجۡرٜىٰهَا وَمُرۡسَىٰهَاۤۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی لَغَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ

اور کہا اس میں سوار ہو جاؤ اس کا چلنا اور ٹھیرنا الله کے نا م سے ہےبے شک میرا رب بخشنے والا مہربان ہے

And [Noah] said, "Embark therein; in the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."

Wa qaalar kaboo feehaa bismil laahi majraihaa wa mursaahaa; inna Rabbee la Ghafoorur Raheem

وَهِیَ تَجۡرِی بِهِمۡ فِی مَوۡجࣲ كَٱلۡجِبَالِ وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ ٱبۡنَهُۥ وَكَانَ فِی مَعۡزِلࣲ یَـٰبُنَیَّ ٱرۡكَب مَّعَنَا وَلَا تَكُن مَّعَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ

اور وہ انہیں پہاڑ جیسی لہروں میں لیے جارہی تھی اورنوح نے اپنے بیٹے کو پکارا جب کہ وہ کنارے پر تھا اے بیٹے ہمارے ساتھ سوار ہو جا اور کافروں کے ساتھ نہ رہ

And it sailed with them through waves like mountains, and Noah called to his son who was apart [from them], "O my son, come aboard with us and be not with the disbelievers."

Wa hiya tajree bihim fee mawjin kaljibaali wa naadaa Noohunib nahoo wa kaana fee ma'ziliny yaa bunai yarkam ma'anaa wa laa takum ma'al kaafireen

قَالَ سَـَٔاوِیۤ إِلَىٰ جَبَلࣲ یَعۡصِمُنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمَاۤءِۚ قَالَ لَا عَاصِمَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ مِنۡ أَمۡرِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَۚ وَحَالَ بَیۡنَهُمَا ٱلۡمَوۡجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُغۡرَقِینَ

کہا میں ابھی کسی پہاڑ کی پناہ لے لیتا ہوں جو مجھے پانی سے بچا لے گا کہا آج الله کے حکم سے کوئی بچانے والا نہیں مگر جس پر وہی رحم کرے اور دونوں کے درمیان موج حائل ہو گئی پھر ڈوبنے والوں میں ہوگیا

[But] he said, "I will take refuge on a mountain to protect me from the water." [Noah] said, "There is no protector today from the decree of Allah, except for whom He gives mercy." And the waves came between them, and he was among the drowned.

Qaala sa aaweee ilaa jabaliny ya'simunee minal maaa'; qaala laa 'aasimal yawma min amril laahi illaa mar rahim; wa haala bainahumal mawju fakaana minal mughraqeen

وَقِیلَ یَـٰۤأَرۡضُ ٱبۡلَعِی مَاۤءَكِ وَیَـٰسَمَاۤءُ أَقۡلِعِی وَغِیضَ ٱلۡمَاۤءُ وَقُضِیَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ وَٱسۡتَوَتۡ عَلَى ٱلۡجُودِیِّۖ وَقِیلَ بُعۡدࣰا لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ

اور حکم آیا اے زمین اپنا پانی نگل جا اور اے آسمان تھم جا اور پانی سکھا دیا گیا اور کام ہو چکا اور کشتی جودی پہاڑ پر ٹھری اور کہہ دیا گیا کہ ظالموں پر پھٹکار ہے

And it was said, "O earth, swallow your water, and O sky, withhold [your rain]." And the water subsided, and the matter was accomplished, and the ship came to rest on the [mountain of] Judiyy. And it was said, "Away with the wrongdoing people."

Wa qeela yaaa ardubla'ee maaa'aki wa yaa samaaa'u aqi'ee wa gheedal maaa'u wa qudiyal amru wastawat 'alal joodiyyi wa qeela bu'dal lilqawmiz zaalimeen

وَنَادَىٰ نُوحࣱ رَّبَّهُۥ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ٱبۡنِی مِنۡ أَهۡلِی وَإِنَّ وَعۡدَكَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَأَنتَ أَحۡكَمُ ٱلۡحَـٰكِمِینَ

اور نوح نے اپنے رب کو پکارا اے رب میرا بیٹا میرے گھر والو ں میں سے ہے اوربے شک تیار وعدہ سچا ہے اور تو سب سے بڑا حاکم ہے

And Noah called to his Lord and said, "My Lord, indeed my son is of my family; and indeed, Your promise is true; and You are the most just of judges!"

Wa naadaa noohur Rabbahoo faqaala Rabbi innabnee min ahlee wa inna wa'dakal haqqu wa Anta ahkamul haakimeen

قَالَ یَـٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَیۡسَ مِنۡ أَهۡلِكَۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَیۡرُ صَـٰلِحࣲۖ فَلَا تَسۡـَٔلۡنِ مَا لَیۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌۖ إِنِّیۤ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجَـٰهِلِینَ

فرمایا اے نوح وہ تیرے گھر والو ں میں سے نہیں ہے کیوں کہ اس کے عمل اچھے نہیں ہیں سو مجھ سے مت پوچھ جس کا تجھے علم نہیں میں تمہیں نصیحت کرتا ہوں کہ کہیں جاہلوں میں نہ ہو جاؤ

He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among the ignorant."

Qaala yaa Noohu innahoo laisa min ahlika innahoo 'amalun ghairu saalihin falaa tas'alni mmaa laisa laka bihee 'ilmun inneee a'izuka an takoona minal jaahileen

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّیۤ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنۡ أَسۡـَٔلَكَ مَا لَیۡسَ لِی بِهِۦ عِلۡمࣱۖ وَإِلَّا تَغۡفِرۡ لِی وَتَرۡحَمۡنِیۤ أَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرِینَ

کہا اے رب میں تیری پناہ لیتا ہوں اس بات سے کہ تجھ سے وہ بات پوچھوں جو مجھے معلوم نہیں اور اگر تو نے مجھے نہ بخشا اورمجھ پر رحم نہ کیا تو میں نقصان والوں میں ہو جاؤں گا

[Noah] said, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers."

Qaala rabbi inneee a'oozu bika an as'alaka maa laisa lee bihee 'ilmunw wa illaa taghfir lee wa tarhamneee akum minal khaasireen

قِیلَ یَـٰنُوحُ ٱهۡبِطۡ بِسَلَـٰمࣲ مِّنَّا وَبَرَكَـٰتٍ عَلَیۡكَ وَعَلَىٰۤ أُمَمࣲ مِّمَّن مَّعَكَۚ وَأُمَمࣱ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمۡ ثُمَّ یَمَسُّهُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِیمࣱ

کہا گیا اے نوح ہماری طرف سے سلامتی اور برکتوں کے ساتھ جو تم پر اور تمہارے ساتھ والوں پر رہیں گی کشتی سے اتر اور دوسرے فرقے ہیں کہ ہم انھیں دنیا میں فائدہ دیں گے پھر انہیں ہماری طرف سے دردناک عذاب پہنچے گا

It was said, "O Noah, disembark in security from Us and blessings upon you and upon nations [descending] from those with you. But other nations [of them] We will grant enjoyment; then there will touch them from Us a painful punishment."

Qeela yaa Noohuh bit bisalaamim minnaa wa barakaatin 'alaika wa 'alaaa umamim mimmam ma'ak; wa umamun sanumatti'uhum summa yamassuhum minaa 'azaabun aleem

تِلۡكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَاۤءِ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ نُوحِیهَاۤ إِلَیۡكَۖ مَا كُنتَ تَعۡلَمُهَاۤ أَنتَ وَلَا قَوۡمُكَ مِن قَبۡلِ هَـٰذَاۖ فَٱصۡبِرۡۖ إِنَّ ٱلۡعَـٰقِبَةَ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ

یہ غیب کی خبریں ہیں جنہیں ہم آپ کی طرف وحی کر رہے ہیں اس سے پہلے نہ تو آپ ہی جانتے تھے اور نہ آپ کی قوم جانتی تھی پس صبر کر کیوں کہ بہتر انجام پرہیزگاروں کے لیے ہے

That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. You knew it not, neither you nor your people, before this. So be patient; indeed, the [best] outcome is for the righteous.

Tilka min ambaaa'il ghaibi nooheehaaa ilaika maa kunta ta'lamuhaaaa anta wa laa qawmuka min qabli haazaa fasbir innal 'aaqibata lilmuttaqeen

وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمۡ هُودࣰاۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَیۡرُهُۥۤۖ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا مُفۡتَرُونَ

اور ہم نے عاد کی طرف ان کے بھائی ہود کو بھیجا اے قوم الله کی بندگی کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی حاکم نہیں تم سب جھوٹ کہتے ہو

And to 'Aad [We sent] their brother Hud. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. You are not but inventors [of falsehood].

Wa ilaa 'aadin akhaahum Hoodaa; qaala yaa qawmi' budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuhooo in antum illaa muftaroon

یَـٰقَوۡمِ لَاۤ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ أَجۡرًاۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلَّذِی فَطَرَنِیۤۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

اے قوم میں اس پر تم سے مزدوری نہیں مانگتا میری مزدوری اسی پر ہے جس نے مجھے پیدا کیا پھر کیا تم نہیں سمجھتے

O my people, I do not ask you for it any reward. My reward is only from the one who created me. Then will you not reason?

Yaa qawmi laaa as'alukum 'alaihi ajran in ajriya illaa 'alal lazee fataranee; afalaa ta'qiloon

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِ یُرۡسِلِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ عَلَیۡكُم مِّدۡرَارࣰا وَیَزِدۡكُمۡ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمۡ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوۡا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ

اور اے قوم اپنے رب سے معافی مانگو پھر اس کی طرف رجوع کرو وہ تم پر خوب بارشیں برسائے گا اور تمہاری قوت کو اوربڑھائے گا اورتم نافرمان ہو کر نہ پھر جاؤ

And O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength. And do not turn away, [being] criminals."

Wa yaa qawmis taghfiroo Rabbakum summa toobooo ilaihi yursilis samaaa'a 'alaikum midraaranw wa yazidkum quwwatan ilaa quwwatikum wa laa tatawallaw mujrimeen

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰهُودُ مَا جِئۡتَنَا بِبَیِّنَةࣲ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِتَارِكِیۤ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوۡلِكَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ لَكَ بِمُؤۡمِنِینَ

کہا اے ہود تو ہمارے پاس کوئی معجزہ بھی نہ لایا اور ہم تیرے کہنے سے اپنے معبودوں کو چھوڑنے والے نہیں اورنہ ہم تجھے ماننے والے ہیں

They said, "O Hud, you have not brought us clear evidence, and we are not ones to leave our gods on your say-so. Nor are we believers in you.

Qaaloo yaa Hoodu maa ji'tanaa bibaiyinatinw wa maa nahnu bitaarikeee aalihatinaa 'an qawlika wa maa nahnu laka bimu'mineen

إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا ٱعۡتَرَىٰكَ بَعۡضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوۤءࣲۗ قَالَ إِنِّیۤ أُشۡهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱشۡهَدُوۤا۟ أَنِّی بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ

ہم تو یہی کہتے ہیں کہ تجھےہمارے کسی معبود نے بری طرح جھپٹ لیا ہے کہا بے شک میں الله کو گواہ کرتا ہوں اورتم بھی گواہ رہو کہ میں ان چیزوں سے بیزار ہوں جنہیں تم الله کے سوا شریک کرتے ہو

We only say that some of our gods have possessed you with evil." He said, "Indeed, I call Allah to witness, and witness [yourselves] that I am free from whatever you associate with Allah

In naqoolu illa' taraaka ba'du aalihatinaa bisooo'; qaala inneee ushhidul laaha wash hadooo annee bareee'um mimmaa tushrikoon

مِن دُونِهِۦۖ فَكِیدُونِی جَمِیعࣰا ثُمَّ لَا تُنظِرُونِ

سوتم سب مل کر میرے حق میں برائی کرو پھر مجھے مہلت نہ دو

Other than Him. So plot against me all together; then do not give me respite.

Min doonihee fakeedoonee jamee'an summa laa tunziroon

إِنِّی تَوَكَّلۡتُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رَبِّی وَرَبِّكُمۚ مَّا مِن دَاۤبَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ ءَاخِذُۢ بِنَاصِیَتِهَاۤۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی عَلَىٰ صِرَ ٰ⁠طࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ

میں نے الله پر بھروسہ کیا ہے جو میرا اور تمہارا رب ہے کوئی بھی زمین پر ایسا چلنے والا نہیں کہ جس کی چوٹی اس نے نہ پکڑ رکھی ہو بے شک میرا رب سیدھے راستے پر ہے

Indeed, I have relied upon Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no creature but that He holds its forelock. Indeed, my Lord is on a path [that is] straight."

Innee tawakkaltu 'alallaahi Rabbee wa Rabbikum; maa min daaabbatin illaa Huwa aakhizum binaasiyatihaa; inna Rabbee 'alaa Siraatim mustaqeem

فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡا۟ فَقَدۡ أَبۡلَغۡتُكُم مَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡتُ بِهِۦۤ إِلَیۡكُمۡۚ وَیَسۡتَخۡلِفُ رَبِّی قَوۡمًا غَیۡرَكُمۡ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُۥ شَیۡـًٔاۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءٍ حَفِیظࣱ

پھر اگر تم منہ پھیرو گے تو جو مجھے دے کر بھیجا گیا تھا وہ تمہیں پہنچا دیا اور میرا رب تمہاری جگہ اور قوم پیدا کر دے گا اور تم اس کا کچھ بھی بگاڑنہیں سکو گے بے شک میرا رب ہر چیزپر نگہبان ہے

But if they turn away, [say], "I have already conveyed that with which I was sent to you. My Lord will give succession to a people other than you, and you will not harm Him at all. Indeed my Lord is, over all things, Guardian."

Fa in tawallaw faqad ablaghtukum maaa ursiltu biheee ilaikum; wa yastakhlifu Rabbee qawman ghairakum wa laa tadur roonahoo shai'aa; inna Rabbee 'alaa kulli shai'in Hafeez

وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّیۡنَا هُودࣰا وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ غَلِیظࣲ

اور جب ہمارا حکم پہنچا تو ہم نے ہود کو اورانہیں جو اس کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے اپنی رحمت سے بچا لیا اور ہم نے انہیں سخت عذاب سے نجات دی

And when Our command came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us; and We saved them from a harsh punishment.

Wa lammaa jaaa'a amrunaa najainaa Hoodanw wallazeena aamanoo ma'ahoo birahmatim minnaa wa najainaahum min 'azaabin ghaleez

وَتِلۡكَ عَادࣱۖ جَحَدُوا۟ بِـَٔایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَعَصَوۡا۟ رُسُلَهُۥ وَٱتَّبَعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِیدࣲ

اور یہ عاد تھے کہ اپنے رب کی باتوں سے منکر ہوئے اوراس کے رسولوں کو نہ مانا اور ہر ایک جبار سرکش کا حکم مانتے تھے

And that was 'Aad, who rejected the signs of their Lord and disobeyed His messengers and followed the order of every obstinate tyrant.

Wa tilka 'aad, jahadoo bi Aayaati Rabbihim wa 'asaw Rusulahoo wattaba'ooo amra kulli jabbaarin 'aneed

وَأُتۡبِعُوا۟ فِی هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا لَعۡنَةࣰ وَیَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۗ أَلَاۤ إِنَّ عَادࣰا كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمۡۗ أَلَا بُعۡدࣰا لِّعَادࣲ قَوۡمِ هُودࣲ

اور اس دنیا میں بھی اپنے پیچھے لعنت چھوڑ گئے اور قیامت کے دن بھی خبردار بےشک عاد نے اپنے رب کا انکار کیا تھا خبردار عاد جو ہود کی قوم تھی الله کی رحمت سے دور کی گئی

And they were [therefore] followed in this world with a curse and [as well] on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, 'Aad denied their Lord; then away with 'Aad, the people of Hud.

Wa utbi'oo fee haazihid dunyaa la'natanw wa Yawmal Qiyaamah; alaaa inna 'Aadan kafaroo Rabbahum; alaa bu'dal li 'Aadin qawmin Hood

۞ وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَـٰلِحࣰاۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَیۡرُهُۥۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱسۡتَعۡمَرَكُمۡ فِیهَا فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی قَرِیبࣱ مُّجِیبࣱ

اور ثمود کی طرف ان کے بھائی صالح کو بھیجا اے میری قوم الله کی بندگی کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں اسی نے تمہیں زمین سے بنایا اورتمہیں اس میں آباد کیا پس اس سے معافی مانگو پھر اس کی طرف رجوع کرو بے شک میرا رب نزدیک ہے قبول کرنے والا

And to Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive."

Wa ilaa Samooda akhaahum Saalihaa; qaala yaa qawmi' budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahim ghairuhoo Huwa ansha akum minal ardi wasta' marakum feehaa fastaghfiroohu summa toobooo ilaih; inna Rabbee Qareebum Mujeeb

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰصَـٰلِحُ قَدۡ كُنتَ فِینَا مَرۡجُوࣰّا قَبۡلَ هَـٰذَاۤۖ أَتَنۡهَىٰنَاۤ أَن نَّعۡبُدَ مَا یَعۡبُدُ ءَابَاۤؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِی شَكࣲّ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُونَاۤ إِلَیۡهِ مُرِیبࣲ

انہوں نے کہا اے صالح اس سے پہلے تو ہمیں تجھ سے بڑی امید تھی تم ہمیں ان معبودوں کے پوجنے سےمنع کرتے ہو جنہیں ہمارے باپ دادا پوجتے چلے آئے ہیں اورجس طرف تم ہمیں بلاتے ہو اس سے تو ہم بڑے شک میں ہیں

They said, "O Salih, you were among us a man of promise before this. Do you forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? And indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."

Qaaloo yaa Saalihu qad kunta feenaa marjuwwan qabla haazaaa atanhaanaaa an na'bu da maa ya'budu aabaaa'unaa wa innanaa lafee shakkim mimmaa tad'oonaaa ilaihi mureeb

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّی وَءَاتَىٰنِی مِنۡهُ رَحۡمَةࣰ فَمَن یَنصُرُنِی مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنۡ عَصَیۡتُهُۥۖ فَمَا تَزِیدُونَنِی غَیۡرَ تَخۡسِیرࣲ

صالح نے کہا اےمیری قوم بھلا دیکھو تو اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے کوئی کھلی دلیل رکھتا ہوں اور اس کی طرف سے میرے پاس رحمت بھی آ چکی ہو پھر اگر میں اس کی نافرمانی کروں تو مجھے اس سے کون بچا سکتا ہے پھر تم مجھے نقصان کے سوا اور کیا دے سکو گے

He said, "O my people, have you considered: if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord and He has given me mercy from Himself, who would protect me from Allah if I disobeyed Him? So you would not increase me except in loss.

Qaala yaa qawmi ara'aytum in kuntu 'alaa baiyinatim mir Rabbee wa aataanee minhu rahmatan famai yansurunee minal laahi in 'asaituhoo famaa tazeedoonanee ghaira takhseer

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمۡ ءَایَةࣰۖ فَذَرُوهَا تَأۡكُلۡ فِیۤ أَرۡضِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوۤءࣲ فَیَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابࣱ قَرِیبࣱ

اور اےمیری قوم یہ الله کی اونٹنی تمہارے لیے نشانی ہے سواسے چھوڑ دو الله کی زمین میں کھاتی پھرے اور اسے برائی سے چھونا بھی نہیں (ورنہ) پھر تمہیں عذاب بہت جلد آ پکڑے گا

And O my people, this is the she-camel of Allah - [she is] to you a sign. So let her feed upon Allah 's earth and do not touch her with harm, or you will be taken by an impending punishment."

Wa yaa qawmi haazihee naaqatul laahi lakum aayatan fazaroohaa taakul feee ardil laahi wa laa tamassoohaa bisooo'in fa yaakhuzakum azaabun qareeb

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فِی دَارِكُمۡ ثَلَـٰثَةَ أَیَّامࣲۖ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ وَعۡدٌ غَیۡرُ مَكۡذُوبࣲ

پھر انہوں نے اس کے پاؤں کاٹ ڈالے تب صالح نے کہا تین دن تک اپنے گھروں میں فائدہ اٹھا لو یہ وعدہ ہے جو جھوٹا نہ ہوگا

But they hamstrung her, so he said, "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That is a promise not to be denied."

Fa 'aqaroohaa faqaala tamatta'oo fee daarikum salaasata aiyaamin zaalika wa'dun ghairu makzoob

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّیۡنَا صَـٰلِحࣰا وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَّا وَمِنۡ خِزۡیِ یَوۡمِىِٕذٍۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡقَوِیُّ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ

پھر جب ہمارا حکم آ پہنچا تو ہم نے صالح کو اورجو اس کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے اپنی رحمت سے بچا لیا اور اس دن کی رسوائی سے نجات دی بے شک تیرا رب وہی زور والا زبردست ہے

So when Our command came, We saved Salih and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us, and [saved them] from the disgrace of that day. Indeed, it is your Lord who is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might.

Falammaa jaaa'a amrunaa najjainaa Saalihanw wal lazeena aamanoo ma'ahoo birahmatim minnaa wa min khizyi Yawmi'iz inna Rabbaka Huwal Qawiyyul 'Azeez

وَأَخَذَ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ فِی دِیَـٰرِهِمۡ جَـٰثِمِینَ

اوران ظالموں کو ہولناک آواز نے پکڑ لیا پھر صبح کو اپنے گھروں میں اوندھے پڑے ہوئے رہ گئے

And the shriek seized those who had wronged, and they became within their homes [corpses] fallen prone

Wa akhazal lazeena zalamus saihatu fa asbahoo fee diyaarihim jaasimeena

كَأَن لَّمۡ یَغۡنَوۡا۟ فِیهَاۤۗ أَلَاۤ إِنَّ ثَمُودَا۟ كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمۡۗ أَلَا بُعۡدࣰا لِّثَمُودَ

گویا کہ کبھی وہاں رہے ہی نہ تھے خبردار ثمود نے اپنے رب کا انکار کیا تھا خبردار ثمود پر پھٹکار ہے

As if they had never prospered therein. Unquestionably, Thamud denied their Lord; then, away with Thamud.

Ka al lam yaghnaw feehaaa; alaaa inna Samooda kafaroo Rabbahum; alaa bu'dal li Samood.

وَلَقَدۡ جَاۤءَتۡ رُسُلُنَاۤ إِبۡرَ ٰ⁠هِیمَ بِٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ قَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمࣰاۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمࣱۖ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَن جَاۤءَ بِعِجۡلٍ حَنِیذࣲ

اور ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے ابراھیم کے پاس خوشخبری لے کر آئے انہوں نے کہا سلام اس نے کہا سلام پس دیر نہ کی کہ ایک بھنا ہوا بچھڑا لے آیا

And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf.

Wa laqad jaaa'at Rusulunaaa Ibraaheema bilbushraa qaaloo salaaman qaala salaamun famaa labisa an jaaa'a bi'ijin haneez

فَلَمَّا رَءَاۤ أَیۡدِیَهُمۡ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَیۡهِ نَكِرَهُمۡ وَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِیفَةࣰۚ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفۡ إِنَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِ لُوطࣲ

پھر جب دیکھا کہ ان کے ہاتھ اس تک نہیں پہنچتے تو انہیں اجنبی سمجھا اوران سے ڈرا انہوں نے کہا خوف نہ کرو ہم تو لوط کی قوم کی طرف بھیجحے گئے ہیں

But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot."

Falammaa ra aaa aidiyahum laa tasilu ilaihi nakirahum wa awjasa minhum kheefah; qaaloo la takhaf innaaa ursilnaaa ilaa qawmi Loot

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ قَاۤىِٕمَةࣱ فَضَحِكَتۡ فَبَشَّرۡنَـٰهَا بِإِسۡحَـٰقَ وَمِن وَرَاۤءِ إِسۡحَـٰقَ یَعۡقُوبَ

اور اس کی عورت کھڑی تھی تب وہ ہنس پڑی پھر ہم نے اسے اسحاق کے پیدا ہونے کی خوشخبری دی اور اسحاق کے بعد یعقوب کی

And his Wife was standing, and she smiled. Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob.

Wamra atuhoo qaaa'imatun fadahikat fabashsharnaahaa bi Ishaaqa wa minw waraaa'i Ishaaqa Ya'qoob

قَالَتۡ یَـٰوَیۡلَتَىٰۤ ءَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا۠ عَجُوزࣱ وَهَـٰذَا بَعۡلِی شَیۡخًاۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَیۡءٌ عَجِیبࣱ

وہ بولی اے افسوس کیا میں بوڑھی ہو کر جنوں گی میرا خاوند بھی بوڑھا ہے یہ تو ایک عجیب بات ہے

She said, "Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this, my husband, is an old man? Indeed, this is an amazing thing!"

Qaalat yaa wailataaa 'aalidu wa ana 'ajoozunw wa haaza ba'lee shaikhan inna haazaa lashai'un 'ajeeb

قَالُوۤا۟ أَتَعۡجَبِینَ مِنۡ أَمۡرِ ٱللَّهِۖ رَحۡمَتُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَـٰتُهُۥ عَلَیۡكُمۡ أَهۡلَ ٱلۡبَیۡتِۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَمِیدࣱ مَّجِیدࣱ

انہوں نے کہا کیاتو الله کے حکم سے تعجب کرتی ہے تم پر اے گھر والو الله کی رحمت اور اس کی برکتیں ہیں بے شک وہ تعریف کیا ہوا بزرگ ہے

They said, "Are you amazed at the decree of Allah? May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, people of the house. Indeed, He is Praiseworthy and Honorable."

Qaalooo ata'jabeena min amril laahi rahmatul laahi wa barakaatuho 'alaikum Ahlal Bayt; innahoo Hameedum Majeed

فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنۡ إِبۡرَ ٰ⁠هِیمَ ٱلرَّوۡعُ وَجَاۤءَتۡهُ ٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ یُجَـٰدِلُنَا فِی قَوۡمِ لُوطٍ

جب ابراھیم سے ڈر جاتا رہا اور اسے خوشخبری آئی ہم سے قوم لوط کے حق میں جھگڑنے لگا

And when the fright had left Abraham and the good tidings had reached him, he began to argue with Us concerning the people of Lot.

Falammaa zahaba an Ibraaheemar raw'u wa jaaa'at hul bushraaa yujaadilunaa fee qawmi Loot

إِنَّ إِبۡرَ ٰ⁠هِیمَ لَحَلِیمٌ أَوَّ ٰ⁠هࣱ مُّنِیبࣱ

بے شک ابراھیم بردبار نرم دل اور الله کی طرف رجوع کرنے والا تھا

Indeed, Abraham was forbearing, grieving and [frequently] returning [to Allah].

Inna Ibraaheema lahaleemun awwwaahum muneeb

یَـٰۤإِبۡرَ ٰ⁠هِیمُ أَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡ هَـٰذَاۤۖ إِنَّهُۥ قَدۡ جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُ رَبِّكَۖ وَإِنَّهُمۡ ءَاتِیهِمۡ عَذَابٌ غَیۡرُ مَرۡدُودࣲ

اے ابراھیم یہ خیال چھوڑ دے کیوں کہ تیرے رب کا حکم آ چکا ہے اور بے شک ان پرعذاب آ کر ہی رہے گا جو ٹلنے والا نہیں

[The angels said], "O Abraham, give up this [plea]. Indeed, the command of your Lord has come, and indeed, there will reach them a punishment that cannot be repelled."

Yaaa Ibraaheemu a'rid 'an haazaaa innahoo qad jaaa'a amru Rabbika wa innahum aateehim 'azaabun ghairun mardood

وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَتۡ رُسُلُنَا لُوطࣰا سِیۤءَ بِهِمۡ وَضَاقَ بِهِمۡ ذَرۡعࣰا وَقَالَ هَـٰذَا یَوۡمٌ عَصِیبࣱ

اور جب ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے لوط کے پاس پہنچے تو ان کے آنے سے غمگین ہوا اور دل میں تنگ ہوا اور کہا آج کا دن بڑا سخت ہے

And when Our messengers, [the angels], came to Lot, he was anguished for them and felt for them great discomfort and said, "This is a trying day."

Wa lammaa jaaa'at Rusulunaa Lootan seee'a bihim wa daaqa bihim zar'anw wa qaala haazaa yawmun 'aseeb

وَجَاۤءَهُۥ قَوۡمُهُۥ یُهۡرَعُونَ إِلَیۡهِ وَمِن قَبۡلُ كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلسَّیِّـَٔاتِۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ بَنَاتِی هُنَّ أَطۡهَرُ لَكُمۡۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ فِی ضَیۡفِیۤۖ أَلَیۡسَ مِنكُمۡ رَجُلࣱ رَّشِیدࣱ

اور اس کے پاس اس کی قوم بے اختیار دوڑتی آئی اور یہ لوگ پہلے ہی سے برے کام کیا کرتے تھے کہا اےمیری قوم یہ میری بیٹیاں ہیں یہ تمہارے لیے پاک ہیں سو تم الله سے ڈرو اور میرے مہمانو ں میں مجھے ذلیل نہ کرو کیا تم میں کوئی بھی بھلا آدمی نہیں

And his people came hastening to him, and before [this] they had been doing evil deeds. He said, "O my people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a man of reason?"

Wa jaaa'ahoo qawmuhoo yuhra'oona ilaihi wa min qablu kaanoo ya'maloonas saiyiaat; qaala yaa qawmi haaa'ulaaa'i banaatee hunna atharu lakum fattaqul laaha wa laa tukhzooni fee daifee alaisa minkum rajulur rasheed

قَالُوا۟ لَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتَ مَا لَنَا فِی بَنَاتِكَ مِنۡ حَقࣲّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعۡلَمُ مَا نُرِیدُ

انہوں نے کہا البتہ تحقیق تو جانتا ہے کہ ہمیں تیری بیٹیوں سے کوئی غرض نہیں اور تجھے معلوم ہے جو ہم چاہتے ہیں

They said, "You have already known that we have not concerning your daughters any claim, and indeed, you know what we want."

Qaaloo laqad 'alimta maa lanaa fee banastika min haqq, wa innaka lata'lamu maa nureed

قَالَ لَوۡ أَنَّ لِی بِكُمۡ قُوَّةً أَوۡ ءَاوِیۤ إِلَىٰ رُكۡنࣲ شَدِیدࣲ

کہا کاش کہ مجھے تمہارے مقابلے کی طاقت ہو تی یا میں کسی زبردست سہارے کی پناہ جا لیتا

He said, "If only I had against you some power or could take refuge in a strong support."

Qaala law anna lee bikum quwwatan aw aaweee ilaa ruknin shadeed

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰلُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَن یَصِلُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡكَۖ فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعࣲ مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ وَلَا یَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَكَۖ إِنَّهُۥ مُصِیبُهَا مَاۤ أَصَابَهُمۡۚ إِنَّ مَوۡعِدَهُمُ ٱلصُّبۡحُۚ أَلَیۡسَ ٱلصُّبۡحُ بِقَرِیبࣲ

فرشتوں نے کہا اے لوط بے شک ہم تیرے رب کے بھیجے ہوئے ہیں یہ تم تک ہرگز نہ پہنچ سکیں گے سو کچھ حصہ رات رہے اپنے لوگوں کو لے نکل اور تم میں سے کوئی مڑ کر نہ دیکھے مگر تیری عورت کہ اس پر بھی وہی بلا آنے والی ہے جو ان پر آئے گی ان کے وعدہ کا وقت صبح ہے کیا صبح کا وقت نزدیک نہیں ہے

The angels said, "O Lot, indeed we are messengers of your Lord; [therefore], they will never reach you. So set out with your family during a portion of the night and let not any among you look back - except your wife; indeed, she will be struck by that which strikes them. Indeed, their appointment is [for] the morning. Is not the morning near?"

Qaaloo yaa Lootu innaa Rusulu Rabbika lai yasiloo ilaika fa asri bi ahlika biqit 'im minal laili wa laa yaltafit minkum ahadun illam ra ataka innahoo museebuhaa maaa asaabahum; inna maw'i dahumus subh; alaisas subhu biqareeb

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا جَعَلۡنَا عَـٰلِیَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهَا حِجَارَةࣰ مِّن سِجِّیلࣲ مَّنضُودࣲ

پھر جب ہمارا حکم پہنچا تو ہم نے وہ بستیاں الٹ دیں اور اس زمین پر کھنگر کے پتھر برسانا شروع کیے جو لگاتار گر رہے تھے

So when Our command came, We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of layered hard clay, [which were]

Falammaa jaaa'a amrunaa ja'alnaa 'aaliyahaa saafilahaa wa amtamaa 'alaihaa hijaaratam min sijjeelim mandood

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَۖ وَمَا هِیَ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ بِبَعِیدࣲ

جن پر تیرے رب کے ہاں سے خاص نشان بھی تھا اور یہ بستیاں ان ظالموں سے کچھ دور نہیں ہیں

Marked from your Lord. And Allah 's punishment is not from the wrongdoers [very] far.

Musawwamatan 'inda Rabbik; wa maa hiya minaz zaalimena biba'eed

۞ وَإِلَىٰ مَدۡیَنَ أَخَاهُمۡ شُعَیۡبࣰاۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَیۡرُهُۥۖ وَلَا تَنقُصُوا۟ ٱلۡمِكۡیَالَ وَٱلۡمِیزَانَۖ إِنِّیۤ أَرَىٰكُم بِخَیۡرࣲ وَإِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمࣲ مُّحِیطࣲ

اورمدین کی طرف ان کے بھائی شعیب کو بھیجا کہ اے میری قوم الله کی بندگی کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں اور ناپ اور تول کو نہ گھٹاؤ میں تمہیں آسودہ حال دیکھتا ہوں اور تم پر ایک گھیر لینے والے دن کے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہوں

And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. And do not decrease from the measure and the scale. Indeed, I see you in prosperity, but indeed, I fear for you the punishment of an all-encompassing Day.

Wa ilaa Madyana akhaahum Shu'aibaa; qaala yaa qawmi' budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuhoo wa laa tanqusul mikyaala walmeezaan; inneee araakum bikhairinw wa innee akhaafu 'alaikum 'azaaba Yawmim muheet

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ أَوۡفُوا۟ ٱلۡمِكۡیَالَ وَٱلۡمِیزَانَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡیَاۤءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِینَ

اور اے میری قوم انصاف سے ناپ اور تول کو پورا کرو اور لوگو ں کو ان کی چیزیں گھٹا کر نہ دو اور زمین میں فساد نہ مچاؤ

And O my people, give full measure and weight in justice and do not deprive the people of their due and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.

Wa yaa qawmi awful mikyaala walmeezaana bilqisti wa laa tabkhasun naasa ashyaaa'ahum wa laa ta'saw fil ardi mufsideen

بَقِیَّتُ ٱللَّهِ خَیۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَۚ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ عَلَیۡكُم بِحَفِیظࣲ

الله کا دیا جو باقی بچ رہے وہ تمہارے لیے بہتر ہے اگر تم ایماندار ہو اور میں تمہارا نگہبان نہیں ہوں

What remains [lawful] from Allah is best for you, if you would be believers. But I am not a guardian over you."

Baqiyyatul laahi khairul lakum in kuntum mu'mineen; wa maa ana 'alaikum bihafeez

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰشُعَیۡبُ أَصَلَوٰتُكَ تَأۡمُرُكَ أَن نَّتۡرُكَ مَا یَعۡبُدُ ءَابَاۤؤُنَاۤ أَوۡ أَن نَّفۡعَلَ فِیۤ أَمۡوَ ٰ⁠لِنَا مَا نَشَـٰۤؤُا۟ۖ إِنَّكَ لَأَنتَ ٱلۡحَلِیمُ ٱلرَّشِیدُ

انہوں نے کہا اے شعیب کیا تیری نماز تجھے یہی حکم دیتی ہے کہ ہم ان چیزوں کو چھوڑ دیں جنہیں ہمارے باپ باپ دادا پوجتے تھے یا اپنے مالوں میں اپنی خواہش کے مطابق معاملہ نہ کریں بے شک تو البتہ بردبار نیک چلن ہے

They said, "O Shu'ayb, does your prayer command you that we should leave what our fathers worship or not do with our wealth what we please? Indeed, you are the forbearing, the discerning!"

Qaaloo yaa Shu'aybu asalaatuka taamuruka an natruka maa ya'budu aabaaa'unaaa aw an naf'ala feee amwaalinaa maa nashaaa'oo innaka la antal haleemur rasheed

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّی وَرَزَقَنِی مِنۡهُ رِزۡقًا حَسَنࣰاۚ وَمَاۤ أُرِیدُ أَنۡ أُخَالِفَكُمۡ إِلَىٰ مَاۤ أَنۡهَىٰكُمۡ عَنۡهُۚ إِنۡ أُرِیدُ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِصۡلَـٰحَ مَا ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُۚ وَمَا تَوۡفِیقِیۤ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِۚ عَلَیۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ وَإِلَیۡهِ أُنِیبُ

کہا اے میری قوم دیکھو تو سہی اگر مجھے اپنے رب کی طرف سے سمجھ آ گئی ہے اور اس نے مجھے عمدہ روزی دی ہے اور میں یہ نہیں چاہتا کہ جس کام سے تجھے منع کروں میں اس کے خلاف کروں میں تو اپنی طاقت کے مطابق اصلاح ہی چاہتا ہوں اور مجھے تو صرف الله ہی سے توفیق حاصل ہوتی ہے میں اسی پر بھروسہ کرتا ہوں اور اسی کی طرف رجوع کرتا ہوں

He said, "O my people, have you considered: if I am upon clear evidence from my Lord and He has provided me with a good provision from Him...? And I do not intend to differ from you in that which I have forbidden you; I only intend reform as much as I am able. And my success is not but through Allah. Upon him I have relied, and to Him I return.

Qaala yaa qawmi ara'aitum in kuntu 'alaa baiyinatim mir Rabbee wa razaqanee minhu rizqan hasanaa; wa maaa ureedu an ukhaalifakum ilaa maaa anhaakum 'anh; in ureedu illal islaaha mastata't; wa maa tawfeeqeee illaa billaah; 'alaihi tawakkaltu wa ilaihi uneeb

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ لَا یَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شِقَاقِیۤ أَن یُصِیبَكُم مِّثۡلُ مَاۤ أَصَابَ قَوۡمَ نُوحٍ أَوۡ قَوۡمَ هُودٍ أَوۡ قَوۡمَ صَـٰلِحࣲۚ وَمَا قَوۡمُ لُوطࣲ مِّنكُم بِبَعِیدࣲ

اوراے میری قوم کہیں میری ضد سے ایسا جرم نہ کر بیٹھنا جس سے وہی مصیبت نہ آ پڑے جیسی کہ قوم نوح یا قوم ہود یا قوم صالح پر پڑی تھی اور لوط کی قوم بھی تم سے دور نہیں

And O my people, let not [your] dissension from me cause you to be struck by that similar to what struck the people of Noah or the people of Hud or the people of Salih. And the people of Lot are not from you far away.

Wa yaa qawmi laa yajri mannakum shiqaaqeee ai yuseebakum mislu maaa asaaba qawma Noohin aw qawma Hoodin aw qawma Saalih; wa maa qawmu Lootim minkum biba'eed

وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی رَحِیمࣱ وَدُودࣱ

اور اپنے الله سے معافی مانگو پھر اس کی طرف رجوع کرو بے شک میرا رب مہربان محبت والا ہے

And ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is Merciful and Affectionate."

Wastaghfiroo Rabbakum summa toobooo ilaih; inna Rabbee Raheemunw Wadood

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰشُعَیۡبُ مَا نَفۡقَهُ كَثِیرࣰا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِینَا ضَعِیفࣰاۖ وَلَوۡلَا رَهۡطُكَ لَرَجَمۡنَـٰكَۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ عَلَیۡنَا بِعَزِیزࣲ

انہوں نے کہا اے شعیب ہم بہت سی باتیں نہیں سمجھتے جو تم کہتے ہو اوربے شک ہم البتہ تمہیں اپنےمیں کمزور پاتے ہیں اور اگر تیری برادری نہ ہوتی تو تجھے ہم سنگسارکردیتے اور ہماری نظر میں تیری کوئی عزت نہیں ہے

They said, "O Shu'ayb, we do not understand much of what you say, and indeed, we consider you among us as weak. And if not for your family, we would have stoned you [to death]; and you are not to us one respected."

Qaaloo yaa Shu'aibu maa nafqahu kaseeram mimmaa taqoolu wa innaa lanaraaka feenaa da'eefanw wa law laa rahtuka larajamnaaka wa maaa anta 'alainaa bi'azeez

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَهۡطِیۤ أَعَزُّ عَلَیۡكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱتَّخَذۡتُمُوهُ وَرَاۤءَكُمۡ ظِهۡرِیًّاۖ إِنَّ رَبِّی بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ مُحِیطࣱ

کہا اے میری قوم کیا میری برادری کا دباؤ تم پر الله سے زیادہ ہے اس کو تم نے پس پشت ڈال دیا ہے بے شک میرا رب تمہارے سب اعمال پر احاطہ کرنے والا ہے

He said, "O my people, is my family more respected for power by you than Allah? But you put Him behind your backs [in neglect]. Indeed, my Lord is encompassing of what you do.

Qaala yaa qawmi arahteee a'azzu 'alaikum minal laahi wattakhaztumoohu waraaa'akum zihriyyan inna Rabbee bimaa ta'maloona muheet

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمۡ إِنِّی عَـٰمِلࣱۖ سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ مَن یَأۡتِیهِ عَذَابࣱ یُخۡزِیهِ وَمَنۡ هُوَ كَـٰذِبࣱۖ وَٱرۡتَقِبُوۤا۟ إِنِّی مَعَكُمۡ رَقِیبࣱ

اور اے میری قوم اپنی جگہ پر کام کیے جاؤ میں تم بھی کام کرتا ہوں آئندہ معلوم کر لو گے کس پر رسوا کرنے والا عذاب آتا ہے اور جھوٹا کون ہے اورانتظار کرو بے شک میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ انتظار کر رہا ہوں

And O my people, work according to your position; indeed, I am working. You are going to know to whom will come a punishment that will disgrace him and who is a liar. So watch; indeed, I am with you a watcher, [awaiting the outcome]."

Wa yaa qawmi' maloo 'alaa makaanatikum innee 'aamilun sawfa ta'lamoona mai yaateehi 'azaabuny yukhzeehi wa man huwa kaazib; wartaqibooo innnee ma'akum raqeeb

وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّیۡنَا شُعَیۡبࣰا وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَّا وَأَخَذَتِ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ فِی دِیَـٰرِهِمۡ جَـٰثِمِینَ

اور جب ہمارا حکم آ گیا تو ہم نے شعیب کو اور ان لوگوں کو جو ان کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے اپنی رحمت سے بچا لیا اوران ظالموں کو کڑک نے آ پکڑا پھر صبح کو اپنے گھروں میں اوندھے پڑے ہوئے رہ گئے

And when Our command came, We saved Shu'ayb and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us. And the shriek seized those who had wronged, and they became within their homes [corpses] fallen prone

Wa lammaa jaaa'a amrunaa najjainaa shu'aibanw wal lazeena aamanoo ma'ahoo birahmatim minnaa wa akhazatil lazeena zalamus saihatu fa asbahoo fee diyaarihim jaasimeen

كَأَن لَّمۡ یَغۡنَوۡا۟ فِیهَاۤۗ أَلَا بُعۡدࣰا لِّمَدۡیَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتۡ ثَمُودُ

گویا کبھی وہاں بسے ہی نہ تھے خبردار مدین پر پھٹکار ہے جیسے ثمود پر پھٹکار ہوئی تھی

As if they had never prospered therein. Then, away with Madyan as Thamud was taken away.

Ka-al-lam yaghnaw feehaaa; alaa bu'dal li Madyana Kamaa ba'idat Samood

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔایَـٰتِنَا وَسُلۡطَـٰنࣲ مُّبِینٍ

اور البتہ تحقیق ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیاں اور واضع سند دے کر بھیجا

And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority

Wa laqad arsalnaa Moosaa bi Aayaatinaa wa sultaanim mubeen

إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِی۟هِۦ فَٱتَّبَعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَ فِرۡعَوۡنَۖ وَمَاۤ أَمۡرُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِرَشِیدࣲ

فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کے ہاں پھر وہ فرعون کے حکم پر چلے اور فرعون کا حکم ٹھیک بھی نہ تھا

To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they followed the command of Pharaoh, and the command of Pharaoh was not [at all] discerning.

Ilaa Fir'awna wa mala'ihee fattaba'ooo amra Fir'awna wa maaa amru Fir'awna birasheed

یَقۡدُمُ قَوۡمَهُۥ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ فَأَوۡرَدَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡوِرۡدُ ٱلۡمَوۡرُودُ

قیامت کے دن اپنی قوم کے آگے ہو گا پھر انہیں آگ میں لاڈالے گا اوربرا گھاٹ ہے جس پر وہ پہنچے

He will precede his people on the Day of Resurrection and lead them into the Fire; and wretched is the place to which they are led.

Yaqdumu qawmahoo Yawmal Qiyaamati fa awrada humun Naara wa bi'sal wirdul mawrood

وَأُتۡبِعُوا۟ فِی هَـٰذِهِۦ لَعۡنَةࣰ وَیَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۚ بِئۡسَ ٱلرِّفۡدُ ٱلۡمَرۡفُودُ

اور اپنے پیچھے اس جہان میں بھی لعنت چھوڑ گئے اور قیامت کے دن کے لیے بھی برا ہی انعام ہے جو انہیں دیا جائے گا

And they were followed in this [world] with a curse and on the Day of Resurrection. And wretched is the gift which is given.

Wa utbi'oo fee haazihee la'natanw wa Yawmal Qiyaamah; bi'sar rifdul marfood

ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَاۤءِ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّهُۥ عَلَیۡكَۖ مِنۡهَا قَاۤىِٕمࣱ وَحَصِیدࣱ

یہ بستیوں کے تھوڑے سے حالات ہیں کہ تجھے سنا رہے ہیں ان میں سے کچھ تو اب تک باقی ہیں اورکچھ اجڑی پڑی ہیں

That is from the news of the cities, which We relate to you; of them, some are [still] standing and some are [as] a harvest [mowed down].

Zaalika min ambaaa'il quraa naqussuhoo 'alaika minhaa qaaa'imunw wa haseed

وَمَا ظَلَمۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَلَـٰكِن ظَلَمُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡۖ فَمَاۤ أَغۡنَتۡ عَنۡهُمۡ ءَالِهَتُهُمُ ٱلَّتِی یَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَیۡءࣲ لَّمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُ رَبِّكَۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمۡ غَیۡرَ تَتۡبِیبࣲ

اور ہم نے ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا لیکن وہی اپنی جانو ں پر ظلم کر گئے پھر ان کے وہ معبود کچھ کام نہ آئے جنہیں و ہ الله کے سوا پکارتے تھے جس وقت تیرے رب کا حکم آ پہنچا اور ان معبودوں نے سوا ہلاکت کے انہیں کچھ بھی فائدہ نہ دیا

And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than Allah when there came the command of your Lord. And they did not increase them in other than ruin.

Wa maa zalamnaahum wa laakin zalamooo anfusahum famaaa aghnat 'anhum aalihatuhumul latee yad'oona min doonil laahi min shai'il lammaa jaaa'a amru Rabbika wa maa zaadoohum ghaira tatbeeb

وَكَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ أَخۡذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَاۤ أَخَذَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ وَهِیَ ظَـٰلِمَةٌۚ إِنَّ أَخۡذَهُۥۤ أَلِیمࣱ شَدِیدٌ

اور تیرے رب کی پکڑ ایسی ہی ہوتی ہے جب وہ ظالم بستیوں کو پکڑتا ہے اور اس کی پکڑ سخت تکلیف دہ ہے

And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.

Wa kazaalika akhzu Rabbika izaaa akhazal quraa wa hiya zaalimah; inna akhzahooo aleemun shadeed

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَـَٔایَةࣰ لِّمَنۡ خَافَ عَذَابَ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ یَوۡمࣱ مَّجۡمُوعࣱ لَّهُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ یَوۡمࣱ مَّشۡهُودࣱ

اس بات میں نشانی ہے اس کے لیے جو آخرت کے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہے یہ ایک ایسا دن ہوگا جس میں سب لوگ جمع ہوں گے اور یہی دن ہے جس میں سب حاضر کیے جائیں گے

Indeed in that is a sign for those who fear the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a Day for which the people will be collected, and that is a Day [which will be] witnessed.

Inna fee zaalika la aayatal liman khaafa 'azaabal Aakhirah; zaalika Yawmum majmoo'ul lahun naasu wa zaalika Yawmum mashhood

وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُۥۤ إِلَّا لِأَجَلࣲ مَّعۡدُودࣲ

اور ہم اسے تھوڑی مدت کے لیے ملتوی کیے ہوئے ہیں

And We do not delay it except for a limited term.

Wa maa nu'akhkhiruhooo illaa li ajalim ma'dood

یَوۡمَ یَأۡتِ لَا تَكَلَّمُ نَفۡسٌ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦۚ فَمِنۡهُمۡ شَقِیࣱّ وَسَعِیدࣱ

جب وہ دن آئے گا تو کوئی شخص الله کی اجازت کے سوا بات بھی نہ کر سکے گا سو ان میں سے بعض بدبخت ہیں اوربعض نیک بخت

The Day it comes no soul will speak except by His permission. And among them will be the wretched and the prosperous.

Yawma yaati laa takallamu nafsun illaa bi iznih; faminhum shaqiyyunw wa sa'eed

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ شَقُوا۟ فَفِی ٱلنَّارِ لَهُمۡ فِیهَا زَفِیرࣱ وَشَهِیقٌ

پھر جو بد ہوں گےتو وہ آگ میں ہوں گے کہ اس میں ان کی چیخ و پکار پڑی رہے گی

As for those who were [destined to be] wretched, they will be in the Fire. For them therein is [violent] exhaling and inhaling.

Fa ammal lazeena shaqoo fafin Naari lahum feehaa zafeerunw wa shaheeq

خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّالࣱ لِّمَا یُرِیدُ

اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے جب تک آسمان زمین قائم ہیں ہاں اگر تیرے الله ہی کو منظور ہو (تو دوسری بات ہے) بے شک تیار رب جو چاہے اسے پورےطور سے کر سکتا ہے

[They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends.

Khaalideena feehaa maa daamatis samaawaatu wal ardu illaa maa shaaa'a Rabbuk; inna Rabbaka fa' 'aalul limaa yureed

۞ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ سُعِدُوا۟ فَفِی ٱلۡجَنَّةِ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَۖ عَطَاۤءً غَیۡرَ مَجۡذُوذࣲ

اور جو لوگ نیک بخت ہیں سو جنت میں ہو ں گے اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے جب تک آسمان زمین قائم ہیں ہاں اگر تیرے الله ہی کو منظور ہو تو (دوسری بات ہے) یہ بے انتہا عطیہ ہو گا

And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will - a bestowal uninterrupted.

Wa ammal lazeena su'idoo fafil Jannati khaalideena feehaa maa daamatis samaawaatu wal ardu illaa maa shaaa'a Rabbuk; ataaa'an ghaira majzooz

فَلَا تَكُ فِی مِرۡیَةࣲ مِّمَّا یَعۡبُدُ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِۚ مَا یَعۡبُدُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا یَعۡبُدُ ءَابَاۤؤُهُم مِّن قَبۡلُۚ وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُمۡ نَصِیبَهُمۡ غَیۡرَ مَنقُوصࣲ

سو تو ان چیزوں سے شک میں نہ رہ جنہیں یہ پوجتے ہیں یہ لوگ کچھ نہیں پوجتے مگر اسی طرح سے کہ جس طرح ان سے پہلے ان کے باپ دادا پوجتے تھے اور بے شک ہم انہیں عذاب کا پورا حصہ دے کر رہیں گے

So do not be in doubt, [O Muhammad], as to what these [polytheists] are worshipping. They worship not except as their fathers worshipped before. And indeed, We will give them their share undiminished.

Falaa taku fee miryatim mimmmaa ya'budu haaa'ulaaa'; maa ya'budoona illaa kamaa ya'budu aabaaa'uhum min qabl; wa innaa lamuwaf foohum naseebahum ghaira manqoos

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ فَٱخۡتُلِفَ فِیهِۚ وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةࣱ سَبَقَتۡ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِیَ بَیۡنَهُمۡۚ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَفِی شَكࣲّ مِّنۡهُ مُرِیبࣲ

اور البتہ ہم نے موسیٰ کو کتاب دی تھی پھراس میں اختلاف کیا گیا اور اگر تیرے رب کی طرف سے ایک بات مقرر نہ ہو چکی ہوتی تو ان میں فیصلہ ہو جاتا اور بے شک اس کی طرف سے ایسے شک میں ہیں کہ مطمئن نہیں ہو نے دیتا

And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been judged between them. And indeed they are, concerning the Qur'an, in disquieting doubt.

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba fakhtulifa feeh; wa law laa Kalimatun sabaqat mir Rabbika laqudiya bainahum; wa innahum lafee shakkim minhu mureeb

وَإِنَّ كُلࣰّا لَّمَّا لَیُوَفِّیَنَّهُمۡ رَبُّكَ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِمَا یَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ

اورجتنے لوگ ہیں جب وقت آیا تیرا رب انہیں ان کے اعمال پورے دے گا بےشک وہ خبردار ہے اس چیز سے جو کر رہے ہیں

And indeed, each [of the believers and disbelievers] - your Lord will fully compensate them for their deeds. Indeed, He is Acquainted with what they do.

Wa inna kullal lammaa la yuwaffiyannahum Rabbuka a'maalahum; innahoo bimaa ya'maloona Khabeer

فَٱسۡتَقِمۡ كَمَاۤ أُمِرۡتَ وَمَن تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطۡغَوۡا۟ۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرࣱ

سو تو پکا رجیسا تجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے اور جنہوں نے تیرے ساتھ توبہ کی ہے اور حد سے نہ بڑھو بے شک وہ دیکھتا ہے جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو

So remain on a right course as you have been commanded, [you] and those who have turned back with you [to Allah], and do not transgress. Indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.

Fastaqim kamaaa umirta wa man taaba ma'aka wa laa tatghaw; innahoo bimaa ta'maloona Baseer

وَلَا تَرۡكَنُوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ فَتَمَسَّكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنۡ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ

اوران کی طرف مت جھکو جو ظالم ہیں پھر تمہیں بھی آگ چھوئے گی اور الله کے سوا تمہارا کوئی مددگار نہیں ہے پھر کہیں سے مدد نہ پاؤ گے

And do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest you be touched by the Fire, and you would not have other than Allah any protectors; then you would not be helped.

Wa laa tarkanooo ilal lazeena zalamoo fatamassa kumun Naaru wa maa lakum min doonil laahi min awliyaaa'a summa laa tunsaroon

وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ طَرَفَیِ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَزُلَفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِۚ إِنَّ ٱلۡحَسَنَـٰتِ یُذۡهِبۡنَ ٱلسَّیِّـَٔاتِۚ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلذَّ ٰ⁠كِرِینَ

اور دن کے دونو ں طرف اورکچھ حصہ رات کا نماز قائم کر بے شک نیکیاں برائیوں کو دور کرتی ہیں یہ نصیحت حاصل کرنے والوں کے لیے نصیحت ہے

And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.

Wa aqimis Salaata tarafayin nahaari wa zulafam minal layl; innal hasanaati yuzhibnas saiyi aat; zaalika zikraa liz zaakireen

وَٱصۡبِرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یُضِیعُ أَجۡرَ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ

اور صبر کر بے شک الله نیکی کرنے والوں کا اجر ضائع نہیں کرتا

And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.

Wasbir fa innal laaha laa yudee'u ajral muhsineen

فَلَوۡلَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ أُو۟لُوا۟ بَقِیَّةࣲ یَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡفَسَادِ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰا مِّمَّنۡ أَنجَیۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡۗ وَٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَاۤ أُتۡرِفُوا۟ فِیهِ وَكَانُوا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ

سو ان جماعتوں میں ایسے لوگ کیوں نہ ہوئے جو تم سے پہلے تھیں جو ملک میں فساد پھیلانے سے منع کرتے بجز چند آدمیوں کے جنہیں ہم نے ان میں سے بچا لیا تھا اور جن لوگو ں نے نافرمانی کی تھی وہ تو انہیں لذتوں کے پیچھے پڑے رہے جو ان کو دی گئی تھیں اور وہ مجرم تھے

So why were there not among the generations before you those of enduring discrimination forbidding corruption on earth - except a few of those We saved from among them? But those who wronged pursued what luxury they were given therein, and they were criminals.

Falw laa kaana minal qurooni min qablikum ooloo baqiyyatiny yanhawna 'anil fasaadi fil ardi illaa qaleelam mimman anjainaa minhum; wattaba'al lazeena zalamoo maaa utrifoo feehi wa kaanoo mujrimeen

وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِیُهۡلِكَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ بِظُلۡمࣲ وَأَهۡلُهَا مُصۡلِحُونَ

اور تیرا رب ہرگز ایسا نہیں جو بستیوں کو زبردستی ہلاک کر دے اور وہاں کے لوگ نیک ہوں

And your Lord would not have destroyed the cities unjustly while their people were reformers.

Wa maa kaana Rabbuka liyuhlikal quraa bizulminw wa ahluhaa muslihoon

وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ أُمَّةࣰ وَ ٰ⁠حِدَةࣰۖ وَلَا یَزَالُونَ مُخۡتَلِفِینَ

اور اگر تیرا رب چاہتا تو سب لوگو ں کو ایک رستہ پر ڈال دیتا اور ہمیشہ اختلاف میں رہیں گے

And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community; but they will not cease to differ.

Wa law shaaa'a Rabbuka laja'alannnaasa ummatanw waa hidatanw wa laa yazaaloona mukhtalifeen

إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ رَبُّكَۚ وَلِذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ خَلَقَهُمۡۗ وَتَمَّتۡ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأَمۡلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجۡمَعِینَ

مگر جس پر تیرے رب نے رحم کیا اور اسی لیے انہیں پیدا کیا ہے اور تیرے رب کی یہ بات پوری ہو کر رہے گی کہ البتہ دوزخ کو اکھٹے جنوں اور آدمیوں سے بھر دوں گا

Except whom your Lord has given mercy, and for that He created them. But the word of your Lord is to be fulfilled that, "I will surely fill Hell with jinn and men all together."

Illaa mar rahima Rabbuk; wa lizaalika khalaqahum; wa tammat Kalimatu Rabbika la amla'ana Jahannama minal jinnati wannnaasi ajma'een

وَكُلࣰّا نَّقُصُّ عَلَیۡكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَاۤءِ ٱلرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَۚ وَجَاۤءَكَ فِی هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَمَوۡعِظَةࣱ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ

اور ہم رسولوں کے حالات تیرے پاس اس لیے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ان سے تیرے دل کو مضبوط کر دیں اور ان واقعات میں تیرے پاس حق بات پہنچ جائے گی اور ایمانداروں کے لیے نصیحت اور یاد دہانی ہے

And each [story] We relate to you from the news of the messengers is that by which We make firm your heart. And there has come to you, in this, the truth and an instruction and a reminder for the believers.

Wa kullan naqussu 'alaika min ambaaa'ir Rusuli maa nusabbitu bihee fu'aadak; wa jaaa'aka fee haazihil haqqu wa maw'izatunw wa zikraa lilmu' mineen

وَقُل لِّلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ٱعۡمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمۡ إِنَّا عَـٰمِلُونَ

اوران سے کہہ دو جو ایمان نہیں لاتے اپنے جگہ پر کام کیے جاؤ ہم بھی کام کرتے ہیں

And say to those who do not believe, "Work according to your position; indeed, we are working.

Wa qul lillazeena laa yu'minoona' maloo 'alaa makaanatikum innaa 'aamiloon

وَٱنتَظِرُوۤا۟ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ

اور انتظار کرو ہم بھی منتظر ہیں

And wait, indeed, we are waiting."

Wantaziroo innaa mun taziroon

وَلِلَّهِ غَیۡبُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِلَیۡهِ یُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ كُلُّهُۥ فَٱعۡبُدۡهُ وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَیۡهِۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَـٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ

اور آسمانوں اور زمین کی پوشیدہ بات الله ہی جانتا ہے اور سب کام کا رجوع اسی کی طرف ہے پس اسی کی عبادت کرو اور اسی پر بھروسہ رکھ اور تیرا رب بے خبر نہیں اس سے جو کرتے ہو

And to Allah belong the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth and to Him will be returned the matter, all of it, so worship Him and rely upon Him. And your Lord is not unaware of that which you do.

Wa lillaahi ghaibus samaawaati wal ardi wa ilaihi yurja'ul amru kulluhoo fa'bu-dhu wa tawakkal 'alaih; wa maa Rabbuka bighaafilin 'ammaa ta'maloon
